still not made his mind up. so blows the theory about City backing off

What else can Arsene say? He's putting the reason he's can't say anything on Sanchez or Wenger saying I can't tell you wouldn't make sense so his I can't tell you becomes an answer in itself.

If it's us then I do feel sorry for Arsenal. Must be horrible to once again watch their best player go to one of their main rivals for "pennies". They did get Sol though, which was worse.

Steady now mate. Lets not get fecking crazy here

Think Wenger is telling the truth for once, City might still get him. If he has changed his mind once, why wont it change again? On a personal level, still think City will get him at last moment agreeing to all the demands. Although it will be a betrayel of their Public stance, It makes too much financial and footballing sense to sign him.

I suspect Alexis and the entire Arsenal board are trying to keep it from Wenger that hes signing for Mourinho

Jesus christ, this can still get ugly. A lot of potential to go go tits up
Very much so :nervous:

City get annoyed at the thought of our getting stronger and buy him anyway, or Arsenal think it's better for him to go to the guys that are too good already than a rival for 4th...

I think we'll get him. Good to see us actually doing something in January again.

Wenger saying doesn't know where he'll go means city are still in play.
I think it means that he hasn't decided whether he's going to come to United in January, or see his contract out and join City on a free in the summer.
If Arsenal are signing Malcolm, then i'd say they've taken our offer and used the funds to buy a replacement. Of course, i'm probably wrong, but thats how i see it

Surely if it comes to it city will just pay the extra 10m and 400k per week. It actually does work out as an expensive deal i the deal for a player with 6 months tbf... 35m to arsenal, 30m sign on fee, 5-10m for agent before then making him city's best paid player in a year that he is 30?

Replying to A guy asking if Sanchez has agreed terms with us. Also says mkhi ahsnt agreed terms with arsenal so could be only cash deal.

No one seems to think United can do this.

Souness not even mentioning United.
They're always against us and always end up with egg on their faces. Was exactly the same with when we were rumoured to sign Pogba everyone else said he was off to Madrid and with Lukaku none of them could believe we had stole him from Chelsea. feck them all!

No but we believe simon stone.

He's no oracle. English journos have no clue on this transfer apart from the fact that City were favorites a week ago.

Even Stone has simply been spouting his opinion as opposed to sourcing information throughout this transfer.

Di Marzio says private terms with Sanchez agreed!

There you go. The King has spoken.

It's just almost to good to be true isnt it?

Remember with Lukaku and Matic? So many Smokescreens and Journalists were all briefed about how Edd played a blinder.. I just cant seem to imagine him in a united shirt.. Still expect last minute Pep to get his man and we get left with Darmian at the end of the window... Please prove me wrong!!!!

HOLY #$%^&*( ##$%^%

Di Marzio is doing this all wrong. He needs to post vague opinion pieces like Simon Stone's last effort to keep the intrigue and clicks going.
I think so... But anything can happen when nothing is signed and Pep is eager to sign him...

See Di Marzio? Get a clue FFS!

I really don’t see how. We’ve gone big on a world class player, who has a fever options, one of whom are the league leaders managed by someone he’s worked with before. If he goes there, or somewhere else, I’d prefer to see us trying to sign players like him, who could genuinely elevate us, than some of the players who have passed through the doors of late. Personally, I don’t think there’s any shame in missing out on something like this, if you’ve done all you can do. Hanging back because we’re terrified we might look daft would be much worse, IMHO.

Has he or he hasn't been arsed?
I had three identical responses.

No - he has lost his burst of pace. He's still a great player and one of the best in the league (our line up without him and Ozil today looks awful), but it's obvious that he doesn't have the acceleration he used to. His ball control means he can always create space for himself in the final third, but he can no longer do that and then sprint away from his marker. I'm just being honest with youse.
