What the hell is this rubbish.

You lot wanting to keep an awful manager who wouldn’t be hired by many Championship clubs are making it worse for the club. He hasn’t created any sort of identity, it’s our worse start in 30 years, it’s boring.

I mean how clueless do you have to be to keel supporting such a shite manager?

In an era where other clubs are competing with us we need the best manager we can get. Look at Leicester and you can see they’ve hired a manager who knows what he’s doing & creating an identity quickly.

Then look at us. A total mess & the MAJORITY of fans want to keep him. It’s utterly Insane

Insane is changing the manager... again. Who? Well, we already had two CL winning managers try and fail to bring a league title. Let’s bring in Eddie Howe!

The reason the majority of fans want to keep Ole is we are adults who understand the game. We know that keeping Lukaku and Sanchez would not have changed this squad from mid table to title contenders. We understand that fundamental change takes time. We are willing to sacrifice short term 4th and 5th place finishes for a *chance* at building a new dynasty. Is Ole the right man for the job? I’m not sure. But the pack of mercenaries your lot want to bring in will need to win now. We’ll end up spending time and money on Schweinsteigers, Falcaos, Di Marias, Sanchez’s, Rojos, and Lukakus who won’t bring us any closer to a title.

I still wanna know why he started so well but now we suck again? We should have been getting better since the honeymoon, not worse. And despite our team being mediocre, why is it that other worser teams on paper seem to be coached better and play actual football?

I completely agree the squad is not good at all, but I think they should be able to do better with a better manager..

Ole is a club legend, but as a manager, he’s not good at all.

I voted sack, top 4 still achievable with a better manager since we’re only few points away from it, we gotta take advantage of Arsenal and other top 4 contenders being bad as well, and we shouldn’t waste another season like last one and miss out on top 4..

If there was some improvement, then I would say keep, but it’s hard to see any improvement, even with our shit squad, there has to be some improvements.. we still have decent-good players on our squad to play better than what we have been seeing.. As clueless as the board is, they need to act quick and try for top 4, if we miss out again, we’ll be in deeper trouble next season even with a better manager because Pogba would go for sure, and we might not be able to bring better players..

Because they have actual managers.

Astoundingly stupid logic.

If LVG & Jose failed (despite winning things & getting top 4) then how is Ole getting on?

A man who failed at Cardiff will bring on our new dynasty. I mean words fail me- it’s our worse start in 30 years. As an adult who understands the game you realise how shite that is?

It's not the manager. We had one of the best managers last season. He saw that the only way to get anywhere with this squad was to park the bus and not concede. Ole has come in and wants to attack, and he is starting to realize that when we go toe to toe with teams, we are too easily matched. At least 70% of the teams in the PL are on a par with us. Ashley Young is our captain, and he wouldn't get a game for Bournemouth. Let that fact sink in for a few seconds.

Unsurprisingly all the oppos that 'aren't WUMS' have voted 'Keep'.
That’s always the best way to gauge the progress. If you asked any of us would you like City to sack Pep or Liverpool to sack Klopp, I am sure we would have absolute majority to vote yes because we know how good these managers are and we don’t want to see our rivals doing well. I bet our rivals wanna see Ole in charge for the foreseeable future cause they know we won’t be any threat to them.

Because he couldn't deliver the CL trophy they're so desperate for, lost two finals. Surely you'll agree that United have different objectives right now - like qualifying for CL, and stopping the freefall into midtable (or worse).

I'd prefer "progressive", "attacking" trendy manager from Bundesliga, but we can't afford to gamble and see them crumble under pressure. Allegri is by far the best option right now, while the season can still be salvaged.

As an avid Serie A follower, I'm not sold on Allegri. He's neither Sarri nor Conte and I'm not even sure he can speak the language.

How long have you even “supported” United? If this rebuild is too difficult for you to stomach, go support City or Liverpool. Or better yet, Tottenham. We really don’t need half drunk gits who have never kicked a ball, much less had anything remotely intelligent to say.

Keep. This is a big rebuilding project and if it works maybe we're the dominant team in a few years. Ole's got the right idea to build using youth, passion, and hopefully getting top drawer talent. If you don't have the stomach for the rebuild maybe become a city fan or something. Sacking mid-rebuild is a terrible idea.

Its not enough to have the right idea to build from youth, passion and top talent. I'm sure any manager would want to do that and all fans.

More importantly is asking....are these young players ready or do they need to work with experience so they don't carry the burden and pressure alone (i.e. rashford who is still learning but gets huge flack here).

