Television X Factor 2010

leona ( as sweet and talented as she is ) is like dido - music to slit your throat to.

I've always thought she turned every song into a tragedy. Then there's the whole "I'll sing this word in as many different notes as I possibly can" thing.

Clearly a good singer, but she just irritates me.

It was a bit of a farce last night alright and I said to the wife that there was racist undertones through all the selections.

The two best are still in it though, Matt and Rebecca. The problem is they will now be forced to sing generic pop nonsense which will do a serious disservice to their voices.

Rebecca should feck off now and try to work with Amy Winehouses producers.

It was setup to be the Cheryl and Cher show from week two.

racist :wenger: dont talk crap

Katie is the most annoying contestant ever.

How the hell can CC put through someone who can't even complete an audition?

totally agree, both times she was in front of the panel she had a drama queen moment. I dont even think she was good enough to warrant being a 'gamble'. Some of the other girls had better voices. Its supposed to be a bloody talent show, not who looks the best

Cher also shouldn't have been put through for the sake of her health, im not talking about sore throat, im talking about her mental state. She looks ill, like she has some kind of eating disorder.

Absolutely. Can you explain the two girls going through without actually performing auditions?
That guy Paige and the lad who wore the hat were head and shoulders above two of the lads that ended up going through.
Racist I tells yah!

and the fact that she was absolutely dreadful in the auditions she did manage to perform.

If middle class sixteen year old girls 'rapping' is the future(according to CC) of music then we are all fecked.

i thought he was very good too.

and that tesco woman? really ? :wenger:

Louis picking the Irish entries every year is ridiculous. He should have taken the girl from Hove instead.

at least she could sing; i thought for one scary moment he was going to take Vagner!

Wagner may actually be insane. Everyone else was doing the whole weeping furiously thing, and he was just sitting there grinning madly at Louis.

FURIOUS X Factor fans have blasted Cheryl Cole for axing Gamu Nhengu in favour of Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd.

The Geordie judge decided to take both girls through to the live rounds, along with Rebecca Ferguson, as part of her final three.

But her choice has provoked anger from viewers - and angry X Factor fans have bombarded The Sun's newsroom with calls blasting the decision.

Both Katie and Cher gave worse performances than popular Zimbabwean Gamu on the show screened over the weekend.

Gamu Nhengu not through to the final 12
Shocked ... Gamu
Tearful Cher, 17, broke down in tears after being unable to get the words to her song out because of a throat infection.

And Katie, 24, stopped after a few verses of Nat King Cole's Smile because she was overcome by emotion - causing Cheryl to label her a "drama queen" to her pal Will.I.Am.

Meanwhile Gamu, 18, gave a faultless rendition of Pixie Lott's Cry Me Out - and looked visibly shocked to be told she hadn't got through.

The decision has led thousands of viewers to flood internet forums, Twitter and Facebook to complain the wrong people got through.

One fan ranted: "Cheryl seems to have lost the plot. You wonder if malaria has made her unbalanced."

Another said: "Guess the rumours are true and X Factor really is fixed," while another tweeted how the decision was "utter madness".

Even Simon's ex Sinitta waded into the argument, writing: "Still stunned about Gamu! What is wrong with Tweedy pie?"

Minutes after the announcement aired on the show, the phrase "Hate Cheryl Cole" was trending on Twitter.

And over 33,000 people have joined the Facebook group "Gamu should have got through".

But there's a chance her X Factor dream may not be over as each judge will choose a "wildcard" from each of their categories in next Saturday's show.

It was a rubbish choice but people being outraged over it is amusing

Tbf, we need these people to get outraged so the more balanced amongst us don't have to.

I'd love to tell CC she's a talentless, tasteless little thug...but I don't really have the time. These people, however, do.

Good on them, I say.

All this outraged and publicity is exactly what Simon wants every one will forget who Gamu is in a week. People still blaming Cheryl I said it before she is just a puppet for Cowell he picks them.

Don't people realise that this show is ALL about keeping people talking about it and what better way than to drop the supposed certainties to go through....125,000!!! on a Save Gamu Facebook account

Cowell, you're a genius.

The whole rage against the machine issue from last year will have made the producers and cowell realise just what sway the internet and facebook in particular has now. By not putting Gamu through he's created a bit of a sensation and there's this massive outcry over how it's a fix.

What will happen now? well they'll have this wildcard thing on Saturday and potentially have the public decide who they want to bring back, at this stage all those up in arms about Gamu will ring to get her back in. So that's money made straight away. Then you'll see a facebook group that suggests people vote for Gamu each week to 'prove' the judges wrong.

If I was Cowell i'd be having two shows this weekend the wildcard thing on Saturday and then on Sunday the first proper show - it gives them a chance to have two vote offs and increases income from that and the advertising slots.

I've tried to forget about it!

The weekend sporting wise doesn't exist now as far as i'm concerned!!

it didn't go down very well here either.

my husband watched it upstairs and asked if the dogs could be down in my lounge in case he frightened them by shouting when saints scored.

in hindsight, they'd have been perfectly ok with him!

Apparently gamu wasn't picked due to visa problems and trayc will be cheryls wild card pick

Gamu Nhengu has not been picked as Cheryl Cole's X Factor wildcard, according to reports.

Nhengu, who wasn't chosen for the Top 12 on Sunday's Judges' Houses show, was expected to be a part of a wildcard twist that is rumoured to be taking place on this weekend's first live show.

However, showbiz reporter Dan Wooton and The Mirror have claimed that Gamu will not be Cole's wildcard. Rival singer Treyc Cohen is now expected to get the bonus slot on the show.

Writing on Twitter, Wooton said: "Gamu is not Cheryl's wildcard. I'm told Cheryl was put under pressure by X Factor producers not to put her through, so don't blame her... Now, why Cheryl was asked not to put Gamu through is another question altogether."

According to The Mirror, issues surrounding Nhengu's visa prevented her being picked for the live shows.

The X Factor continues on Saturday at 7.40pm on ITV1.

Cheryl should com out and explain exactly why she thought that big chinned blond girl was better than Gamu.

Cheryl should not be judging talent, espcially since she can't sing to save her life. Apart from being an ok dancer I fail to see what talent she actually has.

She has absolutely no talent whatsoever. She's a little scrote.

Disagree. You don't have to be particularly talented musically to judge whether one can sing or not. That's not what makes a good judge. Simon himself said he can't sing nor can he play an instrument yet he is probably the best judge in these damn shows. To be honest, it doesn't take a genius to be a judge. You just have to make a judgement about whether one can sing or not and any of us can do that essentially. Simon makes a good judge because he, on the most part, can speak what the public is thinking.

I'm not sure if Simon ultimately gets veto power over Cheryl, Danni, and Louis' choices but if it is in fact the choices of each individual judge, Cheryl has been fantastic so far seeing her record.

but you agree she can't sing, surely?

someone explain how that Italian twonk got through?

It's to keep people talking about the show. Out of sight out of mine and visa versa.

I truly believe it's done on purpose to rile the viewer a little. It's a little like the way a poor refereeing decision makes people argue and debate furiously Monday morning back in work, although 99% of the time the latter is genuine error on the ref's part

The show needs viewers arguing, debating and slagging of it's contestants in order for it to maintain it's circus like status
