    MUTV predicted lineup.

    DDG

    Valencia
    Blackett
    Smalling
    Shaw

    Mata
    Mop
    Carrick
    Di Maria

    Rooney
    RVP.
Swap Mata for Herrera and I'm happy enough.

That back four would make sense as van Gaal always wants a right footer/left footer centre back partnership and he's not going to choose McNair alongside Blackett.

    SO thats
    --------Carrick
    Fellaini-------Di Maria
    ---------Mata
    -van Persie-Rooney

    OK..
Di Maria central. Mata starts. Not all bad

I think it's more likely to be Mata on the wing, like in the second half of the Palace game.

Then support another club, I get so excitedfor match days I can't stand it. This season with these long fecking breaks has been awful. Perhaps your issue is with football rather than just Utd.
Try watching the NFL, you'll be back quickly; or even better, the NBA.

I only get the negativity with regards to Herrera not being selected, other than that we need to remember we are playing world footballs biggest bottlers

That's what I predicted, except I had McNair in for Blackett.

    I had it as a 4141, though:

    De Gea
    Valencia - McNair - Smalling - Shaw
    Carrick
Di Maria - Fellaini - Rooney - Mata
    Van Persie

I'm the same personally. I used to be so passionate about football and while I still watch every United match (when I'm not working), I do feel slightly disillusioned by football in general now and as a consequence I can't enjoy watching United as much as I used too. I am very excited by this game though.

If it's Carrick and Fellaini in the middle then we're in trouble. Absolutely no speed when it comes to moving the ball.
They can take it in turns cowering under pressure and languidly plopping the ball around. Bit worried.

From a midfield of Blind/Herrera/Di Maria to Carrick/Fellaini.

    Makes me feel physically sick.

If Herrera doesn't start today it would be truly bizarre, we need some energy and creativity in the middle. How could he miss out again?
Christ knows. I love Mata, but he will not drop back to cover the full backs. Why play Fellaini against Arsenal. Slightest elbow and Arsenal will go down like a sack of spuds.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Ramsey, Arteta, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck, Sanchez #AFC #MUFC

A 3-5-2 is inherintely defensive, but it's the best way I can think of to protect a shaky backline against the very inform Sanchez and arguably Welbz.

    de Gea
    Smalling
    McNair
    Blackett
    Shaw
    Carrick
    Valencia
    Fellaini
    Rooney
    Di Maria
    van Persie

    Oh dear God.

I actually don't think I want to watch this. Its going to be a massacre.

Here's hoping Herrera comes on for fellaini in the second half, hopeully a better game from Di maria now that he's back in the middle too.

    Fellaini's birthday today.

27 years old, I swear just last season Neville was talking about how he is one of the top exciting young players in the country.

That's a strong front five from Arsenal. Gutted Cazorla isn't starting ahead of Chamberlain.

Oh fecking bollocks. 3 at the back? And Smalling will be the leader of it. This isn't going to be pretty

Shaw as a wingback could be interesting.
