Who knows what's real and what's made up. Easiest target ever, United.

Ermmm. He’s competing against Spain’s number 4 keeper. I’m sure he’ll be okay for the World Cup.
I don't know for sure but I don't think he is even 4th choice for Spain.
We can’t be benching a goalkeeper on 375k a week, let’s be honest. Little wonder he had doubts coming here
Next year, mate.True true… how long left On his deal?? 4 years?
How is he like in the winter?

Manlet UnitedMore short jokes to come. Cool.

Runs out at the end of this year. There is a 1 year Club option.
We’ve gone from a limited budget to wanting to buy absolutely everyone.
Sommer is decent. Too good for number 2, not good enough to be number 1 long term, but I’d take him as stopgap if he won’t cost too much.
Yeah, but is he fast?We don't really talk about the height of players enough on this forum at the moment so that should bring a nice new topic of debate...

Exactly. By all means brief the press that he's coming in as competition if that's the PR spin you want to give it but make sure the player is under no illusions. He is and will be number 1.If we want to sign him, tell him he will be Nr. 1. He will not come as Nr. 2.
Why the feck should he play Nr. 2 for DeGea.
Once again a bit idiotic from our Club.
When has there last been a good keeper with long(ish) hair since Buffon?
Keylor Navas is world class but he is also 35 already. so not a long term solution, but Sommer is not young either. Why aren't we after Keylor Navas? He's lost his number 1 spot to Donnarumma. He's comfortably better than DdG, is gettable (rumours suggest he wants to leave PSG). Only 32 years old so will have a good few years to give still.
Edit: And he's available for less than £10m!
Sounds like a Kangaroo .I've heard a lot about his inconsistency in daytime and evening games.
Apparently in early kick offs he has a tendency to be drifiting away, whilst at nights he gets quite combative.
Oh well oh well oh well
Tell me more?
He could do a job for 2 years. Enough time to get rid of DdG and bring someone else in.Keylor Navas is world class but he is also 35 already. so not a long term solution, but Sommer is not young either.
This should really be the last season for Dave. If we're moving on, then Dave can't be around for the next 2 years. Won't work.He could do a job for 2 years. Enough time to get rid of DdG and bring someone else in.
Has a good source confirmed our interest? Can't even be bothered about the height as it doesn't seem to have helped Dave. Though when you see DDG live, he looks so slight.Bit worried about how a 1.83m keeper would do in the prem, but still maintain that he's very good
For a goalkeeper that's fine. Van der Sar was 35 when we signed him, and he ended up being one of our best signings ever.Keylor Navas is world class but he is also 35 already. so not a long term solution, but Sommer is not young either.
