City seem so bitter, they're like the cocky young teen in the club with gold clip on teeth, gold plated chain hanging down to his knees talking to a beauty at the bar all night, buying her drinks until he goes for a piss, only to come back to see a suave gentleman grabbing her ass, and then proceeds to point out to everyone at said club " didn't want her anyway" and the suave guy is just flashing more money etc.

Pussies!

If we do get our man, we are adding one of the biggest goal threats in the league to an already solid team.

With his workrate and ability he will also occupy defenders and make space for our other attacking players to exploit.

I'm convinced he will be a catalyst to success.

Imagine though, if you will, a player choosing to sign for the most famous and most successful football in England with one of the best managers in the world, when he could have signed for England's 7th or 8th most successful clubs, albeit with also a world class manager.

It's amazing that no journalist has considered the possibility that he might have always hoped to play at united one day and once he heard of our interest it was only ever going to be united as long as the offer was right too.

If money was the only factor he'd be more likely to snub the 20 times English champions and three time European champions to join the 4 time English champions and no time European champions.

What are Man City pulling out of?
Man City journo Sam Lee (tier 1) basically confirmed in a recent article (today) that city pulled out of the Sanchez negotiation because Sanchez and the agent play city for more money. Sanchez's only motivation is leaving arsenal, city believed he was desperate to play for pep. That was a ruse and MUFC have capitalised.

Its always funny to me that journalists who know nothing about a story are then in the know about its every detail after its broken by someone else.

Until Di Marzio spoke, where was this insight from the Engllish guys who are now running the show?

Those still thinking City are going to roar back in and take Sanchez need to read the Sam Lee article.

Sanchez's agent basically played them. He kept City interested for months and then approached city to say mufc have a better offer. Pep has taken this as a sign that Sanchez is not committed to play for him and the whole motivation for Sanchez IS LEAVIBG ARSENAL. He is desperate to leave, he doesn't care if it's city or mufc.

City could easily have him. They won't play ball, and we will.

Sanchez being desperate for city/pep is a MYTH.... ABSOLUTE MYTH.
Hopefully you're right but maybe the agent has played it perfectly and after City's result yesterday they will come back in and offer more.

It is a myth mate. Through all merchandise we earn 40-50 mil per year. Long story short, shirt sale is basically payed to us through adidas sponsor deal.
From direct sale we have maybe 5 % of every shirt sold( this part i am just guessing).
Well it is a myth but the deal with Adidas assumes that we sign high profile players like Sanchez, so the shirt sales are certainly a big factor in deals like this

Even if he is only coming because of the money, I dont care.

Eden Hazard signed for Chelsea because Sir Alex refused to pay the extra money to the agent. Look how that turned out for Chelsea and us?

Huh guess I was wrong earlier with my natural skepticism over this transfer. Genuinely thought we were getting used by agents in the press to up City's offer or to hurry them into getting it done. This is gonna be a big signing. Certainly one to get the excitement going, very similar feeling to the RVP transfer and the most excited I've been since Pogba. Not quite sure where he'll fit into our team but there are certainly a lot of possibilities.

Agreed. But I just don't think this is all about money. We've always offered the highest salaries, but we also have the history, stature and prestige of being one of the biggest football clubs in the world.

There's no way that isn't a factor in his decision even if it's not the main one.

called us "evil"

This Carlo Garganese fella's twitter feed is hysterical at the moment. He's lost it. If you need a Monday morning pick me up just have a look at it.

Its incredible seeing grown men, employed as football writers, losing their minds just because Alexis might choose to come to Man Utd. This is the kind of behaviour you would expect from children.

Honestly, when we missed out on the likes of Hazard and Nasri, I don't remember any United leaning journo having this kind of breakdown. All perspective has been lost by the ABUs. Some of the Scousers seem angrier about us making a bid for Alexis than at losing Coutinho!

Whatever happens with this transfer its been worth it just to see so much p!$$ boiled. :D

I reckon it’s going to be one of those curve balls Woodward throws and he’s trying to secure Ozil at the same time...

Malcom replaces Sanchez.
Mkhitaryan replaces Ozil.

Malcolm and Ozil will both be moving in the summer so they take Mkhitaryan to replace Sanchez now.

Yes, I asked this earlier, would Sanchez coming here sway Ozil?

PS my predictive text initially changed Ozil to Oil! Ironic.

Don't get me wrong people but i would be still surprised if we get him. He wants to leave Arsenal for the lack of trophies and being brutally honest City are and will be (at least for the foreseeable future) the best place to win titles in English and European football.

I want him, class player who will elevate us.

Yes, it's upsetting people because they know this would be a terrific signing for us and would make us a better side. Their dreams of united fading into a Liverpool length title drought are harder to believe possible if we're signing players of this quality.

If Mikhi goes then Jose is effectively replacing the one signing he made which didn't work out.

I tend to disagree with City being the best place, we are a few signings short and I believe this summer we will improve our ranks. Our team still has plenty of LvG dead wood and Mourinho has done an exceptional job in clearing the squad up while maintaining the balance and depth of our team. After the coming summer, I think we will match City and even overcome them, we are really building quite a good team.

The City of Salford.
I think a lot of these writers consider themselves disciples of Guardiola and want to see him do at city what he did at Barca and Bayern, therefore they want him to have a player like Sanchez. It is utterly pathetic.

I think this is the crux of the dynamic. They are so desperate for United to fade into obscurity it hurts the when they see signs that won't happen.

You just went from trophies to titles in the same sentence. City last won the league 4 years ago, we won it 5 years ago. Since then neither of us have won it though obviously City will this season. Let's not make out they're running away with the league every year, in the last 5 years Chelsea have won it as many times as United and City put together. In the last 10 years, we've won it 3 times, Chelsea 3 times, City twice. We can't create this false idea that they're the dominating force in world football because their results don't back it up. They're just playing really well this season, that's all. We won 3 trophies last year, City won nothing. So trophies? He'll statistically be better off with us. Titles? After this year City will have won the same amount in the last 10 years as us and Chelsea have and will be their first for 4 years. They're not smashing English football by any stretch, they're just having a great season. Maybe they'll carry that form on for the next 10 years and win 9 of the next 10 league titles but there's nothing to suggest that's going to happen at this point. People said that when they won their title 4 years ago and they didn't win every league after that either.

They're a very good team in England, amongst many other very good teams. They're not Barcelona and Real Madrid combined in Spain light years ahead of all the other teams and winning the league every year with ease.

Is there any glory though in joining city mid season when they've more or less got it sewn up?

Imagine if they go on a shit run now they've lost and we make a race of it!

Those 3 damn draws over Xmas likely to prove costly though.

Wow, person leaves one job for another for more money. Not sure why people forget that for 99% of footballers, it's a job and not a vocation....
