Moukoko should be close to the top of our list for January. If his agent is already making the noises he is about leaving for free in the summer, you would think there's scope to get this done now. Similar situation to when we signed Louis Saha.
The opportunities for regular game time should be there for him already, and he looks a proper striker unlike Gakpo.

Signing him will make me forget about Greenwood.
Out of the big clubs or clubs interested, he has the best opportunity to start here. Newcastle just signed Isak, Liverpool Nunez and Chelsea Nkunku. So he would be able to start alongside Rashford and Antony immediately and with Martials injury record the no9 spot is his.
If it’s between the two of us, I’m sure he’ll be a United player. Nothing better they can offer him. Unless Champions League this season. That’s it. We have a better squad and are more likely to get into the Top 4 for next season. If he talks to Potter and ten Hag, you know ten Hag will easily win him over.Chelsea still want an out and out number #9. They tried for Endrick and will probably turn their attention to him.
Some players and agents are short sighted, and they can only see the money 5" away from their eyes.He would make a really big mistake if he tries to move to a bigger club, or any other club other than Dortmund. The support he gets at Dortmund he wouldn't get at any other club and plus there will be added pressure at the new club, given his reputation. I don't think he's at the level to move to a bigger club and Dortmund will allow him to grow more slowly and fulfill his talent.
I think you've forgotten Mbappe from that list, unless 23 turning 24 is not considered young anymore. Another one to add to the list, although probably more a number 10 than a number 9, is Musiala at Bayern. Although Germany crashed out early, Musiala and Moukoko are going to be a great combination in the future. A bit like Messi and Henry in one team.Cant remember a more hyped player at a young age since Adu....Eto callign him new Messi for example, so in a way he has been dissapointin gso far for DOrtmund.
Then you have to remember he is just 18. Its weird he looked big and strong in youth clips that were going round and now he looks tiny in the mans game.
I am not sure what to make of him at the moment as of course couldnt live up to the hype and for 18 he is doing really well...but is he a world beater.
It does seem we are crying out in the game for genuine potential superstar young strikers. There is obviously one in Haaland and should hav ebeen one in Greenwood, but beyong that Moukoko, Alvarez, Cesko, Ramos, Adeyemi....not seen much of most of them tbh, but are they genuine world class strikers in the making?

It is stupid to leave Dortmund to sit on the bench at a top club. It is better for his development to stay there. It is super arrogant, actually dellusional, from a 18 year old to say he doesn't want to be on a bench at a top club. But if he really said something that stupid, well then he is staying at Dortmund.
Yep. I'd expect that he is posturing to get a nice pay rise from Dortmund and a reasonable release clause thrown in there too. Starting games regularly for a strong Bundesliga side is pretty much perfect for his development and he (or at least his advisors) would be idiotic to throw that away for the lure of the bright lights elsewhere at this point. It is stupid to leave Dortmund to sit on the bench at a top club. I think it is actually very intelligent to realise that at aged 18 he shouldn't be going to a club where he won't be playing regular football. He should get a decent wage at a place like Dortmund, and he knows he will be first choice striker. He is only going to leave and go to a "bigger club" if he knows that their intention is to play him regularly as their first choice number 9. That may be possible at United, if ETH decides to give up on Martial, but he's not going somewhere where he knows that he will be behind a Haaland, Kane, Osimhen, etc. He would probably also be suspicious about going to Liverpool, as they have spent big on Nunez, and Chelsea are in a bit of a state of flux at then moment. Even going to sit behind Benzema or Lewandowski for a season is a big risk, as he wouldn't play much for a year, and there is always the chance that those clubs will go back into the transfer market for a big name striker. That sort of move could be career suicide. He at least wants the chance to prove himself for a season as first choice number 9, or he will stay at Dortmund. It is super arrogant, actually dellusional, from a 18 year old to say he doesn't want to be on a bench at a top club. Agree with that 100% which is probably why this is a made up newsIt is stupid to leave Dortmund to sit on the bench at a top club. It is better for his development to stay there.
Right, so this is no news because the best team he can be starting at is Dortmund and any club better would never buy him to be a starter...I think it is actually very intelligent to realise that at aged 18 he shouldn't be going to a club where he won't be playing regular football. Same height as Ivan Toney, who seems to be totally fine in EPL. Sergio Agüero was even shorter than them and is one of the all-time top scorer strikers of EPL. A little older example - Andy Cole was the same height as Youssoufa Moukoko. Can keep going on...I don't think he's big and tall enough to be a striker in the PL especially for us(if he even an option)
You realize he is only 18, do you?I don't think he's big and tall enough to be a striker in the PL especially for us(if he even an option)
Lots of controversy about his heritage, parents and age.
Age, parents, some certificatesWhat are those controversies?
No need to amplify the racist conspiracy theories.Lots of controversy about his heritage, parents and age.
Him not having a good relationship with his parents is hardly “lots of controversy”. There hasn’t been any substantial issues by anyone reliable about his age, either. Seems like a strange postAge, parents, some certificates

It's a bit more than conspiracy theories at this point, from his German Wikipedia page:
Der Spiegel revealed in November 2022 that Joseph Moukoko traveled to Cameroon as a talent scout and adopted Youssoufa there to make it easier to bring him to Germany. Youssoufa's aunt reported that his parents and relatives were very happy about this, "because we knew he (Youssoufa) would take care of all of us." In September 2022, a copy of a birth certificate issued in Yaoundé on July 17, 2000 in the name of Youssoufa Mohamadou was sent to the current Bunte journalist Martin Heidemanns via WhatsApp by Joseph Moukoko. Subsequently, on November 15, 2022, Youssoufa Moukoko had the publication and dissemination of this document prohibited by the Frankfurt Regional Court.

It's a weird situation, on one hand he seems to be demanding a large salary, on the other hand the above has been reported in the middle of their negotiations and being 18 or 22 would have significant effect on his value.
