He is a leech, just like the owners. He will not resign, he has no self respect, shameless and is here for the money, if he has one bit of love to the club he resigns.
feck off. As much as I don't want him as a manager of united, show some fecking respect. Prick

Solskjaer isn’t the main problem, but Woodward will need to deflect from himself, so Solskjaer won’t last long
It's the opposite. This is Woodward's worst appointment to date, by a country mile. He can't be seen to have appointed a third failure, so he'll stick with Ole until we're in danger of relegation, to save his own neck.

Surely we're entering the epilogue of the OGS reign on the back of this defeat. Although the management of Rashford is a much, much worse sin than this result.

The fact he threw on Shaw and Lingard to try and turn it around reeks of desperation... yes bring on the 27 year old attacking midfielder whose just gone an entire calendar year without a league goal or assist.
What option did he have?

If you don't want rid of Ole at this point you're not a United fan. End of.

Same goes for Woodward and for the Glazers, of course.

What a stupid comment. We're not 12. If you don't .... then you're not a true fan.

This is as stupid as people saying : If you want Ole sacked you're not a true fan.

People have the right to have different opinions. Nobody is an expert here. We are all fans giving our opinions and nobody is 100% right or wrong.

He wont be sacked and he shouldn't be so this thread is a total waste of time
Why shouldn’t he be sacked? Literally every single top team in Europe would have sacked Solskjær months ago.

He’s not good enough and never will be. The board has backed itself into a ridiculous corner by appointing a club legend as manager.

Burnley obviously have a better squad than us, nothing anyone can do. All depends on Ed to deliver in the transfer market.

He has been dealt a shit hand. But so have most of the PL managers. There are basics that every shit club works on, that should be visible but he doesn't notice or can't teach.

A forward run to the near post, in front of the first defender who always gets the ball.
How to defend set pieces.
How to score from set pieces.
How to move without the ball.
How to rest players when injured, how to work recently injured players into the team.

He's a failed Cardiff manager, coupled with a failed Hull manager whisked away from semi-retirement in Australia.
There is nothing to suggest he knows how to keep up with the best coaches today.

It will, we might get a gaffer in who has a black book of players that will be perfect stop gaps. Ole doesn't have these as everything has to be 100% right, for the future.

A top manager obviously makes a difference to any team @Leftback99 unless you're actually saying a manager has no effect? In which case explain to me how they actually do all the time with the same squad. And maybe what we desperately need right now is a manager who ca think about both the long AND short term.
You think the Woodward is going to come up with the funds for 'stop gaps'? No chance.

He 100% has to go.

I wouldn't sack him now, because this season is a write-off.

But in the summer, he's got to go.
The quality of teams fighting for 4th position is atrocious. A proper manager now can still get us top 4. Just look at Leicester; a team that has finished behind us all seasons but one is comfortably top 4, just due to changing one piece of the puzzle.

Surely our worst manager post Sir Alex? Statistic will tell you that. But he has given us a better dressing room atmosphere and foundation for Pochettino to build on.

Ole can apply his trade at a lower club like Cardiff before he is ready to step up to the next level.
He might be our worst manager pre-SAF as well.

Just let it go already, he deserves the sacking and anybody who can't see it needs some lenses.
He is so out of his depth it is unbelievable.
The less said about the management above him the better.

I've changed my stance. He has to go. That was embarrassing, schooled by a fecking team that could hardly get a shot on target against us last month.

I believe he needs to go. People are slating Woodward and the Glazers but the truth is that teams with way less budget than us are playing better football.

After the fist 2-3 honeymoon months, we have not progressed as a team at all. Yes, the injuries have been partly to blame but just counting on 1-2 moments of brilliance every game is not a solid plan.

I`d be all for keeping him if only there were any signs of an actuall game plan and tactical focus but this is simply a mess.

Kneejerk hypocrites the lot of you.

Most of you were waxing lyrical about him after beating Spurs and City.

I said he should stay till the end of the season then (no kneejerk), and still maintain that now.

