I've just got a text off a mate who's there saying that the buzz around the complex is Federer just failed a drugs test!

Sure the Venus Williams' game earlier wasn't a great match but she is the current champion and therefore when she is playing and centre court is available I guess they are going to play her on it. She is one of the draws.
Reading you posts is almost as boring as watching women's tennis.
Reading your posts makes me realise that you are a massive bellend.

im too lazt to read this thread, is murray playing today?
Murray's 33/1 on. That can't be sensible in a two-horse race.

Murray played some superb tennis, Troicki was totally shellshocked.Very boring watching Murray wait for his opponent to feck it up.
So, what happens if you put a shit load of money on Murray, then he has to retire because of injury and the tie is awarded to his opponent?
Would you lose the lot?
Murray outstanding. At least 14 aces and a variety and subtlety that should be making a few on here eat their words. Poor Troicki, he didn't stand a chance.
You would indeed
I bet on a player who didn't compete because he was injured, and got my money back because he hadn't played a game in the tournament and a replacement stepped in. But once they're in, you just lose your cash
But you'd still be getting crap odds because you're essentially just betting on an injury, and I'm gunna go ahead and assume the ratio of forfeit games to played is bigger than 33-1
You've long since seen the huge improvement in Andy Murray, brophs, fair play to you. The fact that it is continuing makes his winning a Slam all but inevitable. His stamina and first serve consistency is beginning to make his other attributes (such as nous and variety) count for more.I must admit, until a year or so ago, I didn't see him becoming the player he is. He's a lot mentally stronger than the vast majority of players on the tour, and he has plenty of weapons to hurt his opponents with. I have no problem admitting (as I have in the past) that he has more about him than I gave him credit for.
The next thing for him now is to win some slams. He hasn't jumped that hurdle just yet, no matter how often he beats the top players outside of the majors. I have no doubt he will though.

Indeed. I can't play tennis for sh1t but those kicker serves look like they would be pretty frightening if they were about 10 mph faster.True.
He needs to have a look at his second serve though. I saw that in the Gulbis match he was at something like an 80mph average on second. That's something he'll be looking to improve, I have no doubt. And looking at the way his game as a whole is coming along, you'd think he'll manage it.
It is when one of the horses is a 3 legged blind pony in comparison

So what do people here think, can Hewitt do his own version of Ivanisevic or nigh on one anyway? Somebody of his personality seems the more likely to be able to put a run like that together i'd say.
Hewitt should be out as soon as he meets a seed who is actually half decent on grass. I've taken 3.85 on Stepanek.
I think in their first 8 encounters, Hewitt won 7 to Federer's 1. But since then Federer has won something like 13 in a row. And most of those have been completely one-sided.I reckon you shan't be cashing in. But we shall wee.
I think it would do the tournament good to have an added story like that on the go, not that were he to make the Final and face Federer he wouldn't find himself confronted by quite the brick wall that is. Was not their last encounter in a Slam, at the US Open i believe, a rather one sided affair? You'll have to pardon my ignorance of the details for although i follow tennis to more than the average degree, i am no expert on the topic by any means.
Definitely does his best to fill the dour Scot stereotype though, unlike his brother.
