Shocked that people think Herrera had a good game. He gave away possession more than Pogba who was dire.
Rooney had a hand in our goal, but gets slated, while Martial who did nothing, is lauded.
Jose recognise our ineptitude in midfield and sought to bypass it with the faultless Fellaini. If only he had taken Pogba off for Mata instead...
Scousers were awful, but our soft centre gave them a free pass today.
Darmian is a traffic cone!
Hurry up and get back Luke Shaw.

No doubt the media (and a whole load of people on here) will paint this as Klopp getting one over on Mourinho but it's honours even between the two managers/teams in the league this season. Which is acceptable, considering where the two manager are in the evolution of their latest squad/team. That moment of madness from Pogba cost us dear. Until then it was all very comfortable and our goal was coming. Ho hum. We move on. 16 games unbeaten. A point gained on City and the dippers two points further off the top. I'm a bit frustrated by some of our players having a really poor game (well, one in particular!) but the result isn't the end of the world. Thank feck we fought our way back into it. Losing would have sucked balls.
This perfectly sums up my thoughts, well said.

Oh please not this again.

If Ibra would have scored that header at Anfield you'd have another two points.

Get a grip la.

I'm saying it how it is. We didn't deserve to win that game away, we did today.

Two weeks ago Pogba was a hero on here. Okay he let the occasion get the better of him but he's still 23.
That didn't make any sense, it has nothing to do with the occasion, he has a habit of playing himself in trouble unnecessarily. The match before he did it also about 10 times. Of course that's more of a problem in a tight match with a pressing opponent, but the problem was already there and won't go away very soon.

It is nice that its Mignolet putting in world class saves to deny certain goals instead of De Gea for a change. Certainly some karma at play there.

I know you are but....

If De Gea hadnt made those two saves at Anfield and those two today ( bad finishing in my eyes ) we'd have four more points and only be three behind Chelsea.

Y'see mate. It's pointless.

He hasn't had that much time yet to put his stamp on the squad. This is always how Mourinho was, get a draw against the top teams and win against the lower teams.
Conté has much less experience in the PL than Mourinho and his team is cruising for the title. If he is supposed to be such a winner as a coach he better start winning against the teams he is really in competition with.

I accept you're improving. Hell you won 9 on the bounce (was it?). What I'm saying is some players thougth that was enough to make them the best team in the premiership. It isn't/wasn't. You were just beating some fodder (other than Spurs) that wouldn't harrass your midfield. You are improving and yes its Mourinho's first season so it takes time but once some of the fans realise that they are not one of the best sides in the country yet (first season, new players, etc) then it may help.

Today was a MUST WIN game for Utd (not Liverpool). You've been sprinting to catch up after early slip ups in a marathon where the other top four are just jogging along, and occasionally tripping. You simply can't sprint a whole marathon it will catch up with you, specially when Europe restarts. But without winning today you need to keep spriting and, in fact, sprint even harder. #Unsustainable.

Mignolet saved your ass more times today than DDG did ours.

Feels like a point gained, coz we were dire for the most part. Second half was all us mainly, but we just weren't clicking at all today. It's not a disastrous point. I would've hated to have lost 0-1 to them with their terribly average defence and that perfectly-symmetrical-faced idiot in goal, Mignolet.

Next run of fixtures are kind. I reckon Spurs will take City out on the weekend and we'll climb above them.

Chelsea have a way better team than us and I remember Chelsea cruised the title a couple of seasons ago with a certain Mourunho in charge.

If Pogba can just start converting some of those early chances he seems to get every game I think we could see him explode and go on a tear. If he keeps missing it might start draining him mentally.

Do they ?

It is basically the same team as last year just with a different coach.

Conté is just getting the most out of his players. I really don't think Mourinho is getting the most out of his.

We were very average today and some of our big players didn't turn up. That being said, we still created and wasted two fantastic chances plus the Zlatan free kick which forced a good save and still came away with a point. Add in the fact that we gifted them their goal and despite a fair bit going wrong and the performance being underwhelming we didn't lose the game which is the most important thing

Has anybody mentioned Pogba's assault on Henderson yet ?

Or how Rooney got away with his foul on Milner ?

How Lovren got booked when he won the ball ?

Almost done re-watching this, because I wanted to watch it again devoid of my reactionary emotions. I don't think our performance was really that bad. Pogba was poor, but overall I didn't think we were too bad.

Again though we simply aren't clinical in taking our chances and LB is a major issue.

Another problem for me is that in crossing situations I don't think we don't get enough late runs into the box which makes us less threatening when have the ball in wide areas. Also very underwhelmed by our set piece delivery and our runs and numbers when get the ball into the box.

The point is over the season we havent been putting the ball away enough with the chances created, simple as that. We also couldnt play a good enough game between Leicester and Chelsea. We started to not lose since then and were still in for top 2/3 and if we can go on another 5/6 match winning run, we will be there or thereabouts.

The winning run was going to come to an end eventually. It always feels sweeter when you're on the right end of a late goal though so I don't feel as disappointed as against Arsenal or Everton. Even on an off day, we still lose no ground on Liverpool and closed the gap on City. Glad that one's out of the way, onwards and upwards.

What fair result? We should have won by a big margin. But this has been happening through our entire season this year: missing absolute sitters. Not just any chance, sitters. Once our luck turns and these begin to go in, we will be unstoppable.

Of course it's a better team. Kante, Luiz, Hazard, Costa would all easily get into our team, even Matic

What sitters did we miss today? We had some pretty good chances, better than Liverpools IMO, but I wouldn't call either "absolute sitters". Mkhi and Pogba were both under pressure from defenders and both shots were on their weaker foot. Good chances, nothing more.

Pressing makes for a shit game to watch, but we have to deal with that. We seem very susceptible to pressing so need a plan to counter or bypass it.
A lot of other teams have problems with Liverpool's press. But if we are more susceptible, maybe it's because we try to play more. I think the way to counter their press is to play long, to match their intensity so they make the same amount of mistakes we do or to change our shape when playing out from the back.

So what you are saying is that Pogba, Zlatan, Mkhitaryan, Martial and Rashford are bullshit players ? They would all easily get in the Chelsea team, it is just conté would actually be able to use them alot better.

Also if you would have said Luiz would walk into our team last year, the Caf police would have thrown you out for trolling.

There's only one United!
I'm not at all disappointed with today's performance as we were much much better than Liverpool.

The only downsides are our very bad finishing and the disastrous performance by Pogba.

Mourinho is building the team and I think that with 3 more players in key areas we'll be fighting for the league next season.