We're not getting top 4, but the transfer window is nearly over now so I'd wait till the end of season before making a managerial change.

Oh and less of the 'send this fraud back to Molde' talk. The blokes clearly not a capable managing a club of this size but he's still a club legend, have some respect.

Seems many on here are opening their eyes finally. It’s cool. Keep the votes coming. Sadly, it isn’t his fault he isn’t good enough.

His mistakes is not tactics or formation or anything. It's the fact that he got rid of everyone without replacement in a 50+ game season. Poor planning.

It amazes me that some fans still think none of this shit is Solskjaers fault and all down to the squad strength. It's like saying Burnley have better players than us? A top class manager would be able to get better results with this squad. Not title challengers but top 4 at least. Blaming the board and owners but supporting Solskjaer also does not make sense. New owners would come in and immediately remove an inexperienced coach such as he is. They would want a top class manager running a club such as United. If you are Ole in then you really can't be Glazers out cos they seem to be supporting this hapless Norwegian come what may. New owners would sack him immediately.

Needs to resign if he claims to have any "respect" for our club
No he does not respect the club or "himself". Any respected "legend" should have resigned by now, but he will not. How will he leave millions behind him?

How can you blame a manager after this shocking performance of the offensive?
It was shocking. We should have been up 2 or 3:0.
Blaming the manager for players missing tap-ins is ridicolous
It isn't an isolated incident.

It's the opposite. This is Woodward's worst appointment to date, by a country mile. He can't be seen to have appointed a third failure, so he'll stick with Ole until we're in danger of relegation, to save his own neck.
And then who hires the next manager...?

The ownership and Woodward are definitely the problem

“I’m embarrassed,” says Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport. “I’m embarrassed to be here. They’ve spent £600m on players in recent years and I don’t see it out there. What's to show for it here? You can’t defend this? Young kids in schools around the country aren’t going to want to wear Man United shirts or come here and watch this. It’s embarrassing.”

Bull f*cking shit. Many of us have been unwavering in our view that he should never have been appointed permanently, clearly isn't good enough, and should have been sacked before now.

The thing I'm concerned about is that I, a non-football professional, can see we're poorly coached. We see players making bad decisions, playing the wrong ball, not recognising the dummy run, not recognising the correct build up approach because there's no pattern of play coached into us except for counter-attack. Mata is trying his best, but hes on a different wavelength to the guys feeding him - mainly the full backs in this system, and they're looking past him, or in a different direction too much when he drops off into space in the hole. There's no point just putting a system onto a piece of paper if you dont try and coach it and it just doesn't look like they're set up with a real plan when we have the ball.

Burnley obviously have a better squad than us, nothing anyone can do. All depends on Ed to deliver in the transfer market.

They have a better manager and despite what many on here think, that makes a helluva difference.

It is a stupid comment but I don't even care.

There's no valid reason for wanting Ole to get more time, unless you're a City or Liverpool fan enjoying our demise.

Yes Woodward has to get the feck away from the football side of the club, and yes the Glazers are rotten, but that doesn't change how many leagues out of his depth Ole is here.

Yea I'm sold, can't see us progressing or going anywhere with this guy at the helm. Enough us enough

Give it to Carrick until the end of the season while we negotiate with Pochettino.
Why not get Pochettino now? We still have a few things to fight for, don't want any United ex player close to the club please.
Carrick is just sat there lifeless.

Load of rubbish. This thread has consistently had over 60% of voters saying he should be sacked for months. We didnt even want him appointed full time despite a good first few weeks in the honeymoon period.

37% win rate

And we're not even playing good football either. What's the fecking point in persisting with him?

And then who hires the next manager...?

The ownership and Woodward are definitely the problem
They are definitely *A* problem. So is the manager. We aren't getting rid of the owners or Ed anytime soon. So let's get rid of their idiotic appointment and hope that some sense is employed before appointing the next person.

It is... I've gone from feeling anger to being sad, honestly have. It's so bad...

Times up, he's got to go. He needs to do the right thing and walk away.
