Wimbledon 2013

I still think having a roof is unfair. For one, the guys scheduled to play on center court are guarenteed to finish their matches on the designated day in the early rounds. Potential opponents in the next round who are playing on the outer courts are not afforded this luxary.

It benefits the better players, the ones the sponsors and organisers want to have in the later stages. They give them as good of chance as possible of making it to the semi's.

It's personality though. The lad has so much personality. This is what people* want

It's the usual "character" pretty much is a synonym for idiot. Whenever someone is mentioned as a character they're pretty much always people who in the real world no one would have any time for and end up self destructing their career. Gazza is probably the best example.

This is my point. The better players who are scheduled for center court don't need this extra help anyway.

The point of the roof is to try and minimise disruption caused by rainy weather.

Obviously just messing

Only on center court. Not for the other players playing outdoors.

I can see the benefits of it for quarters, semis and finals but not for earlier rounds. Plus it seems to have become a tactical tool more than anything.

I must say this has been a very sub standard match, a significant drop in quality from the earlier semi. The Pole fella simply makes too many errors and Murray, even more than the norm, has hardly went for any winners.

It's not like Murray is a mug himself indoors, so the effect this will have is being overrated, maybe if it happened at 1-1(sets) before Janowicz imploded, then it could have changed something.

Yep, most of the people described as having a personality especially in tennis are also absolute tawts e.g McEnroe.

Who's the commentator?
He's annoying and incredibly biased.

Those indian chicks

Nice one Lineker.

@GaryLineker

Maybe if James Corden left the arena there would be much more light. #wimbledon

Djoko will win. And fairly comfortably.

You can tell he's a bit green around the gills. With experience he'll probably realise that hitting the ball as hard as possible does not win you points.

Well done to Murray though. This is his window right now if he ever wants to win this tournament.
