Ole would actually be a good DOF as he has signed reasonably well, when allowed so I'd move him on and get a proper coach in who can get the players playing well.

Signed reasonably well? Seen Maguire today? James or AWB are hardly setting the world on fire.

His subs....

Why keep Pogba on to do a defensive job? It's cost us another goal within the first 5 mins.

Get rid and he can take Shaw and Maguire with him.

Absolutely pathetic.

As a counter point to what I have been saying, somewhat backing Ole, HT changes here are criminal.

Terrible subs
Pogba on the left wing FFS.

Clueless.

But still no point changing. Glazers out!

Exactly, he absolutely has frozen our Smalling for ball playing CBs who gift goals to the opponents. Cannot believe he has managed to make our defense worse than it was. Maguire has been so pathetic in organizing a defence, cannot believe he is our captain.

I know Smalling is not the best, but he is not better than the shite we put on the pitch right now? We will have fans swarming my posts, but hey, look what's happening now.

Ole has to take responsibility for the players he bought in, his philosophy is to press from the front, push the CBs high up with attacking FBs but I really struggle to understand why he wanted both Maguire and AWB which cost £130m combined.

If the second half is the same as the first then yes it’s looking very bleak for Ole.

Everyone here realizes Ed and the Glazers are a massive problem. That doesn't mean the manager is the right person for the job.
And when we get Pochettino in or whoever else next, we’ll be having this thread top of the page again two years down the line

Ole out but the man who employed him and has made 1000 other mistakes gets to stay?

If Ole is to go then Woodward has to go too. This can't be solely pinned on Ole.

If we lose this one by more than 6, he needs to be gone. This is not Fergie. We owe him nothing. Even Valencia have some pride.

Lots have fell for it hook, line and sinker again and all looking and directing anger at Ole. Well done Ed, master class again
What you have to see is that yes we have terrible board and ownership structure but before Klopp Liverpool fans viewed FSG as exactly the same if not worse. Bringing in one of the best managers in the world would turn this around no doubt. We have good players. We do. Not title winning players, but definitely players that should i no way be performing like they have pretty mush since Southampton last season.

He’s got to go. This is the worst we’ve looked since post Fergie, and that includes the shite Moyes served up every week.

Maybe not the right game to heap blame. Ironically last week's victory was more damning that today's defeat

I love the guy but this has been the most horrific start to a season I’ve ever seen. The performances have been dire, I’ve just completely lost faith in him and the coaching team to sort out this mess. The organisation and play has been abysmal and having Sancho ain’t going to change a thing.

I know Smalling is not the best, but he is not better than the shite we put on the pitch right now? We will have fans swarming my posts, but hey, look what's happening now.
Smalling is a million miles better than what we have on the field. Yet Ole has frozen him out. Hope we sack him in time for someone to come in who can prevent our best CB currently to leave on the cheap.

Couldn't agree more.

Ole will be the fourth successive failure under Woodward and the Glaziers.

I guess that's what it comes down to in the end. We may disagree on how we get there, but the end result we all want is what's best for the club. Unfortunately, a lot of us don't think Ole is the answer. We can't pin everything on our useless board.

Aye, agreed. Both are underperforming and both should be held accountable. We do all want what's best for the club and it's unfortunate that some in here have a clear agenda and support Ole more than the club.

Made zero sense and should have been rectified at the end of that season.
Couldn’t agree more pal. But we have Woodward. Lost faith in Mourinho after giving him a mega contract and backed the players over him, and now treats Ole like his son. Joke.

The problems in defence can only be placed at the feet of the manager and the coaching staff.

It's worrying to say the least.

130m and he'll get rid of his best defender for 15m.

Us choosing Ole as manager was stupid. We barely supported top managers like Mou let alone an inexperienced manager like Ole who needs far more TLC. Honestly I supported us giving him a shot because I believed that we would surround him with experience including a DOF, a head of recruitment, experienced coaches etc.

There's alot of things that Ole did that doesn't make sense. We spent 80m on a CB with zero pace despite knowing that most of our CBs lack pace. He then bought AWB who is shit going forward when Shaw is pretty much in the same mould. James was a big waste of money as well + having a CM midfield made up of a talented but defensive inept Pogba and a slow and static Matic is asking for trouble.

Sacking the manager won't sort our problems. However sticking to Ole without probably support him is a waste of time as well. If I was Woodward I'd phone Rangnick and Mitchell tomorrow morning, possibly alongside Rene Meulensteen and get them to OT by tomorrow morning.

I agree that a better manager would improve us, that’s obvious, but who is that manager? When they come and get shafted in their second season, what then?

I agree fully with the klopp and Liverpool owners striking gold with him
