I'm not saying we shouldn't hire Ten Hag, I'm just saying in no way should the fact the fanbase is clamouring for Ten Hag have any sway over whether he is appointed or not.
As has been seen in the post-Fergie what the fan base wants is normally just as wrong as what the idiots who have been running the football side of the business thinks is correct, so if anything the fact the fan base wants Ten Hag, going by the history of what the fan base wants it would be a reason to think twice about appointing him.
The manager has to be the person who is best equipped to rework the footballing culture at the club and at least start to create a foundation that can be built on, while at the same time having to work within the cluster **** of egos, marketing, jostling for position, bureaucracy and just plain incompetency that is the structure at the club. Not to mention the what appears to be at least slightly toxic culture of the current squad.
