Beckers also just said Nadal is clearly physically struggling.

and when was that?

What about the on court coaching? Isn't that banned and isn't that cheating from Nadal? Or this doesn't count?

As Nadal was signing autographs walking off him and castle were discussing it.

hm, I turned it off after the end of the match. And what was the reason for it, was it the arm, or the knee, or the thigh? He cited so many injuries in this match I lost the count.

In the forth set it was pretty much clear that Nadal didnt have anything to bother him physically. His running was not affected. Both Becker and Mac said multiple times that whatever it was that didn't bother him.

I can see there are plenty of Nadal fans, but applauding gamemanship like that - both medical timeouts and on court cheating is not right.

Why is Desailly commentating on tennis?

PS: oops sorry the stream switched to the football

What on court cheating?

"Code Violation - Coaching. Warning Nadal."

Cedric Mourier -chair umpire.

Oh yea I forgot about that, that was weird - he didn't even seem to be looking in that direction at the time. If he was getting advise though then yes that's not good.

Anyway, come on Simon.

Well it isn't the first time. Only this time he got an official warning. Not that he didn't couple of times as well.

Anyway after that classless win Murray breaks 2-0 against Simon.

Should be fairly easy match for him.

I'm pretty sure he was not getting any coaching at that point. Earlier maybe Toni said something but at that time he was clearly not.

Which is why Rafa got so angry. Which is weird because I've never seen him throw a racket or get angry in anyway

Oh and murray will win sadly. Simon is not as good as he was 2 years back

Good lord your obsessed.

I hope Nadal makes the final and plays Fed and Fed is serving for the match in the 3rd set and Nadal takes a medical time out and again in the next 2 sets and win the match.
Would be hilarious just to watch you explode

I don't like cheating on tennis court, period.

If you are fine with someone simulating injury, being coached on court, fist pumping on opponents UF errors(which Nadal also did), I'm not.

Nadal uses all the antics - wasting time in between the points added to those aforemented. If Federer loses to Nadal it wouldn't be the end of the world, not that it hadn't happened before. :)

Wow lots of bitterness on display on here today, Federer fan boys begning to panic because his owners got through?....

If only we had the ever so gracious federer to ensure fair play was of the highest order today.....

Vamos Rafa.

Panic at what?
I pretty much doubt either Nadal or Federer would make the final the way both are playing so far.

Enjoy your cheating boy out there today. Real "classy" win.

Honestly where was the cheating? That just reeks of extreme levels of bitterness because the guy who you didn’t want to win won.

Anyone who hasn’t been in a coma for the last 12 months knows all about Nadals injury problems he missed last years Wimbledon due to his well documented tendonitis and was clearly moving awkwardly during that last set a point both commentators made frequently (obviously you missed this part happens during period of selective hearing), and seeing as The German player called more injury time outs than Rafa did today anyway (would you have called him a cheat had he won? I think we all know the answer here) the only conclusion to your bitterness over Nadal winning would appear to be because the longer hes in the tournament Federer and his lovers know his chances of winning are considerably less due to Nadal having Federer in his pocket in slams.

Nadal won fair and square, more winners less unforced errors and less injury time outs, the stats speak for themselves.

Nadal got called out and warned at Code violation. He was coached on court. Have you ben watching the game? On this cheating you can't even speculate.

Nadal called the trainer for problems with the arm? Does he have chronic problems there? Then he got problems with the thigh? Are they crhonic as well?

If he really had any problems did that effect him on court? Why when he wasn't injured in the first 3 sets he was losing, and after he injured himself he start winning? If you are injured shouldn't you play worse?

This cry wolf is tedious, Nadal always takes a medical timeout when he's losing - this is not an isolated incident.

Shhh Saint Roger can do no wrong :lol::lol:

Laughable really isn’t it considering Federers probably the most up himself arrogant bitter loser on the tour, comments a plenty disregarding his rivals achievements, playing down their ability, making classless references regarding other players health issues, refusing to give any credit whatsoever whenever beaten instead seeking excuses as a reason the list goes on, he’s become intolerably arrogant over the years.

As for Rafa i don’t think ive ever once heard Nadal fail to praise his opponent win or lose and show the utmost respect and i know Nadals never once made pretty disgusting remarks about other professionals health either, and I doubt you’ll ever hear Nadal downplay Federers records unlike the swiss did toward Nadal a couple of weeks ago where he nothing short of rubbished his achievements on clay.

Nadals a gentlemen (another point made by the commentator today) Federers nothing of the sort.

Yes. That's why Federer is 6 times winner in a row of the "Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award" and Nadal has none. Your point is clearly valid.:lol:

And what comments has Federer made during the years? Who has he insulted?

pretty disgusting remarks about other professionals health either

Blake said that when he was hospitalized in Rome in 2004 with a fractured vertebrae, Federer was the only tour player to acknowledge his accident.

How exactly do you know what Nadal was feeling? so because hes not had a record of arm injuries he couldn’t possibly have had any pain whatsoever today? utterly ridiculous logic desperate in fact.

