I was just talking to some guys about getting the logo of the game tattooed on my arm, so yeah, I pretty much love it to bits. The game itself like most souls/from games is excellent, but the world design, theme and lore just takes the experience to another level. Can't describe it in words.

Oh and I always felt Hollow Knight's gameworld design and even some enemy and boss placements were heavily inspired from it,
Yeah my mate said Hollow Knight is like the 2D Bloodborne. I got an erection hearing that haha

It‘s the only game I‘d ever considered buying a console for (which I ultimately didn‘t). It will come to PC one day, it will..
There's a graveyard of dreams revolving around BB PC port, BB remaster, BB remake, BB2...

There's something in me that is happy that decided to just leave this masterpiece untouched.

 Yeah in a few things that's true, but HK is definitely not a souls-like overall, but it's nice to see some general similarities. Team Cherry are pretty big souls fans anyway.

Talking of which, if you haven't go and watch/play (only possible on PC) the fan-made DLC for Hollow Knight. It's just incredible.

A show I have seen and needed a shower straight after.

Chernobyl is the highest ranked show that didn't make anyone's number 1 spot.

Yes, it's very well made, I just wish they had the balls to actually use Ukrainians and Russians for the roles.

I should have put this as my number 1 just to get a mention here. The fact that it was a ground-breaking show in the very early 90s and then came back 25 years later and was still so unique and mind-bending really makes it unique among television. It packs so many themes into what is, to me, a compelling and bingeable story. So many incredible moments. I understand it's not for everyone (I also love Refn's two shows immensely), but it's an incredible work of art, greater than just almost every other show on this Top 30 list.

I think in time, it will place higher.
Nah, i gave up on it in season 2. Its well written but nothing happens, its just the same situation rolling on and on and on with no meaningful resolution. Doesn't help that every character is a total piece of shit. I get they got there in the end but i didn't care at that point, a few funny zingers an episode wasn't enough to keep me interested

It’s better than Breaking Bad.
Yep i preferred it

I thought this was superb and thoroughly gripping TV. One of the best and most memorable things I’ve watched, despite only being a handful of episodes.

Gave up with this halfway through the first season. Seemed decent enough but just not my jam.

Thee is a big jump in points between this and the top 6, which will be coming up tomorrow.

Think Mad Men maintained the most consistently high standard of any of the top shows. It maybe doesn’t really hit the heights of some of the others (although I think at its best it most certainly did), but there’s no real dip, no weak season, no bad episodes that stand out.

Never seen it. All I hear is people saying it’s boring, but I still might watch it one day.
It's pretty slow from what I've seen and I'm not about that. It's very well made and written though. I just don't have the patience for something like this.

It's ok. Definitely overrated. I don't think I finished it, got to season 3/4 before I lost interest.

Should be higher. Incredible characters, some of the best character development, very clever plots, fantastic window into 60s New York. Everyone should watch it through.

Also season 1 Betty Draper is worth the price of admission - not to go full EAP

Superb show. You feel immersed in the world they create and the commentary on Consumerism rings true today as it did then

I second this. Couldn’t recommend it more.

… and yes, January Jones is tasty.

Mad men is so good, I really need to rewatch it. Watched few episodes randomly on TV last few weeks and it reminded me how great it is.

Yep, easily one of the pretiest women ever on TV show, IMO.

Those people probably call bcs boring as well. I would be surprised if it doesn't go to your top 20, at least, once you watch it.

Mad Men is amazing. Not much really happens, but it’s just great vibes. All about the brilliant characters and how cool it makes the era look. Don Draper, Peggy, Roger, Pete, some of the best written tv characters ever.

Same. At first I outright hated it because it totally looked out of place - now I actually like it because you can interpret it quite diverse without disturbing the whole. Wouldn‘t have made a connection to HPL myself although I read a lot of his stuff but internet nerds made a good case for one possible reading of that scene. Also a reason why I watched ghe complete second season because you‘d always expect a brilliant twist which suddenly changed that nonsense into something meaningful- didn‘t happen and made it extra painful in retrospect. It did have some moments though imho.
Never read Lovecraft, keep meaning to get into it. I did read The King in Yellow by Robert Chambers while TD was airing after finding out it influenced the show's mythology. Which book would suggest first for someone new to HPL? Is there a correct order?

2nd season really did fall completely flat. I don't remember much from it but I do recall thinking Vince Vaughan was horribly miscast.

Read the Yellow King too because of TD but I wasn't really caught by it. Think the first story was already the best for me.

It's been a while since I properly read Lovecraft. Call of Cthulhu obviously, think Whisperer in the Dark, Colour out of Space were quite memorable, personally I like Shadows over Innsmouth very much. I liked also his short stories set in New England around the Arkham area, no idea how they're named though. If you can appreciate audiobooks there is the HP Lovecraft Society which produced pretty awesome audiobooks of all his works. Think some are free to get an idea.

My favorite end of season scene of any show:
