In the latest episode of the United Hour Podcast, Nik (@Rood) and Imran (@Annihilate Now!) are here to discuss three 1-1 draws.
The first got us knocked out of the FA Cup, the next puts us in a good position in our Round of 16 Europa League game, and the latest was an actual decent performance against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
All hopes for the season now rest on the Europa League - does Amorim have the squad to win it?

Yeah this is totally fair I think - 2 titles in 40 years as you say vs what will likely be 11 out of 14 this season is a huge turnaround.
The CL is obviously the one people look at considering they had a forward line of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe at one point but a lot of the opinion around this really discounts just how hard it is to win I think - Real have won 50% of them since PSG have been back in it and the others (Bayern, Barca, Liverpool, Chelsea, City) are all elite sides as well. They obviously made a final and have consistently been in the latter stages.
I still think they have a chance this season as well, I said after the draw that the winner of Liverpool/PSG might be my favourite to win (outside of the fact Real just seem to have this competition on lock) and 100% they are still in it, Liverpool have to be favourites now taking a lead back to Anfield but it's not inconceivable given the way PSG played as a whole that they could largely dominate again and be more clinical this time in the return leg.
When you consider that the only player who took the field for them yesterday over 28 was Marquinhos as well, they should have the core of this current squad together for a while yet. If they can continue to develop this system under Enrique and make 1 or 2 additions to the squad, they will be amongst the 4 or 5 times I'd peg as favourites for each of the next few seasons.

Enrique has done a marvelous job at PSG. Such a likeable team now with no big egos just players playing for the team and wanting team success over individual glory.

Can't see them winning at Anfield and especially not by 2 goals. Didn't watch the game but looking at stats it seems like they completely dominated and on another day could've won with 2 or 3. Shame..
They have signed basically all the young talent in the world. That midfield is ridiculous.

On the basis of the game they blew Liverpool apart, it was a phenomenal performance from Alison that was the difference, it's not a factor that typically be in consideration throughout most games in a season. Like what Enrique is doing I personally consider him an elite coach, I know Spain won the Euro's after his departure but they did play good football just amassed poor results under his tenure.

He'd have been written off when he couldn't get Hojlund to score 25 league goals after a month in the job.

They have radically changed their approach, in a much more sensible way, and there's undeniable promise. They have a talented team playing for each other and Luis Enrique has done a fantastic job so far. If they keep at it, PSG will win the UCL in the coming seasons.
Liverpool were completely outclassed and got away with murder. Also, there's still a second leg to play.

Turns out you can perhaps build a better team without three forwards who don't do anything if they don't have the ball