Secondly why did Nadal start winning after the third set? hmm i dunno perhaps because the german player was visibly out on his feat midway through set 3 another point made by the commentators this afternoon? Just to remind you when players tire they tend to miss more and their game then drops off, Nadals a physical specimen and probably the fittest guy on the tour in terms of longevity in a match its hardly surprising he was outlasting his opponent as the match wore on something hes done for years.

Basically your disgruntled Nadals won and your seeking to make rather baseless comments on his faking injury when really you’ve got no clue whatsoever what he was or was not feeling, your basing his apparent faking of injury on the fact he was winning toward the end of the match, you also conveniently fail to make reference to his opponent not only also taking medical time outs (more of them) but also visibly on his last legs.

I think most people who follow Tennis know the longer a match goes with Nadal the less chance you have because he'll always outlast you, a point again made during the 4th set "for Petchner to win he'll have to win it this set (4th set) says the commentators because hes knackered basically.

Mate give it up. That guy is obsessed with Nadal. He hears what he wants to hear and has crazy conspiracy theories.

For me Nadal is always more sporting than Roger.

I remember the final at Madrid this year.

1st set, a Roger shot got called out and he was not happy so Rafa went and checked it and gave roger the point without even calling the umpire.

2nd set a Nadal shot gets called out and it's quite clearly in. Everyone can see it and yet Federer acts like he can't see it and calls the umpire to check it.

What put Fed's lack of sportsmanship even more in perspective was that despite Fed doing that, 2 games later Nadal AGAIN gave Fed a point which the umpire called out without making him come and check it.

Nadal is one of the classiest and humble guys and has not let his success get to his head.

You'l also NEVER hear Nadal talk about Murray and Djokovic the way Federer has done on multiple occasions.

How exactly do you know what Nadal was feeling? so because hes not had a record of arm injuries he couldn’t possibly have had any pain whatsoever today? utterly ridiculous logic desperate in fact.
Cause it didn't affect him in any way. Did you noticed him slowing down? He was running the same as in set one. Was he hitting slower serves? On the contrary. You said that due to chronic issues he called for a medic. Are thigh and arm chronic with him? You contradict yourself here.

so here's another contradiction. If Nadal was tired, injured or in any way physically handicapped how the hell he didn't lose? Ah, yes, he's a "physical specimen". If he's the fittest guy on tour why does he always call for a trainer?

Basically your disgruntled Nadals won and your seeking to make rather baseless comments on his faking injury when really you’ve got no clue whatsoever what he was or was not feeling, your basing his apparent faking of injury on the fact he was winning toward the end of the match, you also conveniently fail to make reference to his opponent not only also taking medical time outs (more of them) but also visibly on his last legs.
so his opponent is visibly "on his last legs" then he surely used that medical timeout for a purpose? Was Nadal on his last legs? And even if Pet is a cheater, do 2 wrongs make a right?

Why was he running like a rabbit after that medical timeout and fist pumping at UF errors?

I think most people who follow Tennis know the longer a match goes with Nadal the less chance you have because he'll always outlast you, a point again made during the 4th set "for Petchner to win he'll have to win it this set (4th set) says the commentators because hes knackered basically.
That of course is a valid point...if Nadal is not injured. How can you be the fittest guy on tour and call the trainer every match you lose, answer me that

On the side note, how many medical timeouts did Isner or Mahut take in their 7 hours battle, when they were on their last legs?

Yeah for whatever reason it does seem he has a chip on his shoulder where Nadals concerned, but it does go beyond a reasonable deislike when someone accuses a player of actually cheating all because he didn’t want him to win…..obviously hes a distinct Federer fan boy and so id guess since Nadal came on the seen and took Federers place at the top of the game as well as dishing out numerous beatings to him along the way its meant unfortunately hes taken a great dislike to Nadal as a result, how dare Nadal be world number one! its not fair! he MUST be cheating!!

You have to wonder just how many times Nadal has to embarrass Federer (even on Federes favourite surfaces) before people accept hes not only the better man but the better player.

I think if you were to ask Murray and co who the more gentlemanly opponent is theyd say Nadal in a heartbeat, I think Murrays said things along those lines about Nadal already.

But yeah theres not much point trying to debate rationally with someone whos so clearly up Federes rear orifice to such an extent.

You obviously don't follow tennis much. Federer was the first to give credit to Murray back in 2007 and to say that he has a pretty bright future.

And I can't really see where the gamemanship is in your example. Federer has conceded a lot of points that way. Not exactly the same situation.

TBH Enigma is a bit of a twat.

Thanks :)

Uhm what debate? Have you or any other provided any example of Federer cheating the way Nadal does?

Has Federer been officially warned of code violation for being coached on court?

Federer has been throwing rackets and cursing like a madman in his junior years, but has cleaned his game out of this. Of course he has his moments but in comparison to Nadal is not in the same league.

.

Before Murray became a threat yeah. After that he's been slagging Murray off a fair bit. Maybe you don't watch or read enough eh?

It's all fair and good being sporting when the person is a newcomer and not a threat or when your winning.

Federer never really has anything good to say about Murray these days.

