Our emergency striker who was supposed to be the sole striker in the squad can't play as a striker. He has no standout abilities at this level, just not up to scratch.
You can't fault his work-rate, but he's just crap. He's second to basically every ball.
Injuries and suspensions have forced him to get so many minutes, but with Casemiro and McTominay back he surely can't be starting any more games unless it's against relegation fodder.

He’s actually pretty good. Just needs the finishing touch.
His pressing and work rate is very good but besides that he is a very limited footballer and this is a level to high for him.
I’d be interested in seeing his running stats for this game. Was everywhere, non-stop. Outstanding in that aspect.

Worst finisher to ever play as a striker for United? Makes Bellion, Dong, and Manucho look like Ronaldo, Messi, and Lewandowski. His aerial play/jumping is absolutely laughable given his height.

Is Martial out for the season? I'd take his random 1 in 5 games appearances this season at this rate. Hopefully Wout improves going forward because right now he doesn't offer much and Ten Hag so far feels compelled to play him since he brought him.

He was. Winning the tackles, linking up play, a couple of through balls. Made the run that allowed Sancho and Bruno to create the 3rd goal. You put someone who works hard that high up the field, you're bound to unsettle the opposition defence. These are the intangibles people don't see. Footballers can't all be Dimitar Berbatov.

If he could finish (and dominate in the air) he'd be absolutely immense like Lewa level and not on loan to us.

He should've had 2 assists if not for some dodgy finishing. Speaking of finishing, my God Wout... in the end it seemed like the whole team was trying to actively set him up which was funny.
He is kind of like the Fellaini of strikers. Moves like he is walking in treacle, but gives his all every game and hunts down every loose ball. Rather unfortunate not to score but he offers something as a squad player for sure

Yeah thought he had a very good game. Never going to be a top striker but he’s a good player and contributing well. Would be fantastic if he was just a back up to a great striker but oh well.
I thought he was good today - would have been a complete performance if he had scored. He created a lot of chances, did great counter pressing and won the ball back quite a few times. He may not score the goals atm but he's doing everything else really well
Honestly, I'd rather have Fellaini.
