I've seen people say he's worth 60million and you think they'd let him go for under 30 million and I'm wondering what you've been smoking. Sorry but it's amazing to me how people can be so wrong. Ronaldo would in all probably break the record. The idea we could get him for under 30 or 60million is worse then saying the Earth is flat. It's much worse believe me lol.
You sound like his agent trying to inflate his value.

Ronaldo has said he wants to leave. He's told the board he isn't happy with them and they will not want to keep a stroppy Ronaldo around because the impact of that will derail their season. If he's forcing through a move then they have to sell him and no one is going to pay silly money for someone who wants to leave and Madrid have to sell. Plus, he's 32 and probably only got 2 to 3 seasons left in him at the highest level playing week in, week out (PL, CL, World Cup). PSG will no doubt make a bid but I guarantee that it won't be insane money and they're the most likely to pay the most.

Bayern wont want to pay his transfer fee. Milan cant pay his transfer fee. PSG can but his ego wont make him go to the Premier League.
Milan have chinese money now - different kettle of fish than under the Italian PM. Can't see him going to the Italian league thoguh, but then it's still better than the French league so he's wasted there.

Only choice Ronaldo really has is United hence we should be able to get him on the cheap :wenger:

All we need is Ronaldo to make "slave" comments, then the saga would be complete.

Ok mate, you're right, players aren't 32 don't usually go into decline. History is with you on that one.

And if he costs more than £60m it'd make the idea of signing him even more ridiculous.
His decline will still be world class. A guy in the bracket of best of all time, current ballon d'or material and will remain top 10 for a while yet, can give us at least 5 top seasons, massively improve us, scoring 40+ a season. In this financial climate 60m would be a steal.

How anyone thinks "You have caused me significant legal trouble" is the opening pitch to a contract extension 7 months after signing a contract extension is fecking mental.

this is all about the tax problem and we'll see where it goes from there.
The actual wording between him and RM might be quite different, more subtle then that. The press might be twisting things to sound worse than they are.

Plus it might just be about getting an extra 15mil thrown at him to pay the taxes and fines, not a full contract extension.

Even if Ronaldo goes, I don't think Perez is losing that Election. He's been in charge for 3 of their CL wins.

Didn't Mourinho have a significant falling out with Ronaldo during his turbulent last few months at Real?

Highly unlikely Ronaldo is going to leave Real though, can't see them letting him go and think they'll do everything in their power to retain him (including paying the 15 million).

We can't have Ronaldo back - he'd be threatening to leave every 5 minutes because we 'failed to support his quest' for tthe Most Studly Socks Award or somethin'.

They'll offer to pay his tax and he'll stay.
This is what I reckon too....but didn't Mourinho say there might be a surprise in this transfer window, obviously with Mendes being both their agent it's not inconceivable that he's given Mourinho the heads up...or is it possible that I'm clutching at straws in the desperate hope that he comes back because if he did I'd be clutching at my cock, in fact I might just knock one out on the strength of this rumour.

Yup, he said he would never play for him again.

Exactly. If he does leave then the only thing stopping him from coming here will be Jose not wanting him.

I want Ronaldo back but i'm also realistic. They would calm him down long before giving him away for 30 million. I'm thinking not as an agent but if I were Madrid? And I thought 30 was a good price? I'd start to think what year are we in? PSG absolutely would want to pay a lot because they know a fundermental truth. They know that when they lost Zlatan, they lost about 50% of what they were trying to be. Buying Ronaldo - even for a big fee would be even bigger for them then buying Zlatan at 30. In terms of Madrid, this would effect Morata and so it's possible they would say - look we want Mbappe but also we want to keep Morata so we are going to have to ask you for....say 80 million. That would probably be the best price we could get. In no reality would we get him for anything less like 30 or even 60 I think

Hopefully he complains to FIFA that Madrid are keeping him like a slave, and keeping his well earned money.

He isn't worth all that much in transfer fees. He hasn't got long left in the game. Gabriel Batistuta is the most expensive player over 30 at the price of £25m when he moved to Roma aged 31. I think Ronaldo could cost up to £30m because he's still world class but it won't be silly money.

Morata is a different case altogether. Real Madrid know he's going to be a class act so it's only right they want a fee that's reflective of his future ability.
£30m

A lot of footballers really are greedy pricks. They already earn grotesque amounts of money and always demand more and more.

I wonder how long this can still go on until the bubble bursts.
You guys and Barca are the absolute worst for wages and making the bubble bigger. The amounts you pay your top players is absolutely obscene, even in football terms.

I just thought this as well, although that rumour that Jose said there would be a surprise was actually baseless. Either way, knock one out.

If you're referring to Ronaldo as the surprise, didnt this tax evasion story just come out two days ago?

If Ronaldo was coming back i'd give Mourinho the boot if needs be. I know i sound ridiculous but the idea of Ronaldo coming back does that to me.

Shite, the BBC reporting it takes this from rumor to legitimately credible. Although I'm hesitant to believe Ronaldo will leave, you could make the argument that this opportunity to sell would make ALOT of sense for Madrid.

1. He just won the CL and is the odds favorite for his fifth ballon d'or. Translation, his value is exponentially high even though he's turning 33 next year. With that said he's slowly declining, we can see it. Eventually even if he does stay, the club and the player would be on an inevitable collision course. He initially wanted to play at Madrid until 41. That's not realistic so the club look to transition into the future with the Bale signing and now Mbappe. What would this mean for long term future of Ronaldo? Selling Ronaldo for over 100m gives them an opportunity to make a profit on his transfer AND transition smoothly to the next generation of young galacticos. A clean break up if you will rather than the inevitable messy divorce.

2. Madrid can use the money from selling Ronaldo and possibly James to buy Mbappe. He can "replace" Ronaldo. Plus they can give money to Milan for Donnamura who I'm sure would love money rather then see him leave on a free. Madrid would sign him this summer rather on a free so they can parade him around along with Mbappe this summer as the next generation.

3. We and PSG are the only viable destinations that he would likely be interested in and can afford the transfer and his wages.
(City can afford but I'm certain Ronaldo won't go there. Bayern are loaded but they're not going to destroy their wage structure for Ronaldo)

3. Ed's dream signing is reportedly Ronaldo and has been transfixed on the idea since he came in the summer of 2013. There is no way with the financial resources we have and more importantly history and comfort that Ronaldo would chose PSG over us. Just two weeks ago he was quoted on the record saying he "misses" us.

4. Ronaldo seems genuinely pissed off by the tax situation. If he's that angry then yes I can see him leaving. Ronaldo is also a brand, his image is VERY important to him. To me this is the key factor in the equation. Ronaldo who has a lot of sponsors wants a clean image. This tax situation doesn't reflect well on him. Keep that in mind.

I'm starting to think this is legit guys.

Says the fan of the club who just paid the world record fee last summer!
