He's in deep shit if league form doesn't pick up very quickly and will only have himself to blame.

Outplayed and out smarted in all but 30 minutes against Newcastle in this league campaign. We can no longer blame pre-season, fatigue, travel or all the other excuses that get fired the way to those that point out the obvious fact - he’s not up to the job.
He’s been backed, he’s had a bucket load of luck last season and now it’s just plainly obvious he’s not cut out for it.
We are heading for a mid table campaign with one of the most expensive squads in world football and people are sticking with him for no other reason that that he is an ex player.

And if someone dares point out issues in our wins, they literally pile on. And then they go all touchy-feely when they get it equally back.

Reminds me of a certain orange moron and his horde of followers across the ocean.
Just like Plump & his supporters, exactly.

Somewhat like Rashford & his supporters in here as well.

What tough start? These are the expected results for our first 6 games.

Palace W
Brighton W
Spurs D/W
Newcastle W
Chelsea D
Arsenal D/W

14 points is the minimum we should've been achieving. 7 is a fecking joke.
Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea are all tough games in any season. Losing to Palace was a sickener. Goodison next, and that's another tough one. Ole now has little room for manoeuvre and has to beat the smaller sides.

I thought they were knee jerk as well and i think i posted it in that thread. This game to game overreaction needs to stop

Its still early days, if top 4 becomes impossible he will be sacked and deservedly so, but until then i dont see the point of this

He's been here nearly the same amount of time as LvG who had a similar record and was sacked despite an FA Cup win. It's not knee jerk.

People have every right to form a negative opinion of him after 100 games. It's as far from knee jerk as you can get. Our form this season has been patchcy and some of our inept performances are very concerning. People who didn't rate him still want him gone, they've been consistent. Looking at our form this season you can make a case to keep or get rid. Neither are too ludicrous or far fetched. You can then back up your view with what has come before, and again, both sides have a case. You have chosen your side and you obviously won't deviate. Other people have chosen theirs and calling them knee jerk is disingenuous, and comes across as trying to shut down the other sides opinions, whether that's your intention or not.

International break again after the Everton game next weekend. If we win, things settle down again a bit for Ole, but if we lose, I’ve seen a lot stranger things in football than Pochettino being our manager for the West Brom game post international break. That might sound like sensationalism, but we would be teetering above the relegation zone. A draw is also fairly useless.

Keane can blame the players given his loyalty to his mate Ole, but the buck stops with the manager...... it always has done and it always will do in football.

All at home. 1 point from 9 is midtable/relegation form.

It's a cause for panic because if we want to keep pushing to get to the top then we simply have to make top 4 and this has been a terrible start. If we don't make top 4 there's no difference between LVG Jose and Ole.

Agree with this. We know what our players are at this stage, it's his job to create a system that works with what we have. Look around the league, we're probably at the right spot given how we've played this year.

He'll be outside of the top 6 with a third of the season gone, practically guaranteed at this stage. Do we honestly have to hope he goes on another 10 game run to balance this out? Is anything we're doing now able to suggest that will work?

Exactly.

Consistency is the latest stick they're trying to beat Ole with. But they've been consistently good since February. It's been 34 games.

We lost 2 games due to having no preseason. That's literally the only reason those performances happened. Once they got the international break to catch up physically they went straight back into their usual good form.

United supporters should be loving life right now.

This is a wind up, right? We’re 15th!!!!

Need a structural change in that case.

Would it not just be easier to get new coaches?
He is a legend and deserves to be treated that way. As long as he is not near the coaching side, we should just be fine.

I loved him as our player and this feeling will never change.....but i hate him so much as our coach.

So he was happy again with a 0-0 :wenger::mad:

He knows we were terrible in the 1st half and he changes nothing :wenger::lol:

NO ONE CARES WHAT HAPPENED 12 MONTHS AGO.

Ah man it's almost every other match. He said "we need to work on it" after:

Palace (fair play on this given pre season)
Brighton
Spurs
Arsenal

So 4 of the 6 league games we've played this season.

With that said, he can't really say much else to be fair. It's just the sentence is rapidly losing its value at this stage.

Ole has learned nothing from the previous games. That’s the concerning part. He’s winging it to a degree.

It seems like he always wants to look at full half of the glass after every loss or draw but it comes out as ridiculous to be honest. Some one of his coaching team needs to tell him that.

He won't be on the same benchmark as last year. No chance last year's form will be acceptable. Just took a look at our next run of league fixtures

Everton
West Brom
Southampton
West Ham

It's a good run. Sure a couple sides are in good form but Manchester United should be capable of dispatching them.

Have you seen how long this thread is. I’ve seen it as and when I’ve posted, have a look through. I’m not sitting here and copying and pasting it for everyone.

no one expects you to comb through the whole thread, but for gods sake make a token effort to back up your claims

What? You said it’s throughout this thread, so it should be easy?

So go on. We are waiting.

If people want the manager sacked, why do they only bring the excuses when he loses and personal posts at that. And yes some do whinge even when he wins.
I am here constantly even when he ride his luck and win, I know some here thinks he need time, but there are things cant be proven by numbers and league position. From the way he managed the team in his 2 year here, he has shown only patches of good performances (not results).

We're seeing what I think is what we'll continue to get. Snatch wins as underdogs, struggle in games we shouldn't and generally drop points needlessly against any team brave enough to have a go.

There will always be enough crumbs for those that completely back Ole, and vice versa. But in the end, where are we? A perpetual state of mediocrity.

I think what I'm saying is that this is probably as far as he can take us unless we build the best team on the planet.

You'd think Arsenal ran over us based on the replies in here

It was a dead even game. Pogba's moronic mistake cost us, unfortunately. But I guess that is Ole's fault as well...

Also, the referee was useless.

:lol:He’s genuinely worse than Moyes and people are backing him blindly. Liverpool fans reading this thread must be loving it seeing so many deluded United fans.

Just looking at this objectively, we have at least as good a squad than we've had for the past 7 years, but we've now made a worse start than in any of those years (including the year Mourinho dramatically imploded). We're getting played off the park by teams like Brighton, who have a squad worth an order of magnitude less than ours. We've managed 1 point at home from a possible 12, included a 6-1 loss to Spurs... worse than any season since 1973.

The season absolutely has not been all bad, and we've had a great start to the Champions League campaign, but I can't help but feel that if I was a rival fan - I'd be puzzled if Ole's job wasn't under any real pressure at the moment? If he goes without a win at Everton next week, I'd genuinely be stunned if he has a job beyond the international break. Ultimately, I don't think it's too far fetched to say a better manager would currently be getting more out of these players.
