fecking hell, just got home from uni expecting a result and they're still at it

Incredible stuff, unfortunate that one of them had to lose, but a great effort.
 
They really should re name it the Isner Mahut court.

Hasse has gone crazy against Nadal. 12 aces in his 5 service games. Crzy. Nadal is going to have to do very well to win this.

If he keeps serving like that then yeh, as he'll be such a threat in tiebreakers, but if his level of serving drops, then Nadal will surely eat him up
 
Problem is serve is not dropping at all.

14 aces in 6 games. Nadal can't get anywhere close when he gets the 1st serve in.

Yep, but surely he won't serve this well the whole match, that's my point, if somehow he does maintain it, then he will be a big problem to Nadal in the tiebreaks...of which we are rapidly approaching in this opening set

30-0 up and then to just breakdown like that is shocking.
 
Isner-Mahut has to be one of the greatest sporting spectacles of all time
 
Nadal's really struggling on the 2nd serve. Hasse keeps anticipating where it will go and he's smashing the 2nd serve all over
 
Hasse has nothing much to his game really besides the huge serve.

Almost anytime we have a rally Nadal wins it

This is something that has really pissed me off about Rafa since queens..

Absolutely bloody simple put aways at the net and he misses them. And then gets broken. Nadal has been quite terrible at points in this game.

Hasse one game away from taking this set. Sigh

Nadal does not deserve to win today.

He's going to go out today if he does not get his act together
 
Even If rafa wins this match it's not at all convincing. To lose two sets to a guy ranked 150 places below you is poor.

Federer played 2 guys in the zone. Falla and Bozo were hitting big and deep, enough to trouble him on serve. Yes Federer is not in his prime, but those matches were pretty close and no only because of Fed sucking in them.

Joker, Davy and Cilic were never that good on grass at first place. Ljubicic is past his prime and never had a decent run at Wimbey as well, Nadal had let the first set slip away but the way Haase broke him in the 3rd was incredible. The kid sure has some shots and since the serve is his read and butter no wonder he's giving Nadal all sorts of trouble.

Nadal doesn't feel comfortable against big servers at Wimbey - Kendrick, Soderling...
