That would be the one and only Steve Davis

Very disappointed for Trump he really lit up the tournament and it hurt seeing Higgins lift the trophy after all the revelations about him this year
 
This all leaves a bad taste.

It's a shame the powers that be are so keen to sweep the whole mess under the carpet.

The levels of hyperbole at this years championship was ridiculous, the amount of times I heard "best pot ever", "greatest match" etc was quite annoying and blatantly not true, don't know if they've been told to sexy up the game with exaggerated desctiptions but it has to stop.

That said can you really argue that John Higgins isn't one of the all time greatest players?
 
The impressive thing about Higgins is he seems to be just as good at 36, maybe even better than ever. We've seen some players who at that stage have already dropped off, but he's waited 9 years after winning his first world title in 1998 and has now picked up three in five seasons.

yes you can , he forfeit the right to be thought f one of the greats when he was caught cheating.
 
Gutted, expected to come on here and lambast Higgins but fair play to the fella.. that was such strong mentality under pressure, cheat or not.. this fella is tough as granite.

Trump what a performance regardless of the result, hopefully this match'll spur him on.. hope he doesn't lose his attacking side but instead improves on the positional side of his break building and tightens up his safety play. I expect him to win the masters or the UK next year and go on from there.

Higgins is the best player on the planet, and everyone knwos it.

hes going to get another 3-4 world titles if he wants..
