oh but you see he doesnt "Get the club" or something.

Above i said i wouldnt really blame ole before the 1-6 because its clear as day the problem is in the roots of this club ie: the board and woodward. They need to be ripped out. Cutting off the leaves serves no purpose if the roots are rotten. However its hard to defend ole, hes out of his depth too.

Well, maybe football is at a time where sticking to a tradition like ''The United way'' or ''The United DNA style of play'' while beautiful, won't quite be enough to compete with the clubs sponsored by billionaires

Pretty much the reason why the club tried with Mourinho, but unfortunately, Mourinho had too big of a temper to last more than three seasons...

Not really sure where Ole will take us. At best, I think he will be a Van Gaal, winning a trophy or two. At worst, he'll get us back to six or seventh place... not exactly the stuff dreams are made of

I don't think he'll resign or get fired but the team looks completely disjointed and demotivated, and I don't think he'll survive very long.

Consistency has always seemed to be a problem for Ole. Form went off a cliff at the end of his first season, it almost did again at the end of his second. But now he's starting the season like he's been finishing them, which is very worrying indeed.

Since Bruno came in we've been attempting to transition into a team that dominates more rather than sits back and breaks, and it just doesn't seem to be working for us at all.

Very hard to see this turning around. As someone who's backed Ole a lot I'm absolutely gutted for him and the club, because I don't see where we go from here. I'd hoped we would have sorted out the DoF/Woodward situation before we fired another manager, but alas we're still here stuck in the same shitty situation.

It's going to be harder to recruit top managers as the cycle of negative keeps going.

Would the club had supported Jose over Pogba and got his other requests, can he challenge for trophies. at United?

Way too many reactive people on here, yes we've started off terribly, but we did that last season and it was all doom and gloom and then went on a very good run, which shut a lot of people up. There was a relegation thread on here, ffs, and it was serious.
Obviously we don't want the bad start to continue, but let's get the window over first, at least, shall we...

I wouldn't care if they left Pogba go for 50 million in the morning to be honest.

Would have any of the top three teams across Europe in their respective leagues have getting Ole as their manager.

Not hope!

Head, meet sand.

I want him gone, can't afford one more shit start and then rely on others to drop off. We should be building on what we have achieved last season.

Also it's hilarious to see few popping out the minute we hit the bad patch after disappearing since Jan, waiting for the moment "ManUtd fans"

If he wanted to emulate SAF, he should have brought in a top coach or two to assist him - Ole could have left the backroom staff to get on with the tactics and fitness, while he did the "United legend" cheerleader stuff.

He can't. Changing backroom staff won't change anything, SAF was great because he was a great leader, not because he had good backroom staff.

For example, when Klopp's assistant left, people said their level might drop as he was the brains behind all the attacking game, since he left Klopp won CL and PL. SAF had Phelan for years and won shit loads of trophies.

SAF changed so many assistants but still won the league comfortable and many times, they make little change, the man in charge makes the biggest impact.

Yup, it's almost like Belichick in the NFL. A good manager/coach makes the hires that he needs and is able to keep replacing them as needed.

Ole is a terrible speaker. He cannot string a sentence together without hesitating and stuttering. I wonder if he speaks like that in his native tongue too. I cringe every time I watch him and I am amazed got the job.

I agree with the people who say that he is not a leader. The players will start to lead themselves after this humiliation because they will have to. Results will improve but I feel certain that will have little to do with Ole. We need a motivator in here who can string more than 3 words together.

Probably not. Even if he got everything he asked for, City were too far ahead of us at that point for him to win a title before the Mourinho implosion.

But I think a big part of the decision to sign Ole as interim, and then give him the permanent job, was to protect Pogba as an asset, the usual Woodward/Judge approach to players. They needed someone who would coddle Pogba and make him feel 10 feet tall and get away with whatever performance level he feels like giving on a particular day.

We could have sold Pogba for probably in excess of £100m at a certain point. Like a lot of things, including the moves for AWB and Maguire, I think that decision is going to look very poor in hindsight.

Tactics-wise, it looks like pretty much every club has figured him out.

We could be in for an ugly sequence if he doesn't adjust and persists in thinking that it's just players out of form.

It’s easier to fix the attack than to really fix the defense, even the defense-minded Mourinho struggled with fixing our defense. We need to support Ole, but at the same time we need to hire defensive coaches and spend money in our defense. Good fullbacks first of all, then the CB pairing needs to be changed.

Well, we should have backed Jose. We didn't. Now we need to back Ole. Going on yet another merry go round of rebuilding is going to break the club. However, I doubt the club will continue to back him. I got a sneaky feeling if the team goes on a losing streak similar to last season, he might just get the chop by Dec. I hope not.

Any manager who comes in will get handicapped again. The problems at the club go beyond the manager. It's systemic at board level. It would take a massive stroke of luck to find a manager who is larger than life enough to overcome the persistent handicaps our managers all seem to face. Will lightning strike twice and we find a second SAF? I'm not so confident.

And it's not just the transfers. The constant indulging in drama around the club just creates unnecessary pressure on the players. The players obviously feel it because they get harassed by idiotic plastic fans on social media constantly. This is creating negativity in the club. They really need to find a way to disconnect the players from all that bullshit.

If an 82 point season, second place and winning the Europa didn't warrant backing, what has OGS achieved to merit support? But I fully agree that knowing the clubs decision makers OGS will continue till there's not even top four left to play for. After all we are not a sacking club.

We won the Europa the prior season.

Jose didn't deserve further backing after his disgraceful post-match vs Sevilla.

Ole needs to make the defense compact and play on counter. It is not united way, but that's the only way I can think with the kind of players we've got. No point pretending we have FB and make them run up the field. Just gather your shit and make the defense hard to crack first. Things will start falling in place afterward.

That’s exactly what we did last season. Moving on from that seems to be the problem.

I think by the fact that he’s not been backed in this transfer window it’s nailed on he’ll be gone by Christmas

Ole will never be anything other than a romantic notion of Fergie 2.0, he simply isn’t anywhere near the required standard. Please just pull the plug on this nightmare experiment and try and salvage our season.

He should never have been given the job full time, Ed jumped the gun after the PSG result (which lets be honest we were lucky)

Now we're stuck with him, as there is no way he gets the sack anytime soon. ANOTHER season written off

The xG and xPts table at Understat is pretty brutal. Basically all that is between us and West Brom is us having played a game fewer.

Its back in the balance for me now. I thought he should be given time to rebuild, but at what cost? That type of defeat hurts clubs and players.

If a club is in transition the first thing it needs is a plan and a manager/coach who can carry out that plan. No matter the investment if the team on the pitch continue to defend naively then the plan doesn't stand a chance. The fans can complain the defenders aren't good enough but for me the tactics needed to change yesterday when the forth goal went in. Arguably before. Weren't the players listening? Were the tactics wrong? Either way Ole takes a proportion of the blame.

Unfortunately some of the blame goes right to the top and that ain't changing any time soon.

Ole should be knighted if he turns this around. I have serious doubts now. There aren't any standout candidates to replace him. Unless Klopp gets sacked.
