Down boy, shes only a kiddie

This is what Murray needs to get the British public behind him. A Gutsy win.

Lets have it Andy

That Murray is a hard guy to like, his constant fist pumping whenever he wins a point and his spoilt brat, nerdy looks all grate.

I actually don't think he means anything by it, but he seems to be doing a good bit of his shouting and fist pumping after Haas misses, rather than when he hits a winner, which is considered a bit unsportsmanlike. Still, it's good to see that he actually cares. Hope he goes on to win, Wimbledon is always better with a Brit in the latter stages.

Better then the Clean public relations friendly Henman imo.

First set Nadal 7-6. I think he will walk away with the rest of the match now. Kiefer is trying so hard to match Nadal that he is pushing his shots right to the very edge, and he is missing shots long as a result.

Good performance from Murray today, his game has come on leaps and bounds, played some great tennis today and the fitness and stamina issues from a couple of years ago seem in the past, although this will be tested properly in a five set epic down the line.

Nadal is murdering Kiefer here. He finally looks like he has come to terms with grass, and he seems to be playing his natural game. This sort of performance will have Federer worried. If these two make the final again I think we might be in for a classic.

I think he finally has the game for grass now.

He is my tip for this years title.

Roddick sucks, i can't stand watching him. One dimensional player with a big serve and no personality = extreamly boring to watch.
So glad the dog Sharipova is out, listening to her bark with every hit is like listening to someone scraping ice out the freezer. Horrible.

Murray played very well but Hass will be a much tougher game. If he gets through that then he'll probably go onto face Nadal in the quarters? Could be a classic.

Quite clearly if you say Andy Roddick of all people has no personality you have no idea what youre talking about.

He's looking very very dangerous to Federer. He seems to have figured out how to play on grass, and much as I hate to say it, if he and Federer are starting from an even footing, Roger might be in serious trouble. Nadal seems to have taken a little topspin off his forehand, keeping the ball a little lower and he's getting the ball through the court quicker, which will worry any player in the tournament.

I really hope we see him play Federer in the final with them both at their best, could be the best final in memory.

It would be an awesome final I think, and one that every tennis fan wants to see this year.

The gap is closer and closer every year but I have to still give the edge to Federer.

Last year's wasnt that bad either

Federer is my favourite. love the way he floats on the court and hes just magic and brilliance.

Ivanovic is fit as.

Murray is a prick and you can tell the croud dont love him like tim-the atmosphere is not in the same league as previous henman matches.

I hate the noise that murray makes when he says ''come on'' its horrible and so is his scowl at the same time.
The great one is straight down on one knee, fist pump and ''vamos'' from nadal. the croud dont care about that mody scottish prick any way.

The women want the same money as the men but the play best of three sets which over a whole tournament is alot less games. especially as the best girls are winning their matches like 6-1 6-2 most times and are off the court without breaking sweat, lazy bitches.
i can understand that they arent as strong as the men but they should have the same endurance. if they want equality then they should play the same amount of sets, not that i really like watching the womens game (but for the fit girls) well its just not as good is it?

I hope federer wins as i dont like to think hes on the way out as hes only 27, too soon.

Love the cracking evening matches the atmosphere is special they prove that wimbeldon is in a different league to the other majors which are only sold out for the final (and the french croud booing sharapova, thats not british) my fave was this cracking 5 setter, barry cowan vs sampras as the sun was setting in '01.

Thats my 2 cents on my second favourite sport.

Bobby charlton is a legend.

Hope Federer can win it. People are writing him off and it is so foolis and premature. He may not win 3 slams a year any more but I think he will beat Sampras' record and still be a force in the slams for a few more years, even if he is not number 1. I can't see him doing a Borg and disappearing just because he loses at Wimbledon. Sadly, I don't think he will win the French unless Nadal is injured. Roger has 12 slams, and Nadal 4. Even if Nadal wins Wimbledon, he has a long way to go to match Roger's achievements. Not sure why the press are so keen to crown Nadal as the greatest. When and if he ever has 13 slams, maybe.

I haven't seen one report saying he is. Most are simply pointing out that they think Federer's best days are behind him, and Nadal and Djokovic are catching him. He is still(rightly) the favourite for every tournament that isn't the French Open.

I dont see that Federers best days are behind him he is 26 and had injury and illness problems this year. He is still reaching the French open final which shows he is no mug on the surface Nadal has simply been better. Is Nadal closer to winning Wimbledon than Federer is the French because of the performance in the final... who knows. They are both equally impressive on their respective best surfaces.

I agree with you btw, was just pointing out what the more negative reports seem to be getting at.

Many has been made about Nadal's improvement on grass surface, which lead me to a question:

How about Nadal's game on hard surface? Is he closer to winning the Wimbledon than, say, Aussie and US Open?

Its hard to say he did seem to progress his game in the Australian open but the loss to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Semi's was pretty comprehensive. Djokovic went on to win and was impressive in the tournament beating Federer so maybe that is where he will be best suited in the future. Nadal lost early on to Ferrer in the US open last time from what I remember. Federer does a better job of handling all surfaces but he is obviously more experienced so it could come in the future for Nadal.

Venus won the first set against Kleybanova who has hit a serious amount of double faults.

But Jankovic is a set down against Tanasugarn. Another top seed to be knocked out?

Venus really does look like a man.

Did you see the interview with Kleybanova? She sounds like Barry White!

Down a break in the second too now.

Time for Roger now

Surprised no one that Jankovic is out imo.

Shite tennis player, will never do anything
