Yves Bissouma / Signs for Spurs

He’d be my dream signing.
For Everton? I’m surprised it’s been so quiet on links to him, would have expected links to multiple clubs tbh.

I want this guy more than Saul that’s for sure.

He definitely seems the type ready to make that next step and go onto another level when surrounded by better players as well. Always impresses me whenever I watch Brighton.

He says Pool, the Arse, and United are sniffing around. It came up with a conversation regarding United’s midfield.

I think he could be right and with his contract running out in 2023, I can see a number of clubs monitoring his situation with a view to signing him in January or in the summer window 2022.

At this time next year I can't see Brighton getting more than £25m for him if he's in the final year of his contract.

Surely a £40m bid in the last week would spark some movement, especially if the player would be keen to move?

Camavinga is a very similar type of player. Is younger, would be cheaper and even better

The difference is Bossumo has premiership experience and is ready to sign for a top club. Camavinga is 18 years old, playing in a weaker league. He has indicated that his preference is either Madrid or PSG.

I'm really not sure that United have even looked at Bissouma, and there doesn't seem to be any momentum around this deal.
Of course the questions would then have to be, why haven't United bothered to look, or why was Bissouma rejected?

There's no momentum for any deal right now when it comes to us. As thing stand, window seems to be petering away.

He'd be a class signing. I feel this will be his last season at Brighton. He's been developing nicely but after selling White, I think they will resist the offers to sell him this summer especially this late in the window.

If he carries on this trajectory, there will be a few clubs in for him next summer.

United could have been really proactive, by offering Garner on a free loan and taking Bissouma, but even now, I'm certain there would be other players that could be offered up on a free loan.

Nice thought but we would never be interested in Garner, we bought Caicedo partly as succession planning for Bissouma leaving, we thought he was possibly going to Arsenal, but now we're in the final week of the window he wont be going anywhere.

Is this guy really good enough for Man Utd? To come in and not only look a good player but actually to kick our midfield on a level or two?

I think the difficulty of doing that, the options we have and the level you have to be is massively underrated. The guy has played for Brighton, a relegation candidate. I'm aware they've played some decent football but what is deemed an eye catching performance for Brighton is quite significantly different from playing for us. We draw a game of football and the passing range, control, ability against the press is analysed to the Nth degree. Brighton can lose games and earn plaudits!

You'd have to get Brighton to ask Nottingham Forrest if they want Garner. Garner is already on loan this season.

Wakey, wakey...!!
Read my comment again, and properly...

I doubt Garner is good enough to start for Brighton

but certainly hasn't shown enough to be a factor is getting Brighton to sell

By including Garner it implies that he may have thought that Garner was still here, nothing to do with reading the comment 'properly'

Well not really considering he said after "but even now, there could be other players we could offer up" which implies he definitely didn't think Garner was still here

No it doesn't, and I didn't...

I think the most important thing to look for is his ability on the ball. At Utd, your not going to be scrambling around midfield breaking up play as much, this is where Schneiderlin fell down, he looked good at Southampton breaking up play and moving the ball on. At Utd when he had the ball and had to use it, he was fecked. Fred is good at running around but is shit on the ball, so is McT.

With Bissouma, he's very powerful and good at the defending side.

From what I've seen he is good on the ball, his ball control is tidy, he has a good passing range, is decent at playing through the lines and making bursting runs through hhe middle. Hiss ability to get out under pressure and in tight spaces is also very good.

Whether he is good enough or not there really is only one way to find out.

I disagree on Schneiderlin and the stile of play....he was never more than average at Southampton. No surprise to me at all that he hasnt gone on to do anything much since leaving us, to a lesser degree I see VDB similar, dont see him playing for elite clubs he has been linek dwith before comign here in the future. I agree on Bissouma, the last 15/18 months for me both him and Saint-Maxim have stood out as players that can go on to much bigger things, far more than the like of Traore and Neto for example at Wolves. Rice is the other one that should really be at a bigger club.

Thouh I think there are better and younger players with more promise on the continent.....baffles me as of yet nobody has made moves for them (maybe excluding Rice with supposed prices) as I think all three improve without a doubt the majority of sides in the premiership and most of the big sides would benefit with one of them for what they need

Hearing Liverpool are in for him? Another talent we are about to miss when we need him even more?

Liverpool getting him for 40m

What is wrong with us?

Surely the people in charge realise we need a DM? I mean, surely... right?

every report coming out says this link to Pool is bollocks....they won't spend that kind of money on him when they have a pretty solid CM grouping already

we can forget about adding this guy especially if the ronaldo thing takes place. best we can hope for now is Saul on loan.

Getting Saul gets us nowhere still. With Ronaldo coming in, Pogba has to go back into midfield, not left winger.

Rashford, Ronaldo, Sancho, Greenwood, Cavani, James and Martial will be competing for the front 3.

Hopefully Pogba raises his games and becomes more consistent in midfield, and we get someone like Bissouma, Neves or Tchouameni to sit back.

Saul is another no. 8, which we have plenty of.

How so?

Brighton will (rightly) play hard ball over Bissouma because he's absolutely their best player.

I think he'd be ideal for United. He's tough, fit, aggressive, skilful in tight spots, has a good passing range and a rocket shot on him. He's way better than Schneiderlin was. He never looks fazed.

Coming up 25 with three seasons prem experience. I think he'd improve us.

The Ronaldo thing happened incredibly discretely though so you never know. We've really got our act together in this window.

Weren' t Brighton one of the clubs after Dan James?

Their Captain is their best player, absolutely 100%. No idea where you get it's Bissouma from? Next you'll be saying it's Lamptey when he gets hyped again.

Can't see Brighton letting go of such an important player this close to the deadline

He isn't a proper DM either is he? More of a B2B in the McT mould just a bit more polished
