Yeah, he's not at fault for you not scoring but he's at fault for not changing after that period of dominance when Sevilla were getting back into the game - about 5 or 10 mins before they scored.
He should have made changes, but it does seem like he genuinely believes in tired quality over fresh shit.

He got us 3rd, wouldn't contemplate sacking him.

This is our 71st game of the season(I think?) It's just too much and too long of a season.

It's not Ole's fault that we are losing today.
We were all over them and should have had another goal or 3. Their goal came out of a chance that shouldn't have been anything if Lindelöf was even semi-competent.
Shooting straight at the keeper repeatedly screams of poor coaching tbf. Not necessarily Ole's fault, but it's something that should be fixed on the training ground.

Pretty unforgivable that his lack of a reaction in game has cost us again.

I am positive when it’s merited, but worrying signs have crept back in again.

Maybe he just needs better options from the bench, but maybe he just doesn’t have the tactical nous and game management to win trophies.

Ive always supported Ole - but not now. There's something seriously wrong when he can see nothing is working in a Cup semi and doesn't bring on a sub until the 86th minute - and not using Ighalo is criminal in my opinion, and senseless.

If he can't sort out our pressing and ability to retain possession against all levels of opposition soon I will want a change. Our football is heavily reliant on individuals bailing us out and penalties. Still, after nearly two years. It's not good enough.

In-game management, subs are shite. Throwing a sink at them at 88th minute is plain useless. Sevilla's manager won the game with his subs, Ole lost it. Not enough proactive when it matters.

It's quite obvious he's not good enough. Anyone who thinks otherwise is blinkered.

Oh please on another day we win this game. We’ve played well and showed our football against a quality European team.

They had two chances, scored on both of them. /thread

He's done and he'll do a lot of good here but he isn't the man.

This is as good as you will ever get from Solskjær. He will never be a top manager.

Couple of years from now... we will look back and regret this time... when a world class manager like Poch was available and we insisted on continuing with Ole.

Should have won the game but feck me the timing of subs are terrible as always and it's not improving at all.

That's a poor excuse considering they didn't play for weeks and weeks on end. Its not as if they've played that many games consecutively.

His next challenge is turning these lads into winners. It’s plain as day he’s not happy with our squad depth.

We really have pathetic fans. We created enough chances to score 5 goals - we didn't and Sevilla stole the game.

As I've mentioned before. We are not going to win anything with him. He sure is a club legend and the players seem to like him but as a manager I don't think he has what is needed

I think we actually had decent tactics today.

However, I have to disagree with the comment about number of games. This would be true in a normal season but we've had the luxury to play the same schedule as the other PL teams. I seriously doubt we'd have made the EL semifinal and got 3rd in a normal schedule given how easily this team falls off fitness-wise.

As for today, OGS really displayed his lack of in-game management. Even world class players need more than 2 minutes on the pitch to make a difference. Rashford should have been off at halftime and so should Williams. Fosu-Mensah showed he can provide the defensive solidity when needed and he should have subbed Williams who's only a kid in his first season.

This. The difference in performance between this and the last time we played Sevilla is night and day. Result and scoreline was the same, but on another day we could have won it with the chances we had. Contrast to the last time we played them where the same game could have been played over and over again and the result wouldn't have changed.

The fact that he doesnt trust the bench players is on his inability to get anything from players of a lower calibre. We're not playing an elite team here, its Sevilla. Awful performance again this season, one we've seen so many times this season. We're going nowhere under his leadership. People keep pointing to 3rd but it was a literal struggle all season and he was heavily bailed out by Bruno Fernandes and penalties.

3 semi final losses in a row, now. Is that an indication that the players are decent, but the tactics to get through at the very end of competitions is missing? Or are we just the nearly men? With a few missing pieces?

I’m leaning on the former, though I do think another window is justified.

His reaction after the lost chances was inexcusable, the team basically stopped playing and there was nothing coming from him to change the game.

Jeez - Pochettino. How many trophies did he win ?
