Well Mata changed the game just a few days ago - and not for the first time, because he always looks like he's making an effort, and his brain is quick if his legs aren't - so forgive me if I don't trust your judgement.

Well, if it worked a few days ago then it would’ve surely worked again tonight. It’s a shame we’ll never know for sure isn’t it?

Why is this still a thread, we are a million miles better than we where at the start of the season. Far better than we where under LVG or mourinho. I accept he probably can be criticised on the lack of subs or timing of subs but not a lot else

Not really apart from Jose's last season. He was toxic and would have destroyed the club for sure but he did win the EL and the League Cup and LVG did win the FA cup too. He should also be criticised for the lack of the art of taking corners too. He has had enough time to do that now. I personally do not think Sevilla have better players than we have. Game management is one of the most important aspects of the game. He simply does not have it or his coaches do not have it. But at the end of the day the buck stops with him.
We are not going to win any trophies under him I feel because for that to happen you need to have all aspects of the game.

Is Poch the answer? I do not believe so. I do not think he can win either. We are in this for the long haul and it maybe a long time before we win the PL or the CL. Should we get a DOF? Absolutely.

There was literally a player on the bench who changed the game against Copehnagen but he had to wait until 87th min to come on. I know it's popular to underrate our squad but c'mon, we had options on the bench who could have changed the game but we didn't even try.

Change what game we had 20+ chances before we had to go to bench.........if you think manager not reacting to bring lightweight Mata who does nothing most games, is the problem.

He not using a playstation controller playing a game. Nearly everything was spot. You saying Mata could change it is guess work at best

Poch was a whisker away from winning the biggest competition in the sport that season. Klopp got backed with hundreds of millions and Poch got none, nada, zilch. That's why he is being namedropped to manage the biggest clubs, while OGS wouldn't be able to get a job at a lower half PL club. People know who the better manager is.

There you go....perfect for Barcelona. It still took Klopp over 3 years before he started winning stuff soooo.....?

Some people on here are jokes.

Ole put out a side that had the best chances to win the game.

He’s doing a great job so far let him finish it.

This is not Sunday league. Get a football brain. The Seville coach made 4 subs before our 1. Do you think the players on his bench are better than his first team ?

It’s going to be a long season.

No it's not, going by form this year we be somewhere decent in the league........

.but you seem to think we either winning it all, or doing better.

Seriously you are really tiresome every game, no way you could have watched that game tonight and thought manager is the problem

Hold up a second aren’t you always in this thread too chatting the same rubbish but form the other side of the fence. Go luck in the mirror

Here was going to say same to you,

You seem to have a robotic fantasy football outlook on the game.

What bench, as I said we had enough chances to win 3 games, why bringing on mata games and whoever else we got in their the reason to blame the manager when the team already on had a brain fart defending.

It's our clear first 11. Another day they won that easy.

Ole out

Had maybe 10 posts max, you are on every other page no matter win or lose, every day nearly same crap, laugh on you :lol::lol:

Thanks for your input! I learnt a lot.

We do not need to be decent in the league. We need to be challenging. This is Manchester United ffs. We sacked LVG and Jose even they won trophies because they could not be seen to win the PL or the CL. Jose well he was toxic too.

Over the years I have seen managers come and go even one manager twice, for the most part all have been given time formulate their ideas and bring in the players they need for that to happen. They all have had limited success and when the board have felt that they have reached the end of the line the have been dismissed, with the exception of Sirs Matt and Alex.
Now Ole was brought in when the club was in turmoil from top to bottom, he has brought stability back to the playing side, he has managed to bring players into the club which means that they believe in his objectives for the club which in turn will enhance their playing careers. Can he progress the club I believe that he can and should be given the support of the owners and the fans to do this at least for another season.
However, he will need the assistance of the clubs scouting department to identify players of quality to enhance the present ( for a better picture The present first 11 and 2nd 11) because at present our bench players need improvement. The owners to support financially his requirements but I think the most important factor in the progress of both Ole and the team is a immediate revamp of the coaching staff, because at this present time I do not think that the present coaching staff does not have the ability to take the 1st team squad to the next level.

Blaming Ole for the loss today makes no sense at all unless you didn't watch the game and just looked up the score. We win this game 9/10 times playing like we did today but it was just one of those games where they score two from two chances and we score none despite creating loads.

