Wimbledon 2015

First time in the whole game he does something half sensible like leave a ball and he gets it wrong. On match point!

If he'd gone with his gut and tried a left handed roly poly overhead slam he'd probably be in the changing room now.

He needs to change things, a change of coach might help. I doubt it though, which is sad considering he was my favourite player. The matches between him and Federer were epic.

Yeah, I loved watching him play since he was an utter machine at his best, but he just seems really lethargic these days.

Perhaps, if he can find some form again, but I'd be surprised now to be honest. He's really looking past his best. Injuries seem to have caught up with him.
Next two years is where he needs to do it. I don't see him playing that well till 32/33. His game isn't suited to it.

Easily the most entertained I've ever been watching tennis.

I know Nadal is past it, but full credit to Brown. He was great.

Well played. That was bloody brilliant! Really hope he goes the distance just because he's so entertaining to watch

So many ridiculous shots from Brown. What a performance. Nothing is going to top this.

I thought the pressure would get to Brown, but he was too good today.

He should instantly be made world #1. Screw Novak.

I know people are saying Brown played well. But this is fourth year in a row Nadal has lost to a lesser ranked player.

Would Djokovic, Murray and Federer lost to Brown? Even Querry was attacking Federer at the start of his game. Federer came through that and broke his game down.

Nadal is done on grass and hard courts.

yeah does the point that Nadal has been in hell with a decline need to be emphasized again and again and again? The whole world has claimed he 's fecking past it for a year

I can't see Nadal winning another major. A shadow of his former self.

I'm not so convinced either but worth considering that he was out injured for the best part of the second half of 2014. I don't know, I don't expect him to get anywhere near to his best but I've still got a little bit of hope if injuries to come back

No, you're right. I don't think Brown takes a set off any of them on a good day.

Oh Nadal's tennis has ALOT to do with it. Some of his tennis was frankly just terrible. His forehand was all over the place, service was too easy, and mentally he seemed the weaker player on the day.

Nadal out early at Wimbledon once again, which is what you expect every year after the Rosol performance in 2012.

Nadal is done. The forehand is well and truly fecked.

That's the weirdest thing about it all. You can understand his movement, speed, defence etc all declining with all his knee problems. Pretty much everyone predicted he'd struggle physically once he started to age. But I don't understand why his forehand is just so poor, it doesn't add up. It's barely even threatening anymore, bar the occasional beauty.

It happens. Post 30 tennis playesr rarely do great things in recent times. He's 29 and has a rigorous style.

Those knee injuries are hard to come back from, tendinitis or cruciate's destroy a lot of your game. always makes me think of how great big Ronaldo became after 2 cruciates, imagine if he never did his cruciates???
