Players talking, feck the crowd it's an incredible achievement they've played this long. fecking muppets.

They should stop it. 7 hours is enough entertainment for the day

Play Suspended. feck the crowd booing.

Ah crappy stream. Why are they talking have they agreed for a coin toss?

Incredible stuff, credit to both players to last this long. Amazing match, doubt anybody will get close to the length of time they played. Fantastic achievement for both players an epic contest, and its still not over after 10 hours!!!

Mahut schould have continuted though. He was far the fitter player

It looked like Isner was willing to carry on? If so, thats strange because he was clearly the more tired (unless he was acting :nervous:)

Only just found out about this, caught the last game before they called it for the night

Absolutely astonishing. Isner looks as fecked as you'd think he would be yet wanted to carry on, Mahut looks fresh as a daisy but doesn't!

Crazy match, crazy crazy match

Isner's been on empty since game 40 or something. Mahut was showing visible signs of slight tiredness - yet Isner continued and faced so few break points - even looking better as the time went on. It was only really a matter of time before Mahut became more and more spent - and that would be where Isner could perhaps find an opening.

So the final ace count was 97 95 in favor of Isner.

Incredible comeback in this department by mahut

Isner was running on empty from more like the 20's actually. End of 20's and initial 30's he really slowed down on serve.

There will be an entire dvd set just for this set imo

How did these two break each other in 2 of the 5 sets?!

So far the match has seen 163 games played, Nadal played 173 in the entire French Open.

Epic.

Shame that they couldn't carry on, though. Tomorrow will probably see the match end after just a few games.

Yeah probably a break in the first game or so.

But it deserves to be played out on centre court really

that's tennis then ladies and gentlemen. Incredible effort realy. Just goes to show how dedicated these guys are at the top level of tennis.

If those two can go on and play 7+ hours non stop, 10 hours in just 2 days and Mahut spinging like a jack rabbit, that speaks volumes about how fit really are Nadal and Federer, and how long they can keep it up at top level.

Isner is well known for his physical issues and that he's not exactly the fittest guy on tour. But ripping forehands like that and serving 130+ mph in > 50 sets a piece is just incredible.

Well, at one point at 30-30 or somewhat Isner had faced 1 BP throughout the match and got broken once. At the same time Mahut has faced like 8 BP's 90% in the first set and got broken again - once. After the first two sets they went unbroken for 144 games.

I wouldn't bet on quick finish tomorrow.

2120: Isner - "Nothing like this will ever happen again... ever. He's serving fantastic, I'm serving fantastic. That's really all there is to it. I'd like to see stats, the ace count. We both couldn't agree to play so they cancelled."

2119: Mahut - "He's just a champ, we had to fight like we never did before. Someone has to win, we'll come back tomorrow and see. I mean, it's amazing, the crowd is just fantastic. Everyone wants to see the end, but we'll have to come back. We play for too long, I don't know how many hours."

Major respect to both of these guys.

Isner's going to be absolutely knackered tomorrow. His legs will be like jelly, if today is any indication. But he will have more power in his serve.

I can see this being over in ten minutes.

The only saving grace for them is the guy they'll play next went to 16-14 in the 5th. But still I doubt either will be able to move.
