Yves Bissouma / Signs for Spurs

He's going to have to move soon or his career is gonna stagnate at Brighton. He's going to turn 26 in August and if he's available for a reasonable fee and the sexual allegations against him and aren't proven, then he'd be a upgrade on what we have.

But if not, then there's a number of younger players in France/Germany who will reach a similar level that we can possibly be target.

Would have loved him here prior to the allegations but the last thing we need is another scumbag in our ranks, regardless of how good he is.

No idea to be honest. Don't really any club should be going anywhere near him while the sexual assault case is still pending.

Villa are rumoured to be in for him.

Just to update on the sexual assault, he is no longer on police bail, he is free to come and go as he pleases and leave the country without permission as he did for the African Cup of Nations.

He's been released under investigation. That basically means you've been released from custody without charge with no obligation to return on bail for the offence; but the investigation is ongoing and you will be notified of the outcome. So he is not in the clear, but this does not look like a Mendy style incident for example.

It's also worth noting that the 40 year old man arrested at the same time is still on police bail.

It can also mean they don’t have enough evidence hence he remains under investigation. I don’t think anyone in their right mind should touch him until it’s cleared his innocence.

Villa have bought Kamara now. I doubt they wanted both as they have McGinn and Ramsey, both good players

No argument with any of this, I just wanted to be clear where we are with Bissouma as "under investigation for sexual assault" is a broad spectrum. I hated having him play for us while he was on bail, but have less of an issue if the further the case goes the less evidence there is rather than the other way around.

As for Villa, I agree that Kamara should see the end of this interest, but local press in Birmingham is reporting that Villa are interested despite Kamara. But to be fair Spurs, West Ham, Newcastle, Chelsea have all been linked as well so I take it all with a pinch of salt.

Looking at it from another perspective: Anyone who gambles on him being actually innocent and conducts a transfer right now would get a cheaper price, because all other buyers are staying clear. With some luck, it would become a masterstroke in the long run.

Not the type of "gamble" I know United fans want to see, but still an interesting gamble nonetheless.

But it is exactly that, a gamble. And not a transfer gamble as in will he live up to his price tag. More of it goes wrong you have a player in trouble for a sexual allegation, your sponsors tell you to get rid or else, fans including your own g mad and you can’t insure for that type of thing. So in effect you’ve wasted millions.
If he gets cleared; you’ve maybe got him for 10m less.
not a gamble I’d want to take if it was my money

He has a court appearance in early June doesn't he? So I suppose we'll know more about this case very soon.

Think there are a lot of teams looking hard at Bissouma - if it wasn’t for his current police investigation scenario then I think he would have been snapped up already. There is no way in light of Mason can we be seen going in for him.

If the police scenario drags on then he will probably depart overseas…..

ridiculously cheap for a player of his ability.

Spurs are going to be strong next year that's for sure.

We really should have be in the race for this guy. Conte is building a crazy team though. Bissouma in the middle is perfect for his football and would have been perfect beside De Jong too.

He's going to a big club that plays in the CL, what a surprise.

That price is ridiculously cheap. I know there's the off field stuff, but I didn't think if he was to move it would be for that low a price. Brilliant business from a footballing perspective in a position we're desperate.

Whats this about?

It's cheap because he could walk out on free next year, Tielemans will go for a similar amount.

It's about now that any hijacking gets done.
I hope United do hijack it, he is simply a very good footballer and the kind we need in our midfield. A far better version of Fred and McTominay.