My opinion is Klopp was clear about how he wanted to play and what he wanted to achieve and he did that from day one with the likes of Clyne, Sakho, Moreno. I understand the vision that Ole has, I understand he wants to play attacking football with energy, I just do not see the physical substance or the signings to fit that (apart from Bruno). You cannot compare Klopp with Ole (as much as it hurts), it's like comparing YSL to Michael Kors.

It's crazy that every manager we've had post Fergie has caused this place to have two really extreme camps who just bicker constantly!

I suppose except for Moyes really as it was fairly unanimous that he was totally out of his depth. But then again, even he had some hardcore defenders.

No way Moyes was unanimous.

Quite a few were calling for him to be given more time and let make his own signings.

Moyes, are your crazy? That was as bad as this.

Ole makes subs way too late.

Fergie had a thing about letting the opposition manager make the first sub move but Ole takes it too far and fecks us over when we're clearly knackered.

Nah, this place was split in half during the Moyes time too.

Let’s be honest. We’re the 3rd or 4th best in the Premier League and we just lost to the 3rd or 4th best in Spain in a one off semi final, which most people would say was underserved.
Ole is still learning too I’m sure, he’s going to make mistakes. Pep with all his experience just lost a one off game to a team that finished 7th in a much worse league than La Liga.
You are totally correct.
Sadly being honest about OGS is something the OleOut mafia find very difficult to do.

Ah ok fair enough. I don't recall him having the same level of support as the likes of LvG, Ole and Jose. But maybe my memory is hazy as I just try block out the Moyes era and pretend it never happened.

Me too. It got to a stage I forgot he managed us. But Fergie’s words of stick behind your manager resonated and still does. It will always be 50/50 here. No matter what.

It is ridiculous to compare with Klopp. He had won the Bundesliga with Dortmund. He was more like SAF at Aberdeen before he came to United.

The only thing Ole lovers do here is come here and insult other posters. Pathetic attitude. If Ole's people are snowflakes and cant see other posters criticizing him, then they should keep out of this thread.
Were you expecting toffee and cake?

Not much else supporters of Manchester United can respond with to people who continually slate our manager while claiming to be fans

I wasn't comparing Klopp with Ole. Just making the simple point that with all the best intentions, it can still take time to realise your vision. People were holding a 4th place finish as an absolute minimum by which Solskjaer would be judged this season. Well he achieved that. Still not good enough. He's improved several players and cleared out a lot of deadwood....still not good enough. Liverpool wouldn't be where they are if they binned Klopp after 2 years.

We came up short in 3 semis this season. Yeah we could have done better. But then again so could Guardiola, Rodgers, Mourinho, Arteta, Lampard. They're not all going to get sacked are they?

Why not? We want the best for our club and if some think the manager is not good enough then they have a right to say so.

Moyes, are your crazy? That was as bad as this.
Don’t remember Moyes getting third and us to three semi finals

Not that that’s anything to shout about but progress is progress and we can’t have what we want without it.

Ole will be backed and given at least one more season.

Are you still beating yourself silly to a picture of Poch eh?

I don't think they do. Plenty have just double downed, hoping one day they can say they were right.

I don't classify such as 'supporters' because they don't support at all, and instead are hell bent on creating a toxic atmosphere around the club.

I wasn’t talking about Ole or Poch. What’s with these random outbursts.

You need a reason to feel like the manager isn't good enough though surely?
We haven't got SAF anymore, we have to settle for less, and One is certainly the best so far,
Give him time and let's see where her takes us.
You are the small minority that feel entitled to success, let me put it to you bluntly, we are not entitled. We have to work for it. Get used to it.

Sorry, I try to avoid these threads when they are inevitably bumped after a loss.

I usually see you in here cheerleading for Poch or just the general demise of our manager.

You probably were but I can’t be bothered trawling through this knee jerk mess of a thread. I’ll leave you to it.

Very true. Some don’t realise how long it takes to claw back 6 years of mediocrity in top flight football. As the pundits tonight said, it took Klopp five years and nobody on the forum claims Ole is better than Klopp, but he’s the best we’ve had and we are heading in the right direction.

The weaker and entitled fan demands success, as if we had peak Sir Alex at the helm.

To them there is always somebody better and the grass is forever greener.

Why not? We want the best for our club and if some think the manager is not good enough then they have a right to say so.
The thread is sack him now or keep him. People need to put forward good arguments for sacking him or they'll rightly get called out for it. Saying stuff like 'anyone Ole in is part of a cult' , 'he's the worst manager in the league', 'PE teacher', 'clueless', doesn't really cut it.

It's also not the 'do we think Ole can win the league with us?' thread which is a completely different question to the title.
