True, just like with two of the most experienced and succesfull managers of all time we would have won plenty of trophies. Its just.. that.. we didn't. They both failed at almost everything while managing Manchester United.

Well we did win cups under them and we’re heading to relegation zone with Ole. You reap what you saw.

If Solskjaer was given £500 million to spend in January and £1 billion to spend in the summer, do you think we would play good football next season?
I don't believe we would and that's why I want him sacked immediately.

At the moment, I'm not too sure about how good we're going to play, but I'm pretty sure we would bring in some good players. This journey with Solskjaer looks more and more like a prolonged care-taker job, and as long as we don't bring in rubbish on a high salary, there's still hope for us.

Who were the rotten players on the pitch today? I just saw players that are poorly coached and don't know how to attack as a collective.

Most of the squad ole inherited are all about the financial gains and not success on the pitch, as a man not motivated by money I think he is the best man to weed them out.

Pierara driving a fecking Bentley before he has done anything, Phil Jones contract extensions for mediocrity, jlingz and his brand. It’s rotten.

This would make sense if the side was creating chances for the back up striker, only for them to fluff their lines.

Or if we were getting into good positions but just lacking the final ball.

Neither of which are happening.

Martial is not an out and out striker. He contributes to our build up play a lot. Him and Pogba have a good connection and play off one another just like when they combined and won a penalty against wolves. Also Martial has that coolness in front of goal unlike any of our players and his hold up play is great. We would seriously be 4-5 more pints ahead in the League with Martial.

Jose deserved more of a chance than Ole does, and Jose had to go. But at least he had a track record of success at a high level.

Agree but Jose went because he wanted to, he went into self destruct mode, he wasn’t trying to win.

What is exactly the reason to have faith in Ole? He has showed absolutely nothing to warrant that faith.

The start he had, clearing out some deadwood, the 3 signings so far, not shitting on the club in the press, club legend so deserves some respect, will always give youth a proper chance and has only had 7 league games in a full season.

I know we are getting used to sackings but do we know encourage it?

I went through the early fergie years pal, it’s called faith for a reason.

It’s not blind faith either, I wanted moyes gone very early, happy LVG went and celebrated Jose going. I would be ashamed of the club I follow if they took the easy route and blamed Ole for the mess he has inherited.

Faith for the sake of it though

Fergie was a proven manager, he’d won leagues and European trophies with Aberdeen.

It currently looks like we could give Ole Mbappe and Messi and we’d still be shite.

The difference for me when comparing Ole to previous managers is just how clueless we look. Fair enough if you didn’t like LvG and Jose’s system but they did have a system and way of playing. This United team look like they aren’t even coached.

Doesn't take a genius to work out that Ole is clearly out of his depth. Those who want him to stay on, what exactly do you think he's going to do?!

Should be sacked now.

Woodward is too much of a clown and will leave it too late again.

This is a good point

The one thing that is constant in football is results determine everything.

If we keep on this path that we have been on since the PSG game for the next few months he will absolutely be gone.

How is he a bad manager? Tottenham actually play good football... You know, the thing we don't do.
We have Ole in charge you realise that right? Glass houses and all that.

Never won anything despite having plenty of chances to do so. Their football isn't that good to watch either, especially considering their squad.

Sack. With a heavy heart.

Obvious now the players got him the job when the shackles were off, the more time he's had to work with the players the worse we've got. I don't think you could pick a better reason to sack a manager than that.

I'd give Poch the rebuild job.

Until the season is completely fecked, the board won't act. Bunch of clowns running the club along with an oversmiling fraud on the sidelines.

Love and respect Ole the player, not so the manager.

What do people think will improve once we give Ole a full better squad? Is there any style of play implemented on the pitch to think it just needs better players to click? Do people who want him to stay really see this on the pitch? That the only thing we are missing are different players to unleash Ole's play style?

Yep. We’ll wait until it’s too late again & another season & more time will be wasted.

Yet the majority still want Ole here. Unbelievable

Sack but whoever we bring in must be given a chance to invest in their vision otherwise we're here again in a season or so.

My original thought on him getting the job permanent came with a big asterisk next to it saying that the club be restructured to accompany a DoF and/or technical directors, because 1) his experience is still low at this level and would need all the help he can get to offset that and 2) if he does fail (which he’s doing now) then at least we’ve got a more suitable infrastructure in place to make appointing his replacement more seemless.

The board seem to have fecking lied about that whole DoF business, as they didn’t do it, so now we’re left with an inexperienced guy filling the SAF shaped hole that STILL hasn’t been changed since 2013, even though there is no one who can fulfill that role.

The basic requirements of any manager should be they can get a team playing coherently and get individual players to improve. I’m not seeing any game plan 10 months in (even with two transfer windows passing) and a pre season and I’m counting zero players who have noticeably improved under OGS... McTominay possibly at a push.

