The enduring myth of the preseason. It's also going to be a tad more difficult since the players we need will be signed in that window themselves, so the new players won't get a preseason even if the rest of the squad does.

Garnacho has got a conversion rate of 5.9% with 51 shots in the PL. He also shoots the most frequently in our team. A shot every 26mins.

Wish he would focus on improving his finishing and/or decision making.

Mateta as well but my conclusion from that is that if you have a decent build up play and decent attack with a big guy upfront he'll get you goals.

Forest have embraced Nuno-ball. They're happy to sit back and counter and pick teams apart. Recall all of the complaints we had under Ole for doing the same in big games. The reality is that people expect United to play a different way from Forest. We can't sit back and be dominated by other teams at home and snatch results on the counter.

If you draw a few at home in a row, you're under pressure as a United manager.

And the really damning this is he wasn’t even a good judge of the players he worked with in training every week. Playing Mazraoui over Amad at 10 will go down as one of the most bizarre selection decisions ever made at the club.

I have actually seen an improvement in Garnacho since he came back into the team, he now cuts back and across the box far more often.
 
Why is Dorgu on the right and Dalot on the left?

I know both can play both sides but Dalot at left wingback isn’t actually very good and surely Dorgu on the left gives us the width and overlapping runs that we’ve lacked?
 
Laughable decision with the wing backs. Just sack him now if he’s doing daft things like that. Stop trying to be clever.
 
Imagine buying a left footed LWB so you no longer have to play Dalot out of position then playing both him and Dalot out of position, its absolutely ridiculous

  • LB: 24
  • RW: 11
  • LM: 9
  • LW: 5
  • RB: 3
It's only this season he's played RW a bit more:
  • RW: 10
  • LB: 7
  • LM: 3
  • RB: 2
  • LW: 1
It's not exactly outrageous to think we bought him for the left when that's where we don't have anyone.

If we bought him for left back, why did we sign another left back that joins soon?
 
He needs to help himself and stop over complicating things. Playing Dorgu on the right, what is he playing at?

Because we don't have a left back now? And the one who's joining in the summer is just 18?

I know it's not the United way anymore but having more than one player for any given position is reasonable. Especially when they're young and it's unknown whether they'll make it.
 
We’ve got a right-back who can’t play-left back, we play him left-back, we buy a left-back, we play him right-back.
 
I'm really confused by some of the basic decisions he makes. Dalot and Dorgu playing on the wrong sides means nearly every pass from them is going backwards and any time we go beyond the halfway line it's extremely predictable what each of them will do. No width.

I like the guy, he speaks well and would probably be great to have a drink or two down the pub with.

His system, however, is complete dog shit.
 
I really like Amorim, and think he absolutely needs time, some players and that we have to factor in a mid season mess and so on. But all of these things can be true, as well as starting to worry a little about how little progress we're seeing. this performance is awful, only 30 minutes in but really awful stuff. I dont get the shape, i dont get anything about this. It feels like no matter what we try or who we rotate we end up looking just as terrible. Leicester are a truly average, championship level team and to be honest they look about our level.

After palace and tonight, im having my first genuine concern, that wasnt just rooted in in play emotion. This is just objectively horrific
