Television X Factor 2010

she may be a jealous bitch but if sombody who didn't actually sing gets through I'll be pissed aswell

Cheryl Cole is just a stupid bitch

Yeah but...she didn't bring a jacket!

To be fair, that Anastasia is spot on there. I would be bloody annoyed if I went to a job interview, and I didn't get the job ahead of someone who didn't bother to turn up.

If she's staying out all night, that's up to her. But it is pretty harsh on Anastasia who works her socks off to be beaten by someone who has been completely inappropriate in her behaviour.

Err it's nothing like that, it's more like if you were up against someone who had a great first interview and offers something completely different to you, whilst you have two decent interviews the other guy had one that surpassed them both.

I havn't watched much of it this year, i've only watched one or two episodes but from what I remember this Anastasia lass is no different to anyone else in the current pop music scene, atleast Cher can offer something unique to her target audience.

Lets be honest, Cher is totally shit. And that 'rapping'...deary me.

Why the feck am I hearing about X Factor and some stupid bints that Cheryl Cole did and did not put through to the next round wherever I go?

I'd just like to let you all know that the X Factor is shit.

Hope this helps.

What I find hilarious is how quickly your public standing can change, all year Cheryl Cole has been the ultimate media darling and all of a sudden she is public enemy no.1

It made a bit of a mockery of the judges houses section but at the end of the day it's a singing competition, not a 'get to bed early and bring appropriate clothing' competition. If she thought the other girl had more talent then she should go through, they should just skip the whole pretence that the houses bit makes a difference.

you're right, it's a singing competition, and Cher and desperate Dan didn't even sing, and what do you know, they both go through

Well Cher was ill at the time so her being given the benefit of the doubt isn't that bad, that other one on the other hand just crumbled and shouldn't have been given the passage to the live shows.

I don't get why Cher is getting a hard time im not a fan but she is only 16 was ill she wasn't the only one Katie fecked up twice.

Who's Desperate Dan?

Unique? How is it unique?
She sang a Kelly Hilson song and bases her look on that other muppet Cheryl. Unique my ass.

The UK is full of these white teenagers running around thinking they are black and it is anything but unique or different. Plus the fact that she was shit at rapping and can't sing. It was cringeworthy.
These days every Tom, Dick and harry is releasing some form of, and I use the term very loosely, 'RnB', then how are people calling it different? The MoBO's has more white artists that black artists up for awards these days.

The fuss being made over that first audition really makes me wonder

Wait, so what you're saying is that only black people are allowed to perform 'R&B' music? And that whitey isn't allowed to partake in music of black ORIGIN? That sounds great, let's say the film industry was originated by white folk, so we'll have no black people at the oscars thank you very much.

fecking bigot.

Not so sure about "thinking they are black", cultural influence maybe.
But you do raise and interesting point, and if Cher was a black girl would there be such a big fuss about her "unique talent".

I usually hate these programs with an unnatural passion, but i find myself strangely drawn to the girl Rebecca, she has a very beautiful voice, like a young Randy Crawford..I hope she does well and gets the opportunity to record something, because an engineer could do wonders with that voice.

I don't usually taint my eyes or ears with this show, however I was visiting relatives on Saturday and it was on in the background.

Two things freaked me out.

1) The guy who looked like a gay pixie.
2) Sharon Osbourne and her botox overdose.

Interesting viewing. I was generally surprised that none of the judges got punched. They seemed to tell all the contestants how great they were, and then say "sorry, you haven't made it through"

Why not start out by saying, thanks for your efforts, but you're not good enough? Telling them how wonderful they are deludes them into thinking they can try again and be succesful. That bitter bint who slagged off Cher tried out 5 times and is still deluding herself.

Why don't they make these shows so that people have to write and perform their own music, rather than just dress up like a twat and rip off a song which already exists?

That way, actual talent gets a chance to break through, and the show might not end up being infested with shallow, plastic gimps who make me cringe every time I'm forced to watch it (and I don't just mean the constestants).

It's worse than Big Brother.

I love how loads of posts in this thread start with the same 7 words. "I don't usually watch this show but....."

I take your point about 'if Cher was black' but I think even with her being white that there is nothing unique about it. I'm sure there are thousands of teenagers that could go on stage a rap badly and browl like a tiger cub. Even her look was based on Cheryl, with a ton more makeup. This whole 'unique' business is a joke.

I agree with you on your second paragraph. She is something special and for all the shit that goes on in these shows the unveiling of this girl means that something good has come out of it.

The same could be said for Matt.

I just hope that the show does not water them down into generic pop white noise.