Im still waiting for you to prove Nadal was cheating by supposedly feigning injury beyond the very weak argument of "well he must have been because he won the last 2 sets" your the one accusing people of being cheats here no one else here, ive never once claimed anyone was cheating so you on your own on that one im afraid.

Has Federer been officially warned of code violation for being coached on court?

I dont know, how do you know Nadal was being 'coached on court' in the first place? as the commentator was saying at the time it happened how can that be proved exactly? was the umpire spanish? does uncle tony shouting down vamos Rafa consistute being coached? do you know what was said if anything at all between the two of them that proves this? nope im guessing is the answer.

Federer has been throwing rackets and cursing like a madman in his junior years, but has cleaned his game out of this. Of course he has his moments but in comparison to Nadal is not in the same league.

No doubt about that, their Head to head record alone tells that story. ;)

As for Federers actions, come off it you must be joking, whenever hes losing or in trouble whatever he starts cursing at the umpires, claiming Hawkeye is a fix (wimbledon 08 final when he was losing unsurprisingly) and generally finding every excuse under the sun as to why hes not winning, if thats him cleaning up his act god help us, hes one of the worst on court complainers when things arnt going his way....today was the first time ive ever even see Nadal get angry at an umpire and arguably he had every right to, Federers at it all the time when things aint going his way.

And as for your classy Fed remember him telling the umpire to "fu*k off" at USO last year? Or is that another part of your selective memory?

I thought him wearing the "15" coat after beating Roddick last year was pretty classless and arrogant as well.

uhm, Murray just ended his streak at Cincy and beat him? Federer never had a winning h2h with Murray to begin with. I don't recall Federer losing to Murray in a slam to imply he's slagging him because now he's a threat.

What bad things he said have touched you anyway?

And as for your classy Fed remember him telling the umpire to "fu*k off" at USO last year? Or is that another part of your selective memory?

I thought him wearing the "15" coat after beating Roddick last year was pretty classless and arrogant as well.

As I said, he has done that before in his youth years. It's not an excuse for him to behave like that and should've been warned by the umpire(I think he was). However that has nothing to do with putting his opponent off, like Nadal did today.

Federer also trashed a racket in Miami last year against Djokovic, something he had not done like for 5-6 years before - again he got a warning, again not acceptable behavour.

Federer took a bathroom brake against Davy in AO - but the big difference is that he took it in between the sets when that is allowed and when players usually have more time to rest. He did show up on court just when the umpire said time.

Federer also had medical timeout against Murray back at the TMC when he had back issues and due to that he missed Paris Masters - he took it again between the sets.

I think that are the matches he used timeouts in recent years if you have to add something - go.

Remember Fed once saying this about an old and ailing Agassi:
"I have beaten Agassi so much lately that I am not worried about him"

Maybe true but for a supposedly classy person as Fed you keep such opinions to yourself and show a man like Agassi some respect who (at that time) had won more slams than him

Okay I don't watch that much of tennis but I do hate Federar so I'd add to his shenanigans.

I remember him opposing the hawkeye technology after he'd lost. And then he won the grand slam pretty much taking after taking help from hawk eye that time he doesn't even have the courtesy to appreciate the technology or say he was wrong at first.

There was this period before the Australian Open I think last year where for no real reason Fed started slagging Murray off. Now I don't like Murray myself but Federer was fairly classless in that regard.

He also mocked Djokovic about his breathing and health problems. That's not a sign of a classy person.

Was that when he started losing by any chance? i remember it well, typical Federer really, as soon as things started going wrong it became everyone else fault and his behaviour reverted to type ie arrogance rudeness and plain bad sportsmanship.

He also mocked Djokovic about his breathing and health problems. That's not a sign of a classy person.

Oh what was it exactly?

I'd be shamelessly quote your entire argument next my Fed loving mate starts his BS.

It was after some slam when Djokovich pulled out of a Slam. Wait i'l find a link

Yeah that was disgusting i remember that being the tipping point for my great dislike for him, never been a fan in the first place but arrogance on top of plain derogatory personal remarks about a fellow pro was just bang out of order.

And your spot on about the Murray thing as well and its not gone unnoticed by many in the game either, Federer was all sweetness and light where Murray was concerned until Murray started getting further in Grand slams, then it all changed....

Oh what was it exactly?

Djokovic, the No. 3 seed, threw in the towel midway through the fourth set of his quarterfinal with Andy Roddick, trailing 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-2, 2-1. But in pointed comments, Federer, the No. 2 seed, noted that it wasn't the first time Djokovic has withdrawn midway through a match in a Grand Slam.

"He's not a guy who's never given up before ... it's disappointing," said Federer, who will face Roddick in the semifinals. "I've only done it once in my career ... Andy totally deserved to win that match."

"I'm almost in favor of saying, you know what, if you're not fit enough, just get out of here," Federer added. "If Novak were up two sets to love I don't think he would have retired 4-0 down in the fourth. Thanks to Andy that he retired in the end. Andy pushed him to the limits. Hats off to Andy."

That part was just pathetic. There is an interview too where he further mocks Djokovic's "health problems"
