Thing is, it would just be like Murray for him to come out and clinch the final two sets. Say what you will about him, but he's got far more bottle than Tiger Tim ever had.

48% first serves in during the 3rd set from Murray is not going to win him anything against Nadal or any of the other top 5 players. Always been something in his game that if he cant get right on the day will catch up to him against the top players, against the others in earlier rounds he could get away with it but not in the semi against Nadal.

The problem with Murray is that he really needs his first serve to work. He got 90% points on his first serve in the first set when he was serving incredibly well.
He should do what Djokovic and Nadal have done and work on the serve.

Thing is he has worked on his serve since he first broke through into the professional ranks, he just has too many matches where he just doesn't turn up with his serve or he fades badly like he has today. I'm just wondering how much the tweak he felt again in his hip in the 2nd set affected his serve in the following sets.
Always been a weakness at times with Murray and he needs to keep working on first/second serves to get them both improved, as you cant serve like this against the top players you will always get punished.
You can tell he's getting slaughtered because any time he wins a point the crowd react like he's broken serve or something.

In fairness to Murray, when Nadals hits this form, no one can touch him. Federer and Djokovic would be just as helpless.

That's unfair on United. At least Barca had to play well to beat us. Nadal's level hasn't improved that much since the opening set. He's still missed the odd back hand. But Murray has made too many errors and hasn't put him under pressure at all. Mentally he is nowhere near the ranking he has.
Give it a break. Like any sport when you are up against the best this is what it looks like
