Arsenal play their first team. We rested our keeper and strikers and 2-1 up.
He's shielded his position but is very poor at winning tackles/recovering the ball.Mate, come on. Young has been very good.
Shaw wouldn’t have been left do that under MourinhoGreat run from Shaw to start it as well. I was thinking wtf is he doing running sideways to the other end of the pitch
That’s fine. What isn’t is him shadowing iwobi till arsenal midfield gets into our box.Young gets exposed for the same reason that Lukaku is getting freedom. Arsenal's leftback is pushing up.
We should really get a first-choice LB and tell Shaw to go to China if he wants an easy payday. He really does need a boot up his fat arse. When Shaw is shite defensively, he really has nothing else to provide considering he's also shite offensively.
Not a major problem, but anyone who still doesn't think we'll need to upgrade on him sooner rather than later is deluding himself imo.
Arsenal are 2-on-1 on Young with every attack. That’s fine. What isn’t is him shadowing iwobi till arsenal midfield gets into our box.
He just seems a bit lazy to get to the ball for me when Arsenal have it on the wing heading to goal.Shaw has been one of our best players, and some of you can’t cut him some slack. Pogba has been abysmal helping him out, Alexis the same.
We will win this 1-4
Also he has our best ball winner in the team helping him, Ander. But its not his job to be at rightback blocking crosses and stopping players dribbling in from the right of our box into the box. Thats Young's responsibility
BBC showed 5 good chances Arsenal made coming from their left hand side including the goal. Couldnt do that for their right side
By the way, despite the goal I think Alexis is done on this level. Not speed, not drible, doesnt add much to the game. Looses the ball constantly and fails to really create anything for anyone around him
Thought he was good before the goal. Looks bright. Was almost in the right place for that cross and causing problems down the left.By the way, despite the goal I think Alexis is done on this level. Not speed, not drible, doesnt add much to the game. Looses the ball constantly and fails to really create anything for anyone around him
Watched the goal and really don't see what's the extraordinary thing in this pass tbh.
Clearly not, but hard to spot on here to be fair.Glad you noticed the sarcasm mate
Andreas not on bench’We need to get Fred & Andreas into this game.
You just made me google the 2016 law change, and it turns out your smugness is backed up by being correct Pint on me.You’re wrong and a simple google search would correct you.
Your latter example is extremely unlikely but correct, yes.
He basically created that second goal with that pass to Lukaku, and defends the left side on his own. Cut him some slack. When Shaw is shite defensively, he really has nothing else to provide considering he's also shite offensively.
Not a major problem, but anyone who still doesn't think we'll need to upgrade on him sooner rather than later is deluding himself imo.
Mate, come on. Young has been very good.
It's obviously tactical. Ole wants our attackers to stay high up the pitch for the counter and not track back like they were doing before.Shaw has been one of our best players, and some of you can’t cut him some slack. Pogba has been abysmal helping him out, Alexis the same.
This isn't a matchday thread. It's a confirmation bias thread.Obviously they'll go down our right... Sanchez is tracking back on the left, Lukaku isn't on the right. It would make no sense to come down the right side for them, especially as they're not even playing a right winger!!
Their chances have come from crosses, which maybe Young could get in the way of, but nobody has got past him or beaten him.
The shape he is in is why I’ll never cut him any slack. He creates all his own problems because he can’t be bothered staying fit.
I agree, but I think that he is done on the wing. Still has a role centrally in my opinion.
