You really think Zlatan will continue at anything like that rate? You can't compare Martial and Zlatan, they're at opposite ends of their careers.
Yeh but he's 50 in October so don't calling him a player "in his forties".Excuse me, he's 49.
Yeeeeeeeeees!!
Cross knows his stuff, right?
Weren't Sky the first in on LvG's sacking and Mourinho's appointment?
Could be they have an in with Mourinho.
Can't the focus be more on why Nuts feels that way, instead of hording him with everyone saying what a stupid opinion it is? It'd be better discourse than just shutting every opinion that's not the most popular one down.

Personally I think he's the most Cantona like player since Cantona.
He's a force of personality and a completely audacious footballer. Arrogant and crazy but also a great leader.
It's hard to predict how he will do in terms of numbers, but I wouldn't be in any doubt he will be a massive positive impact on the club.
Can't wait to see him in the shirt.
If he's a success I can honestly see him having a Cantona impact. Not only on the pitch but after he leaves, he may just inspire our squad to the point they are gagging for more silverware.
Right, cheers. No that story was very much a BBC story, the most they have put their neck on the line in years, in particular Simon Stone was the one to listen to. Sport Witness who are great say Andy Burton of Sky appears to have great connections with Mourinho so he could be one to watch now, Mourinho definitely leaks as you always seem to have an idea of what he is thinking through the press.
I agree with you. I know a young player from your academy: he is 14 years old and deserves his chance.
And that will stop the minute he pitches up in PL. Not a chance. French league is mickey mouse.
Absolutely. No one else has given me that Cantona vibe like he has, it's really quite uncanny. I hope he stays injury-free because I think if he does then we'll be in for a good season.Personally I think he's the most Cantona like player since Cantona.

Stupid was poorly worded by me. Sorry, I guess I should have read it a little bit closer and I overreacted instead. No one said that it was stupid and he explained why he feels that way.
What was Zlatan's original plan is running his contract down at PSG?
If he's coming here for Mourinho, did he know about the situation between Man Utd and Mourinho prior to the world, in general? If so, was VG going to be sacked irrespective of him achieving Champ. League position?
I'm assuming someone who follows PSG might have some insight into the matter
Very happy if he do sign for us even for a year. Hope he make same impact as Henrik Larsson
Unlikely.
Pretty sure his whole reason for running his contract down was just for a new challenge. He wouldn't have insider knowledge on Mourinho, or our intention to let go of LVG, that's just how things happened.
Yes it does, just look at our goal tally last season, we're clearly lacking a top class goal scorer. Also it's not as if Mourinho isn't going to address other areas because of this signing, which was free.
Baffling thing to say. Our current starting striker is 18 years old. Good as he may be, he can't lead the line for 50 odd matches.
Our current forwards:
Career goals for all three, so Martial has the two games against Arsenal for Monaco added and Rooney has his games against the respective sides for Everton.
A good CF would adress the single biggest problem we have as goal scoring wasn't exactly one of our strong points last year.
And how does it make us more one dimensional when he would bring us something completely unique? He's a monster physically and has better feet than any of our other attacking players. If things get desperate he's a great hoofing target as well + he can come down deep as a nr.10 and set up attacks.
Martial, Rooney, Rashford are more than good enough to rotate through a season without Champions League football.
The problem was lack of chances created, not goals, which I thought was plainly obvious I was referring to in my post. We had (with the exception of Martial) stationary widemen who were often unable to beat a man. Slow and un-creative passers, which allowed teams to form an organized defense. And no effective protection of the back four, which forced us to use two holding midfielders, hence how little our midfield contributed to goals.
Zlatan doesn't solve any of those problems. He's just an upgrade on our current striker. The problems still remain.
Zlatan is a playmaker around the box. He is nothing like Costa, Benteke, or Andy Carroll. We don't have many of those around. Rooney has been extremely poor recently, and we can't rely on Martial doing everything. He solves a lot of our issues around the box, but I agree we desperetely need a quality RM. However, a free transfer does not hinder that in any way.Scoring wasn't the problem. Creating chances and getting into shooting positions was the problem. There were numerous games last season where we had below 5 shots on target. Unless Zlatan has a 100% conversion rate, he doesn't solve that problem.
Our "single biggest problem" was poor widemen. Which both LVG and majority of fans recognized.
Costa is a monster physically and a good hoofing target. So is Benteke. So is Andy Carroll. Your argument doesn't hold any weight. He'd make us one dimensional because our main line of attack would still be through Zlatan, it doesn't matter if we are hoofing, playing to feet or if he's playing deep. It's still the same line of attack, just not in your traditional sense.
So I hold by argument, he's a good signing and as long as he performs to his capabilities, will be a clear upgrade on our forward line. But no, he doesn't solve our main problems.
No one player can solve all of our problems, and even with Zlatan we need a creative and pacey right winger, maybe they expect Rashford to play there? He was great when he drifted right this season...Scoring wasn't the problem. Creating chances and getting into shooting positions was the problem. Totally agree. Very few in this thread are looking at what our actual problem is. I'm not saying he's past it or rubbish, he's just not the type of striker we need. I agree with those who say the Falcao comparison is wrong. It'll be more like RvN in his last season with us.
Sorry! Come to think of it, I might have made a similar post about Shaw a year ago..Stop trying to give him the evil eye man
We can buy creative players as well this summer and Ibra actually creates a lot himself, he's great at bringing others into play.
