Television X Factor 2010

I love how loads of posts in this thread start with the same 7 words. "I don't usually watch this show but....."

 True, but in my case it is mainly true. I sometimes watch the crap people when the Mrs is watching as it can be funny, but when the main competitive stuff starts I end up escaping to the bedroom to play Ps3 or something.

I first gave up the show, when I think it was the final between some binman and Shane Ward. Everytime the binman performed louis walsh would criticise it heavily to sway votes even though it was outstading. Then when Shane Ward would perform his effort there will be nothing but praise and it didn't take long to get what exactly was going on.

So I skipped it last year, because it's one big farce and when I heard about Jedward I was happy I was vindicated because once again it's not about talent.

Since everybody started talking about it, I'd thought I'd give it one more go and once again I'm left fuming. Never again:mad:

It's all one big facade

And I can sympaphise with the hilariously bitter woman.

It's supposed to be a competition. If United were drawn against Macclesfield in the FA cup, and didn't bother to turn up, they wouldn't just be put through as winners anyway on the grounds of obviously being the better team.

That completely defeats the entire point of anyone bothering to participate.

What a joke of a show.

I'm allowed watch matches during prime time TV and then my wife watches X-Factor and the Apprentice. I find myself shouting at these shows as much as I do at the matches.:nervous:. I drew the line a the .. next top model shows.
We both like Masterchef though.

I can put up with/enjoy most of what my missus watches. With this, once it gets to the actual competition stage I just have to occupy myself elsewhere. Otherwise I end up winding us both up.

What you moaning about white people at the mobos for then? If that's not how you meant it then sorry, but it read that way to me.

That's not good enough dum dum. Keep your silly misinformed hissy fits away from me becuase to take your last rant away from what i posted means you are clearly deranged or just looking for a stupid argument. Go back and read it and take into account the point that people are describing Cher as unique.

I'll say this now then...before I inevitably change my mind like I did with Danyl but...I love Matt.

Would place him and Rebecca as the favourites right now imo.

Just hope the song choices for them are right.

I still dont see what the hell her being described as unique has to do with moaning about how white people get nominated at mobos, which just sounds like bigotted whiging, but whatever, if you're saying I took it wrong I've already accepted that. As for saying that's not good enough then fine, I'll not lose any sleep over it.

You're an idiot who loves to jump on this shouting 'BiGOT' or 'RACIST' shit before you've even taken the time to digest what someone is saying. I take it if someone mentions black or white you're calling them bigotted. What a fecking clown you are.

You are so far off the mark it is not funny. The MOBO's is a joke, effectively the Smash Hits awards, when it started out to award farly off the mainstream jazz bands and proper RnB bands etc but that is an argument for a different day.

What I was saying is that the awards have so many white acts recognised every year (for what is so far removed from RnB) it makes a 16 year old white girl attempting to rap very far from unique.

Clown.

You couldn't be further from the truth with that. And this is like the third post where you're trying to continue an argument when I've already accepted I misinterpreted your initial post so I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to gain.

Unique? How is it unique?
She sang a Kelly Hilson song and bases her look on that other muppet Cheryl. Unique my ass.

The UK is full of these white teenagers running around thinking they are black and it is anything but unique or different. Plus the fact that she was shit at rapping and can't sing. It was cringeworthy.
These days every Tom, Dick and harry is releasing some form of, and I use the term very loosely, 'RnB', then how are people calling it different? The MoBO's has more white artists that black artists up for awards these days.

The fuss being made over that first audition really makes me wonder

I said unique to her target audience

Did that girl with the massive eyelashes get put through who said there is noone like me in the world yet clearly models herself on Lady Ga Ga, then picked a song she can't sing without crying?

'I'm sorry, this is an emotional one for me.'

Well here's a hint, you're in a competition where you have to sing a song, pick one you're able to actually sing.

Every year it gets more and more tugging on heart strings and trying the emotional card to the point where you can just spot it a mile off now and looks so fake.

What the feck was Louis thinking bringing that bloke back?

Seriously?

So they're now gonna make even more money selling the songs through itunes. Not a bad idea.

What? They're selling the songs they perform on the night? Quality idea.

Result for Liverpool

Cheryl loves scousers!

Yes on itunes.

This is a much bigger twist. What are the implications of this? Could they go to number 1 if enough people downloaded?

Yeah, good point

They could have a number 1 before they've even got a record deal. Unless someone sings some epic song really well, I wont be buying though

I would imagine so.

Why are they names after Bellamy?

They were crap!

Had they had this in the past, Leona would have had multiple number 1s before she even won the competition.

Am I the only one who thinks that pretty much all of the contestants so far have been, well a bit sh!t? Only for the judges to big them up, even Simon.
