It's not ridiculous. Why would I want him to go and have a great career somewhere else? He's been a complete waste of time and money.
What the feck? That is ridiculous. He was poor here so feck him? Hope he has a shite career elsewhere? Terrible fecking attitude there, mate.

YESHHHHH, We'll GOOO for it.
He was good for us in our double season, scored in the Champions league penalty and outplayed Fabregas and Gerrard. Always smiles and was ready to sit on the bench as a squad player. By all accounts, SAF likes him. By all means make fun of his weight, but for those thinking good riddance, feck off. I like Rooney and I'll wish him the best, so I'm going to wish much better for Anderson. Go on lad, we wish you the best.

They're hardly going to fork over the 6.5 mill to sign him in the summer if he's only good enough to sit on the bench all the time.

We've got some fecking stupid ones as well. Liking a player because he smiles a lot and had some good games 5 years ago? Get a grip.
You're the one who needs to get a grip here. Wanting Anderson to fail is absolutely baffling behavior befitting of a moron.

I'll always remember him for that smashing penalty against Chelsea. Making up for Ronaldo's miss by smashing it in twice. Brilliant.

Have your opinion on him as a player, that's fine. People are not allowed to like a player that you don't?

The issue is you not wanting a player to go and do well for himself. A player that has never had a bad word to say about the club, never complained and contributed to some big moments in our clubs history.

Wanting him to fail is pretty stupid and says a lot about you, if in fact you do actually want him to fail.

I can't wrap my head around Goooose's view here. Ah well, different strokes for different folks. Wanting Anderson to sit on his arse is baffling though.

Me neither, especially if it's only a loan deal. Better he plays the more we'll be likely to get.

Best of luck to him. In my mind at least he is a much better talent than Cleverley and can see and has executed passes that Tom never can. I'm sure the injuries didn't help him and the position change can't have been good either but I reckon if he can get fit and play in a 3 man midfeld, where he has not to worry about defense, he will end up being a good player for a decent team. If he performs to his best we will end up hearing of him as a really good player who never made it at United (ala Forlan).

Seeing as this will be Moyes first sale... If we approach this as Moyes replaced Anderson with Fellaini, the big hairy feck doesn't look as bad a signing I suppose. Certainly an upgrade.
No it isn't. Fellaini is a complete waste of space, who will worsen the way we play. I would rather have kept Anderson than pay 27 million for the hair

Why not give Fellaini the same amount of time and chances that Anderson got, before passing a harsh judgement like that?

Did that honestly ever happen ? It always seemed like a huge exaggeration of some of his good performances vs them.

Exactly. I'm not Fellaini's biggest fan but he's played next to no games. Certainly not enough to be passing judgement on him like that.

While I agree that Fellaini need more time, I believe that no one deserves the ridiculous amount of time Ando got.

However we're doing the same mistake with Fellaini as we did with Ando ie move a player who is more effective behind the striker in a deeper role. To be fair it worked with Scholes. There again, as Paddy likes to say, no one is like Paul Scholes.

I don't know why people think this is the end.

Having seen the lack of consistency he's had with us for years, why do we think he'll go there, have a storming injury free 4months and then they'll buy him?
Most likely is a few good games, injury, and then the usual cycle of trying to get back and fit again.

A return In the summer is most likely.

I must admit, I have serious doubts that Fiorentina will exercise the option to buy, and he will most likely end up back at OT this summer.

I believe so too. Fiorentina have a very talented midfield already, and Anderson is not going to displace Borja or Aquilani. If anything, they need some more steel.

He will be competing with Ilicic, Vargas, Ambrosini, Pizarro and Matias Fernandez for the last midfield spot. This is nothing more than a temporary depth signing to cover for injuries, unless he does really well.

You realise that Fellaini has played most of the games in his career where we've played him?

Sort of. He was playing in central midfield and they were quiet. He had a few one on one challenges with Fabregas, including being quicker to head the ball forward and that led to one of our goals if I recall. Its just putting 2 and 2 together and thinking Anderson is 4. He was playing, they were quiet and not too effective. Must be Anderson, they cant have had an off day

Watch him do really well in Italy
Not sure about this. Serie A is the most tactical league and midfielders are supposed to be reliable in their positioning. Anderson is not. Either he'll learn to be a disciplined player positionally in Serie A and become a much better player for it, or the manager will pick other players instead of him because they can be relied on to be in the right place.
