Anderson | 2013/14 Performances (on loan at Fiorentina)

Should have been sold about 3 years ago. Surely no other player has ever had as many chances as Ando has at United, while continually underwhelming? He's been here 6 years now. SIX. Seems like a nice lad and all that, but we're a football club, and that's what he should be judged on. And, first season aside and the odd 1 in about 20 performance since then, he's just not been good enough. His fitness is ridiculous too, injuries and stamina.

He'll leave some great memories from his first season (honestly thought he was going to be amazing) and his penalty in Moscow, but ultimately its time to go. Good luck Ando.

Don't dislike the player or anything but he hasn't progressed anywhere near like we hoped he would, that and the injuries makes sense to get him off the books.
Hope he does well for Fiorentina

Sad to see him go. Genuinely thought we had a world class player in the making after his first season. But injuries and laziness stopped him from getting there. Good luck to him and hope he does well there.

He was a likeable character. I hope he does well there.

Good luck Ando!

If ever Fred packs in we should implement 'The Anderson'. Costumes will sell in spades.

Sadly his departure won't be that noticeable, but I liked him. Best of luck to him.

Despite him not getting any game-time, I'm not too impressed with our central-midfield options being made even weaker with having one less body to call on. Without ranting about transfers, I'm not sure decreasing the squad size (insert 'Ando is fat' joke here) in our current position is wise given our weakness in the market.

I'm disappointed he never quite made it here, he had a lot of promise and he was easily our best central midfielder at driving forward with the ball. Unfortunately his injuries hindered his progress, which you could argue were caused by poor conditioning on his part, perhaps a less high-intensity league like Serie A is more for him. Good luck, Ando.

Italy will probably suit him, I reckon. Plenty of time and space on the ball, his explosiveness could be quite effective over there, like Kaká.

He does need plenty of space, doesn't he? I doubt he could last the non-stop flight to Florence though.

We are in a pretty desperate state and you can only be sceptic all about our muscle in the transfer market vein able to change this round. We really need to get rid of at least 10 players and get a handful of outstanding replacements. In the last 10 years we have bought two players of this level, DDG and RVP.

Erm. Not sure he'll make it at Fiorentina if he goes. But good luck to him

Yeah I have to agree with that. Not sure why so many are confident that he will make it there. Anyway, his fitness / injury issues won't go away overnight and he is wildly inconsistent when he is fit and playing. Good luck to him, but still think he is punching above his weight (insert fat joke).

Likeable guy and was my favourite United player when he first arrived, thought he was going to be a superstar.

One of SAF's biggest flops as it turned out. Injuries seriously hindered his development and I guess he didn't have the mentality to overcome that.

None of them were top class when we signed them in fairness. I don't think the Caf' could've told you much about Nemanja and Patrice when they were signed. Verón, Berbatov and Hargreaves are three established signings that come to mind, and none worked out. :(

Still, getting 6.5m for him is pretty good seeing as he's basically non-existent for us now.

Well if you're talking about signing top class players you can add Kagawa to the list.

It hasn't (yet) turned out that way, but we were signing one of the best AMs in European football.

Footballers who clearly haven't tried hard enough to take their chance I usually really dislike.

But I could never bring myself to dislike Anderson, had serious and real potential and every year until recently I fell for his latest comeback.

The CAF did actually. I remember threads on both that left my feeling delighted we bought them. Vidic in particular had a thread with lots of activity as he was part of a Serbian defence that didnt concede in qualifying (i maybe be wrong on that!).

Thank feck he's finally off. Should have left around three years ago, only hanging about because we are too lenient or persistent with players. Reasonably happy with the price, around what I expected, if not more.

Ah well, all the best to him at Fiorentina. It's the right move for both parties in the end.

I think that Raul scored against them, but that was the only goal Serbia conceded for WC2006.

Phil Jones was getting games over him in CM and even a 40 year old Giggs. He just isn't a player that we could call on rather he was injured or not.

And the clearing out of the deadwood begins.Wish him all the best and hope he can resurrect his career.

Hopefully we can flog off Buttner and Young this window - although for the latter, it will be extremely difficult - then as long as we sign Coentrao we have basically got rid of two more deadwood who contribute next to nothing.

I'm not even bothered if we didn't replace Young if we sold him, I'd rather see us give Lingard or Zaha more of a chance.

Fiorentina are getting a cracking player.... Only kidding good riddance! Let the clear out begin... This got to mean we are signing somebody..
