He's next level.

Quite clearly, Messi has had a better season.Doesn't even look like it's going to be a contest for who's had the better season. Cristiano only really had the goals in his favour, but now Messi has caught up there is surely no argument.
Yeah, I'm sure even most Germans would agree with that. Still some time to get to that level or even surpass them. Besides Lahm and Schweinsteiger, all the key players are still really young. That being said, if we don't defend the title in 2018, I'd love to see Messi leading Argentina to a World Cup win.Well, they were clearly among the favourites for several consecutive international tournaments (starting with 2010 WC probably), but surely Spain 08-12 and France 98-00 are held in much higher regard by most people? To be fair, their cycle is still ongoing so can't really say how they will be viewed in the future, but at this point in time I don't think it holds true.
Where is @Ronaldo's Mum Eh?
Never slow to get in on these in the first part of the season but posted missing recently
Messi has one of the best physiques in football. His low centre of gravity is absolutely essential to his performance.Even without the final-third oriented approach and a fantastic physique, Messi puts up the numbers.
but the truth is this:

I'd still say Cristiano Ronaldo was more complete. Messi's body-type is really like another extreme end of the spectrum though, that's true.Messi has one of the best physiques in football. His low centre of gravity is absolutely essential to his performance.
CEL 0-1 FCB (FT) - without the 2 goals from Mathieu, the boat would have 4 points less. Without the 32 goals from Messi, Barca would have 4 points lower.
I'm not sure about the accuracy of this, but Sid Lowe retweeted it. I know this is a type of stat the Ronaldo haters would love to beat him with.
A bit of a pointless stat, but there you go.
Disclaimer: I love them both
Doesn't really work without seeing where Madrid would be without Ronaldo's goals.
according to Capello, Messi is the best player in the world, while Ronaldo is the best player in Real Madrid

As good a reason as any...yeah, that's why he holds that opinion

Not even sure how he keeps doing this but Messi has 45 goals and 22 assists for this season, and there is still plenty of games left. That output there is just ridiculous and it isn't even easy doing that on Fifa Career mod let alone real life. Anybody know how many assists Ronaldo is on this season?
Ronaldo has 50 goals and 17 assists so far for this season. So both of them have insane high numbers of end-products.
I think they are pretty much on same level this season, which is far far ahead of anyone else... nothing new here actually, just as usual.
Messi, and to be honest, I don't see much debate in that. The debate is in who is currently better, which is arguably closer but still Messi(and by a good way too) in my opinion. In 100 years, who will be viewed upon as the greatest player?
FixedIn terms of productivity, they're very close. In terms of quality of football (which is something really subjective), Messi is and has always been better.
It made sense discussing this only when Messi was unfit. I can't understand how anyone who watched both of them them this season have any doubts who is better this season.
Except for the fact that Ronaldo has scored more goals and been more effective again this season.
