Godamn it.
I know it doesn't matter sam. The women's game has gone to the dogs. I reckon Graf could come out of retirement and give these young ones a game. Capriati even as well
For 2 girls who only play the Majors and 4-6 other events you got to hand it to them.
Won everything already and still better at 60% in their tank then most of the others.
I'm still surprised, and disappointed, that Henin's retired. She was a joy to watch.
Anyone know what Ana says when she wins a big point? Must be Serbian I guess.
but I wonder if some of the praise and attention comes from how she looks rather than plays.
Simply turning up for the Slams isn't really the attitude to have, no matter how talented you are.
Thats the opposite side of the Williams sister coin which you was talking about earlier. Henin was so intense and focused on the sport that she chose to cut short her career and focus on other things. The Williams sisters see their other interests e.g business as a get away from the tour life, not that I agree with that approach.
She says "hajde" which means "come on" in serbian.
I wouldn't have them near me tbh, but they turn up, they have to be played against and they grind out the results
Didn't she also suffer from burnout?
Very true, but that's their natural talent that's getting them through, just think how good they'd be if they actually out 100% in week in week out. Personally, I just don't agree with how they do it.
It any of the sisters did a whole season they would be world No 1 and would be in with a good chance of the Grand Slam
here is a thing to do, watch Ivanovic and try and guess her shot before she does it. About 80% of the time you will get it right. Far too open, far too reliant on her forehand and a cross court back hand (which is probably the best shot she has)
Sam - If you get a chance look at A. Radwanska later on. Just turned 19, but naturally gifted and solid.
Better player then Ivanovic imo. Her 17 year old sister is playing S. Williams at present.
One for the long term future imo.
I'll certainly watch out for her.
What Court is she due to play on?
Court 18, will probably be last match when euro's is on

Ivanovic is through finally, not exactly impressive though.
Safin wins, wouldn't it be amazing if he won the whole tournament.
As for Djokovic, I think he'll win the US Open. Hardcourt is his best surface.
Nadal will win this one easily and he'll cruise the final. Can't wait til Wimbledon starts, Djokovic has really improved his game at the net and could play serve-volley.
Great volley at the net from Djokovic again. He'll be dangerous on grass too, not just on hardcourt.
2nd Round OUT. Totally buttfecked.
Let's hope you don't jinx him again
feck sake - he is something else with his backhand slice