Another question is, is the youth genuinly that good i.e. perreira. All well and good wanting to build with youth but very few make it. Does ole have the ability to not overrate them? I dont know.

Passion is also great but passione without talent doesnt mean anything.

Wanting top talent is obvious but actually, does he want top talent or does it have to fit into his narrative of what he wants to Recruit. Many good midfielders were available but he didnt make a move.

Lots of people go on about his successful transfers but really, objectively, how good have they been? Macguire has been ok but nothing revelatory.

Wan bissaka will be a player but we need full backs to be able to attack and he isnt yet there. He needs coaching....does ole know how to do that because in 10 months i havent seen any improvement in individuals.

Finally im not sure on James. Yes hes done ok but hes not great. He has been better than expected for a purchase from the championship but is he what United should be aiming for. He is very raw and not much beyond pace at times. A good squad option. No more.

Finally back to your point about building youth and talent with passion. Ole looks lost coaching an identity of play. Its well and good buiying and promoting but he has to mix that into something good and at the moment its sorely lacking.

How long have you even “supported” United? If this rebuild is too difficult for you to stomach, go support City or Liverpool. Or better yet, Tottenham. We really don’t need half drunk gits who have never kicked a ball, much less had anything remotely intelligent to say.
Sounds like you’re on a coke binge, sober up and come back when you stop acting like a complete pompous tit.
People who tell others who to support should seriously feck off.

Ole knows he has a big job in front of him sorting out a miss-mash of a squad that he inherited, that's why he will sink or swim playing kids, the three new buys he's made and maybe one or two old stalwarts like Young and Jones. The rest are not fit (Matic now), or beyond their best, or are too much up their own a***s for him to worry about; he will go with those he can influence as a squad, it will take time and he will become unpopular with many fans and a few players who think they will be harshly treated.

The owners and Ed Woodward will I suspect go with him, because they really have no choice, Ole is their fourth attempt to replace SAF, but I suspect any half decent established manager will now see us as a 'poisoned chalice'. If it gets too bad then the spectre of appointing a DoF will return, but that will be plan 'B', and it will be in order to rescue the owners/Ed and not necessarily to help Ole.

When is it? Worse start in 50? Or the big 100?

In actuality, we're doing slightly better than last year when comparing apples to apples (i.e. results from same fixtures).

rCPxhZf.png

We drew Arsenal both seasons
We beat Chelsea vs drawing last year +2
We lost to CP vs drawing last year -1
We beat Leicester both seasons
We drew Soton both seasons
We lost to West Ham both seasons
We drew with Woves, lost last season +1

Our team's performance is shit, but I never expected to go from 66 points last year to 96 this year- that's unrealistic and it will set you up for disappointment. If we can get to mid 70's and top 4 and continue the clearout/buildout in the summer, this would have been a good season. Can Ole deliver that, I'm not writing the guy off yet, and I'm not certain the various other options touted would.

“Fans” like you is the real cause of our downfall. Not Ed, not Glazers but idiots like you.

So being a good guy is a skill to become Manchester United manager now?

The reasons to keep him are become more hysterical every match that passes in our worst start in 30 years.

How about we keep him as he keeps his garden tidy or tips the paper boy well at Xmas.

You’ve got to be kidding me.

Being a good guy has nothing to do with why I don’t think this is the moment to sack him. I’m one of his hardest critics on this board but today I separate my feelings from a quick fix answer. I don’t believe in him as a coach but this question involves more then coaching abilities. I hope you respect this and accept that sometimes in life there is no magic solution in a complex situation.

Ok let’s stop bringing up Cardiff despite all of his faults at Cardiff clearly repeating themselves at United. Also yes let’s all believe that Ole took a job in the EPL in the summer, as a favour for a friend of a friend, and went in knowing he’d get relegated. Obviously had nothing to do with his crap signings, poor management, and none existent coaching .... the crap people come out with to defend a legend.

Ole’s time at Cardiff. Very similar to what’s happening at United.

Maybe if you get some spare time you can research the clubs Ole turned down whilst at Molde, and why, and for his signings at Cardiff of those that weren't free transfers all of them are still at the club, so yeah one of us talking crap, just don't look in a mirror any time soon or you might find out which one of us it is.

Compulsive liar.
Come of it.

Ole: "I will build the team around Pogba" Plays him in his worst position.

