I hope Roma tell the feckers where to go. That's a shit offer and they'd be stupid to accept.

Bayern will learn it the hard way that they low ball them. Add another 10m€ and they can start talking. 25m€ fecking hell.
I very much doubt Roma will do business at that price unless he has a major injury, I reckon he will sign a new deal

Fair play to them for recognizing their problems and addressing them swiftly, that what "big clubs" should do.

Useless Ed.

We used to do that pre Glazer.

Im remember in 1998 we had the Stam deal done by the start of May after we lost the league to Arsenal.

Oh god, everyone using anything to take a dig at us. We get it, we're shit in the transfer market. The point doesn't need to be repeated 10 times, it's tedious as feck to read.

Didn't Bayern just say that this isn't the case and the story in BILD was a mistake. Even if it's true I can guarantee Banatia isn't going for €25mil.

Then Offer them 35m, why do we have to do Ed's job for him?

it's not even the price, that could be negotiated. It's about taking the initiative and addressing our weaknesses. Which is something sadly the club isn't good at.

I don't even know who to blame any more if I'm honest.

I think LVG as Mitten had stated will only buy players desperate to come, not interested in a cock-fight with Bayern. Hummel's would come next year and hopefully we have another target in mind

Good luck getting Hummels and the like when we are in the Europa league next year. Top 4 is not a guarantee anymore.

Hummel's won't come next year if we have no cl

Cool! I like it, adjusting for player value increases, we're still not spending enough money.

I hate that Sky stat because they take 5 windows, £120m of which was spent in the last 3 windows and includes 27.5m wasted on Fellaini. the other £45m? I'm trying to figure out who it would include.....????? Zaha for £15m? The other £30m? Powell maybe? I'm not sure.....

Our midfielders didn't get any assists last year so its not that impressive from fabregas tbf.
Are we going to be seeing a tweet for every midfielder that gets an assist this season then?

Mata obviously.

I give up on the thread and this forum section. From now on, I'll just look the "Manchester United Forum" for the "Arturo Vidal / Di Maria / Rojo / Hummels - Confirmed" thread

Include Zaha. Since Fergie left we spent £135m of that.

Arsenal have spent around 100mil
City-150mil
Liverpool-140mil
Chelsea-190mil
Spurs-110mil

Its not really that much. Yes you can go on about nett spending but do that for the years 2009-2014 and we are behind our rivals. The point being maybe if we used the Ronaldo money on players we mightnt be in such a mess.

Our net spend since 2009 is only 30mil per year.

Also consider that we've had, what, 6 players on 1 year rolling deals leave/retire in the last 3 years?

Woodward's pissed off one too many journalists and fans - they've gone on the warpath against him today in the press. And now it looks like we may actually complete a signing tomorrojo. So all in all, one of the better days this window

If you're the sort of player we need (the type that will also get offers from other top clubs like Real, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea etc.) then why would you be that desperate to join Manchester United? I mean some of those clubs are just as big as us, some have just as much history, some can pay a lot more, nearly all can offer a far more attractive location than Manchester and all can offer CL football.

So, with all those options available to you, why would you be desperate to join Manchester United in our current situation unless you were a lifelong fan or something? It's an insane expectation to have from any potential signing of that calibre.

He was once desperate for us before Roma, but it's currently not looking good

Them two and a CENTRE midfielder and we are okay to start a good challenge again.

Nope, that is included in the last 3 transfer windows, part of the £120m. Leaving £45m according to the Sky picture. Must include £15m on Zaha, leaving £30m that was spent on who? This summer (Shaw + Herrera = 56m), January window (Mata = 37m), Last summer (Fellaini 27m). £120m total + £15m on Zaha (previous January window, or last summer whichever way you look at it)= £135.

That leaves £30m I have no idea where we spent, and since it is net spend, there be more money we've spent in that period (doubt it though).

Going to have to have look it up I think.
