I don't think you can lay Lew as top Polish scorer so there is no simple hedge. You could back the other guy but what if some random scores one or even two. Lew is 13/2 to score 2 or more. Allowing for the bookies' profits that equates to, maybe, a 12% chance of him doing it. Of course, he could score two and still not be top scorer but let's say you have an 11% chance of winning.
He's 5/4 in the anytime, which is maybe a 40% chance of scoring according to the bookies.
Dunno what I'd do - depends on your situation. How much would a profit of 116 when it would have been 926 hurt? Losing 50 when you could just take the 216 wouldn't be fun either.
Generally cashout is poor value so from that POV you could let it ride. But for me, Japan 2-0. Haha, no fecking help whatsoever!

£50 on Lewa, Kane, Costa and Salah to be their country's top scorer @ 19/1 gets reduced to £25 @ 19/1 because Lewa is joint top scorer.
Half wins are fair if they only affect that particular part of the bet. The £50 stake isn't on Lewa alone but Lewa, Kane, Costa and Salah. Fair in this instance would be if the stake was divided by 4 and they settled the Lewa part of the bet as a half win.

But it isn't £50 is it? It's an accumulator where the stake and winnings roll on from one leg to the next. So effectively there is £400 or whatever on Lewandowski and that ius being halved. In the same way if one leg loses you lose the whole acca and not just that leg! Either way, it is what it is and at the moment he needs a goal to get 1/3! But hopefully the bet is cashed out!
The Salah, Kane, Costa parts of the bet are completely unaffected. Their odds are getting paid out in full. It's not a bookie rule to rip people off. It's mathematically the only correct way to do it.
Instead of £50 at evens on Lewa, rolling onto the Salah, Costa, Kane treble. It's £25 at evens rolling onto the treble.