I agree it’s not been great to watch but I think we should have beat arsenal on Monday, again a decision killed us much like tonight (though I don’t think we would have deserved it) it would help if our £100m superstar stood up now and again and made a difference or Martial got his lazy arse of the physio table.

If they churn up results and performances like Ole, they shouldn't get a chance.

You need to SHOW something to earn time.

Agree with what you're saying 100%.

Think you've misinterpreted the comment. OgS has never been good enough, he isn't in need of time nor investment.

It's getting comical at this point.

The writing has been on the wall for months now.

We are clueless as we were under Moyes. Can't score like we did under Van Gaal and serve up shit on a stick football like under Jose.

Literally combines the 3 worst aspects of our previous managers, but apparently if he gets more time/more players in, he'll finally be able to unleash 'Oleball'

It's fecking stupid and infuriating reading posts like that.

He should be sacked immediately.

Separate Ole the player from Ole the manager ffs. He was a great player. He is a SHIT manager.

So we count the start he had but don't count the finish he had to last season? Fact is, the longer he has been a manager the worse we got and we haven't even reached the bottom yet. Giving him more time is basically giving up on the season already.

I also really don't get this ridiculous idea from the caftards here. We've seen newly promoted sides play great football with much worse squads. We haven't shown even glimpses of that after a full preseason and some extra six months. Where exactly is it going to come from? I know it's not this coaching staff. That much has been made clear.

I would still keep although its not looking good admittedly.

For Ole's sake, nothing other than a convincing win against Newcastle will suffice.

Season has gone regardless, those players threw the towel in towards the end of last season. When has our superstar midfielder shined since that initial run?

Exactly. The guy is tactically inept. We aren't doing anything on the pitch that resembles a style of play. If there was, most fans would have been more patient.

The squad is crap but doesn't negate the idea that Ole is a poor manager and a terrible coach.

Why did Solskjaer decide to buy a CB, a RB and a LW when we were stacked in the CB, RB and LW departments?
I don't object to us signing Maguire and Wan-Bissaka, I just want to know why he didn't start the rebuild by signing, for example, a CM, LB and RW instead.

We’re in a total mess.

Ole probably needs to go but who the hell do we get in until the end of the season? If we bring in an experienced manager they are likely to line us up with Matic, Mata and Ashley Young in the hope experience will see us win more games than we lose (which to be fair it might). That’s not what any Utd fan wants to see and I’d rather us finish bottom half of the table than see those players showcase their tumescent football on our pitch anymore.

utter, utter mess. Thank god for Maguire, AWB, James, McT and De Gea’s new contract otherwise I think we’d be staring down the barrel of relegation, the others are that bad.

...sack? Absolutely not. Ole will go when he feels the time is right. He knows better than anyone on this forum what problems there are at the club and I believe he's doing what he can to sort things out. He's not the worlds best manager, and he's not a miracle worker. What are you going to do by sacking him...? You'll make the club look even more stupid. You'll be disrespecting a club legend. You'll be once again upsetting the apple cart...

There's a few people in the caff that could do with taking themselves a little less seriously and just try to get behind the team.

The kind of comment that looks measured and positive but is actually the real issue with what's going on at the club outside of the board. Your reasons for not sacking Ole are making the club 'look more stupid', 'disrespecting a legend' and 'upsetting the apple cart'. None of them have anything to do with what actually matters which is what's happening on the pitch. We are blinded by sentiment and nostalgia.

Season has gone regardless, those players threw the towel in towards the end of last season. When has our superstar midfielder shined since that initial run?
Season has not gone yet if we act quickly. If we stick with Ole, it's 100% gone. When has any of our players shined since that initial run? Many of them regressed with Ole in charge, he hasn't improved a single player.

The idea of clearing deadwood and the signing of good players in their prime is great. The manager is wrong. There isn't even that glimmer of hope. Changed to sack please.

I think he will be gone by the weekend, I’ve got no faith in the situation turning round even with new owners and ceo.

Even a clown like Woodward can see this heading for a bigger disaster than Mourinho.

That the only think we are missing are different players to unleash Ole's play style?

There is nothing to unleash, he doesn’t have any play style whatsoever. There is zero creativity and even less structure, coupled with poor technical execution of set pieces and crosses.

I agree, which is why I am on the fence about it. Sacking him will not make any difference IMO, possibly a short term uptick, but without a decent support structure, every manager is set up to fail. We need a DoF, club coaching structure and the best footballing coaches, a club footballing vision. We pay top dollar for the allegedly best in their respective fields and we (the fans) expect the best performances. We are getting far from that. It appears we overpay for mediocrity and unfulfilled promise.