Ole: " Mason is the best finisher at the club"
Hasn't started one competitive game irrespective of injuries. Best finisher at the club but playing right wing.

Ole" Faith in youth"
Garner, Gomes and Chong no pivotal starts.
Williams has a good game in the cup dropped the next game. Axel has outplayed Lindlelof this season and not starting over him.

Ole on his identification of a style of play "It's playing forward, running forward, chasing back, winning the ball back"
Has placed all emphasis on sitting off and hitting teams on the counter, one dimensional football which doesn't give us the foundation to score goals. Dropped playing a high press to accommodate the stagnant football we are witnessing.

I'm certainly not advocating the manager to be sacked right now at this given second. But I am fully behind getting rid of Ole end of the season and within the time finding a viable improvement (which isnt hard) to lead the club forward.

You sound so intelligent there. Well done

Put a young pep klopp saf mourinho on that cardiff team they'll get europa at least.

Great managers shine wherever they go. Bad managers has excuses ready.

New managers will always take a job from a sacked manager (in a rare case its retiring), no managers got a ready made well oiled team to run. It's their job to make the best of what they have and create a sum greater than their parts.

If you obtained a 6th place team, get them finishing 4th. If you obtained a relegation battler, get them to safety. No manager got a blank season in the name of rebuild.

Other teams rebuild, infact every team that doesnt have a fountain of youth have to rebuild constantly. Some teams are more extreme than others when it comes to rebuilt but that doesnt mean razing everything and build from 0.

A rebuilt phase as shown by our own saf is period of sustained performance even when not challenging for title. His rebuilt isnt rampant, it's calculated. Who and when to axe is well timed. Ole seems to have no sort of plan. He either axe too soon or blood the youngster too soon.

Going into the season with a barebone squad because he thinks clearing deadwoods is a tough sign the fans would love is naive.

Voted keep because I don't want Ole sacked.
He does look out of his depth managing the club but assuming things dont improve significantly soon, Im hoping for a move upstairs or he simply resigns.

What a whole load of stupid this is.

You used a lot of words with no real meaning describing Oles ‘talents’ there .

Also maybe you should go off & support a mid table team like Burnley or West Ham if you’re happy with the drivel being served up to us
I see you're the type of poster who just hurls insults. Have it at then. Not going to engage with you.

I don't disagree with you much, but I think objectively, the 3 signings have been some of the best players this season. Think about that. One is from the Championship. We lack quality. We also lack desire from some of the players, many of whom Ole has shipped out due to these two issues. This is a big ship and it isn't going to turn around in an instant.

Sack, even Moyes's tenure was more entertaining than the rubbish served under Solskjear, his football is by far the worst of all the managers we have had post fergie, even during Mourinho's toxic spell in the 3rd season we were still better to watch and showing character to come from behind to win matches in the last minutes of the matches, we will never see a comeback under Ole like we did this time last year against Newcastle under Mourinho, we are totally uninspiring under Ole.

What in the actual fook?

Chong has played more than his fair share, and he stunk the effing place. He's played too much, not too little.
Gomes has been injured/ill a couple of matches when he could have started. He's gotten a few starts though.
And Mason, started 2 consecutive matches despite being 17-year old. You can't put that much burden on such a young player lest you want to shatter him with expectations.

6 years of utter shite football with a smattering of trophies here and there and you want that trend to continue.

It's like our fans never learn.

You’re funny. We’ve just hired Moyes 2.0 talking about another long term project. But I’m the one not learning...

Look in the mirror.

I’m slightly happier with Moyes 2.0 summer signings that Moyes 1.0 summer signing.

Would have expected sack to be higher than 39.6% from reading the threads on here.

I'd keep him and wait until we can bring in more of the players he wants unless things gets drastically worse. I don't trust his coaching capabilities, but the squad looks light especially in attack which is where we are struggling.

I think Ole is out of his depth and hasnt improved us at all and was a mistake. I would sack, but we have bigger problems above him which need sorting first. I just dont think those changes would change my opinion on Ole.

Theres probably better managers available, but this squad is still going to finish about 6th at best. And were still going to keep coming up with genius plans like selling an 80m striker and replacing them with a 17 year old so it barely matters. There's feck all point in changing things while woodward is deciding who they're replaced with.

I never mentioned anything about a long-term project or Solskjaer. What on earth are you talking about?

Allegri will provide the same shit on a stick football we've had for the last 6 years. The same (correct) reasons for sacking Van Gaal and Mourinho despite them winning trophies.

And you want to go down that road again.
