Mason Mount's Many Misfortunes (please don't make another waste of money post)

Yeah we sure did, Palmer is the one which stings the most as Utd fan and went for peanuts

the exact same qualifiers apply to Maddison (Utd fan and moved for the same amount)

and very much doubt City would have sold to us

Yeah Maddison would definitely have offered something, mind you where is that player from the start of last season who had Spurs top

The stupid thing is we needed a CM not another attacking mid. So we bought an attacking mid who can do a job at best at CM. Genius.

That's just pointless to think about though, Pool/City won't sell us anyone even remotely decent.

Feel for Mount, seems crazy how much he has been injured and everyone speaks so highly of him as a person makes me want to see him succeed. I do actually think in the short stints he's had that there is a player there for the 10 in Amorim's system, he just needs to take time off and fully heal.

Crazy thing is, Mount at Chelsea would be perfect for Amorim. If he wasn't constantly getting injured he would probably be one of our key players right now. It's very strange what has happened to him.

Add “who we didn’t need at all” and it’s just laughable.

More proof that fans are often right. I would say an overwhelming majority did not understand why we were signing him and didn’t rate him that high - let alone at 60m.
I don't think so. But in this case, it was such an obviously pointless signing that anyone could/should have seen this coming.

This will surely be one of those transfers that the true story comes out on one day.
Some dodgy dealing, a favour to an agent etc.
Another being Antony, I assume

Hopefully, he gets an opportunity between now and the end of the season to make an impact.

That being said, if we're aiming for a more ruthless approach, it might be time to consider moving him on.

He's been with us for two seasons now, and honestly, I can't point to a single memorable contribution. Granted, he's been sidelined with injuries for a significant portion of that time, so it's tough to judge him too harshly. But the reality is, that could stretch into three or even four seasons. We paid £60M for him, and we've seen virtually nothing in return.

Hope he cant stay fit and hope he can show more than the total nothingness he has shown since about 2021. Two major hurdles for him to overcome to be anything other than on the transfer list in a couple of months time

Injured before end of march is my prediction.
I’m cut from a similar cloth - injury after injury after injury. Some people’s bones/muscles just aren’t cut out for it I’m afraid. And I say that with the utmost empathy as someone who can’t even do a 5k run without tearing a knee ligament.
We should be spotting these types in advance and not signing them

He never gets niggles, it's always long term injuries. I have no hope he will make any impact for us, I think he'll be sold in the summer

Calm down

From now to the end of the season, I think he’s definitely playing for his future here. Based on Sir Jim’s comments about him and Shaw not playing much (being on high wages as well) for two years now, I’m sure the board are looking to offload them.

In theory, he is very useful for one of the 10 spots.

There isn't a club on this planet who'll be interested in him after his last 2 seasons here. Honestly, my pay-to-play Sunday XIs would think twice.

No one will take him.

Wish he’d just feck off but unfortunately, we’re stuck with him.

Can’t stand the fecking sick note. Right up there with the worst. We should be putting these types out for sale, not buy them. The two London boys and a trio of snail munchers… how do we do it?

Anger management is free on the NHS FYI

I'm hopeful we get to see him before the end of the season, he knows the 10 role in a 343, be interesting now the ex Arsenal doc has quit if we see any change in some of these injuries.
