Granted he's not good but when he's on the pitch we put next to zero crosses in. He's subbed and its raining crosses, WTF! Everyone can quite clearly see playing through balls to him it's doing nothing but we have never tried to utilise his strengths and that is a real head scratcher.

Completely agree. We only seem to try and use his height to defend set pieces. It's weird.

Out of his depth, thought he'd be a bench player, is starting far too many games.

Complete waste of time to stalk his flight on flight tracker before his arrival.

I said that he would bounce back after the Palace game...and he definitely did not tonight.

A bit surprised with the lack of fight as it seemed his head and shoulders dropped a bit. Maybe he's feeling a bit out of depth? Not surprising mind but he's got to having a bit more fight like he did in his first initial games.

Hes just not up to the pace of our other forwards. We have looked far better in the last 2 games when he was hooked

He came to be a backup obviously.

Unfortunately and as expected martial can't play so this dude has played six or seven games in a row as a starter

Reason we went for a loan
But also find it funny we didn't try to cross it when he was on the pitch but had about five / six great crosses after he left the pitch

Where has all his hype-men gone? Some on here thought he was the next Batistuta
Except no one thought nothing even close to that, people just answered the questions "what does he bring" which lots of people didn't like the answers as it doesn't go against agenda that he "brings nothing" which is load of bollocks. But carry on.

He is an awful header of the ball, can't direct a ball properly with his head to save his life.

Fellaini would've been a better option than him as a stop-gap.

He honestly looks like a fan from the crowd picked to play upfront for us. The game is way too fast for him, he's always a step behind the play.

The chances were coming thick and fast after he was subbed. I doubt he scores again this season unless its a goalie howler or a deflection.

His strength isn't winning headers though, that's the entire issue. For his size he's pretty crap in the air, you'd be better off sticking Varane up front.

I feel bad as it's not really his fault, he didn't pick himself to start every game for us. He really should not be playing Premier League football.

I have seen people say he was bad at heading the ball considering his height. And they were not exaggerating it.

But then his performance...at least we should be grateful that someone is up there playing in that position.

I said after the Arsenal game already that:

"I didn't think he'd be as bad as he has been tbh, he's practically a training cone."

And if anything he seems to be getting worse.

Waste of a shirt.

We haven't got a right lot of choice with how much of a sick note Martial is.

Weird how much we cross the ball when he is not on the pitch.
Can be easily explained.

Leeds play a high line to maintain their compact pressing.

With a slow CF, we didn't have option to penetrate through the central on counter. We ended going to the wings especially without a proper midfield, which slowed down our play, either slow build up, or quick counter.

First half Rashford on the right is a disaster. Garnacho had chances, but he still has a long way with his end product and decision making.

Rashford lead the line mid way in the second half meant Leeds last line stretched when they pressed. They started to panic, and withdrew, and lessened their pressing. We were able to push our formation higher up, and enjoyed more time camping in their half. Fred had a disastrous performance with how much he gave away possession, giving Leeds breathing space.

Should not be starting another game.

It's ridiculous, he slows play down and doesn't add any value.

He's just too slow for a Ten Hag system to be honest,

If you gave a choice between picking who would be our bench striker next season with Martial, I'd pick him but we desperately need to spend big on a striker in the summer

How can a 6 and a half foot person who's spent most of his life practicing how to play football be bad at heading the ball? Doesn't make sense when you really think about it. Literally that's the whole point of practice, to get good at something

No excuse. Against team relying on pressing, and the byproduct of a high line like Leeds, it's fine starting Rashford as CF. Give them something to worry about through ball through the center, or the channel. That would significantly negate their pressing. In turn helped us a lot in the bigger picture of this game with our shite midfield, midfielder like this. Our two conceded goals were all down to their pressing, where our midfield, and defense fell into panic mode.

Preventing at least one of the two goal, and we likely had won this game, however the issue with our midfield. Our record against Leeds with McFred is the proof. Rashford playing up front for about half an hour changed the tactical outlook of this game further proved the point.

He's really nowhere near good enough. Not involved in the game at all, it's a sad state but worrying going forward the rest of the season. I can't see him scoring much at all, link up play isn't good enough. He's never in the position to score, some things can't be coached.

It's like he is a fan who won a competition to get to play in a charity game

He’s our main striker and will be for rest of season unless we start playing Rashford there. Should be someone to come off the bench or to bring in for odd game not starting every game.

There were people on here saying he's a better fit for the squad than Martial(ignoring his woeful injury record).

He's just not good enough and lacks dynamism too much. Thankfully a loan only.

Didn't offer enough today but this is where our squad is. Martial remains as reliable as an ashtray on a motorbike.

With Sancho / Garnacho now available, surely Ten Hag will be tempted to play Rashford centrally.

I got laughed at for suggesting Ings and Iheanacho, 2 strikers who have averaged 0.5 goals every 90 minutes over their Premier League careers would have been better signings.

Not that he is good, but its a bit ridiculous we don't punt crosses to him more often. Won't help if he has dropped to Bruno's position during the play.

Slower than a slow thing that’s really slow, awful in the air, can’t hold the ball up. I mean he played for Burnley and that is fundamentally his level. He’s doing what’s expected of him.

Not his fault that Martial can’t stay fit though, so starting way more games than he’s supposed to.
I’d imagine with Sancho back, Antony, Garnacho and now Pellistri able to cover the wings Rashford can be played centrally.
Weghorst offers nothing.

In most of the other matches he's played there have been one or two moments, however fleeting, that demonstrated that he could contribute, usually holding the ball up and having some decent link up play. Tonight he offered nothing at all.

Rashford can play there, and i bet my balls both Elanga and Garnacho can play there and offer us more.
Really thought it be impossible for him to offer us less than Ronaldo did but here we are.
I did not believe it when a Burnley fan here said he was crap in the air, just doesn`t make sense. But he is.
He found his level at the turkish league.
