Ten Hag absolutely fecked up by signing this guy and starting him every game.

Rashford should've been our starting striker every other game at worst till Martial came back.

We're playing with 10 men with him on the field, and he's started every game in every competition since he signed. All he brings is running, and he does that slowly, so he's not even good at that.

Rashford up top, Antony right and Sancho left; or Bruno false 9 would be preferable right now. If all Weg is doing is pressing, surely even Elanga or Pellistri could do that. When he gets the ball, there is no quality, no threat. He's massive but he's so easily pushed off the ball and not remotely a threat in the air.

If we still make top 4 with him being our undroppable starting CF, it will be miraculous.

Falcao was just washed up but you could see his ideas even if they didn't come off. Similar to Ronaldo before we binned him off, you could see what he's trying but his body wouldn't let it happen anymore. This fecking clown doesn't even have good ideas, that near post shot from that angle was just daft not to mention the execution terrible anyways.
The shot was so weak. Either go for full power or pull it accross

‘If Ten Hag wants him then that’s fine by me’. This guy is absolutely shocking and feck knows why anyone would decide to bring him to Manchester United. These noises I’m hearing about him being here next season are very worrying.
I'm with you, ETH shouldn't be allowed to bring in any of his players anymore. This move could end up costing us top four but what's worse is his loyalty to a bad idea. I worry that he's actually fine with what he's seeing which makes things even worse.

Desperately pursuing Antony at £84m was bad enough but this move takes the cake. We have an actual DoF so no more of this ETH wants player X business.

Donkey. Fingers crossed Martial can keep fit.

While I'm totally with you regarding Wout, and Antony for this sum was also daft (but unlike Wout, I haven't written him off yet),
Martinez and Malacia are good buys. His eye for the players we need isn't all that shite.

But yeah,
I too am scared of ETH being fine with Wout because he brings other things to our game, supposedly,
things that have nothing to do with scoring goals, creating chances, pressing effectively, winning aerial duels...

If that's the case then we're fecked.

People would bat for anything. They really thought it was sustainable to have a (backup) striker miss so many attributes and not hurt us. Like what happens to the attack when Rashford stops scoring. He never made sense to make permanent as even a backup. Who in their right mind is thinking he's the man for the job when chasing a goal or trying to change a game.

I like the guy. He seems to have passion and attitude that some of our other players lack, but ultimately he's a million miles from good enough. He's not good enough for United or Burnley or the premier League in general.

He's a huge guy who can't head the ball or predict the flight of any balls coming towards him in the air, and seems to struggle to jump. He also has very little strength for someone so big, and very little power (or accuracy) in his shots. He isn't bad at holding up play and that's literally the only positive from a playing perspective.

I do expect him to be kept though. The manager wouldn't play him in every game if he saw these flaws.

The fact that EtH says he's considering signing him permanently is seriously worrying. He's nowhere near the quality required. Yes, he runs around a lot. But guess what? So would I.

Wouldn't start for any of the bottom 3. An absolute disastrous signing from the manager. I can't quite get my head around it.

Ronaldo leaving needed to be done but to replace him with Weghorst (even if it's just a loan) is just stupidity. We'd be better playing one of the kids who can actually run and contribute.

ETH needs to accept this quickly or he will be in big trouble.

I mean, feck me sideways... Martials has 15 touches! Alvarez had 33 against Liverpool the other day.

It's fine to take harder looks at the manager's preferences. It's unacceptable to just take his word as gospel and a draconic way of doing business. Hell, much of Liverpool's decline this year can be traced back to doing similar with Klopp, instead of shrewdly buying like they did back when Edwards was there and using that department in tandem with Klopp's recommendations.

No more Wout please.
Martial stay fit ffs!

Even if Martial can't stay fit I think we need to look for alternative ways to play. We should be playing Rashford at CF even if it's not his ideal position and move one of Sancho or Pellistri on the left when Martial isn't available.

Sancho still has a lot to prove and Pellistri is probably better suited on the RW but we need to try something else.

The issue wasn't the idea of signing him (he was having an okay year for Beskitas and already had PL experience as well as being known for his work rate), the issue is the persistence with starting him every game no matter what. Anyone that wasn't a delusional caftard addicted to passion could see after about 5 matches that he was very poor and the overall team performance going forwards was much worse with him, yet he's gotten another 6 starts in a row after that. It's unacceptable, and if ETH isn't careful his persistence could cause real issues much like other managers that have fallen in love with bogey players for us in the past (Ole and Maguire, Mourinho and Fellaini etc.)

Exactly. Try anything else. Give a false 9 a go , or something more fluid. Top managers adapt to their personnel, and ETH has done great mostly to do this with what he's working with, but if Martial isn't going to start then he needs to do so again.

Yup, I’ve seen people say what choice does he have and who else is there but you have to actually look at the signing in itself. If weghorst is the best option ten haag thought was available then that is worrying. There are genuinely better forwards in the championship who’d have cost what he did in loan fees.

The more I see the truer this becomes.

I get that EtH may have been overwhelmed by the novelty but how he can watch him game after game & think him running around a bit is enough is beyond me. My biggest worry with EtH is perhaps also his biggest strength, he’s hard headed. I hope he doesn’t persist with this guy simply to prove people wrong.

A disastrous signing but the worst is that ETH doesn’t seem to be able to change his mind about him.

I actually find it concerning we don’t have someone better in the academy.

Playing him up top was enough with the limitations that we have already. But to pair him with Tommy was just ridiculous and made them (and the team) look a lot worse than they actually were.

Our play has gone to shit since he was signed and played every game. I don’t think I have ever seen such a limited 9. Cancel the loan and never play him again!

Absolutely must not be signed permenantly. Nowhere near good enough.

ETH insistence on picking him and keep saying how pleased he is with him is getting concerning

If Martial can actually stay fit it'll be interesting to see if he finally relegates WW to the bench

There has to be someone in the under 21s who can score more than one goal every 10 or 15 games

Find it unbelievable when we've got scouts all over the world that this was the 'best' striker loan that they could arrange in January.

I agree he’s nowhere near good enough, but I’m not sure Rashford up front with Sancho on the left would be much better given that Rashford has always been much better off the left, and Sancho has been utterly useless, almost Wout-levels of useless. The only thing to cling on to is Martial hopefully staying fit.

“He’s a nice lad and works hard.”

Why is it every pundit and fan seem to say that, before they say he’s fecking shit!

The crazy thing for me isn't his awful performance (it was expected), it's the fact that some have been trying to convince us to stop using our eyes and start thinking he's actually useful or good for the team. It has been evident from day one that this is a nonsense purchase of a championship level player, yet some have to argue against common sense and logic. It's as if it runs in the veins of some United fans to blind themselves from the truth as long as possible.

He's a striker whom people have nothing to praise him for except "trying hard". That should be more than an enough of a proof that he's awful at his main job.

I lost my patience with him today. I respect his pressing, but his all round game is poor and his actual striker based abilities like shooting, heading, being a poacher etc are appalling.

Every time I see Sabitzer move forward, I think he'd be a far better striker.

Wout is truely one of the least threatening Strikers I've ever seen.
