Will Harry Kane ever win a trophy? | No

Harry Kane always disappears in games that matter and yet everyone always act surprised when it does happen. Don't get it wrong, he's a world class player but he's not the guy you depend on when it matters to pull you through.
Completely agree

Kane might be cursed, but lets see, i still won't rule out Bayern until its mathematically impossible.

In fairness, there aren't many top managers that wouldn't win the league with Bayern. Next season he probably won't have to work under one.
Not Tuchel's fault that Bayern is second in the league. They are performing better than any other team in the history of the Bundesliga, only Bayern themselves had few better seasons. Tuchel is getting more points out of them than for example Ancelotti ever did.

All these takes about "Bayern are so bad they are second" really don't do Leverkusen justice who are on track to break all time records in the Bundesliga.

Look at Tuchel's performances in other competitions, though.

The guy is too negative, and much too focused on wing-backs and goals from set pieces, for a club as prestigious as Bayern. That club is meant to be dominant, he's much more of an underdog manager - I bet he'd be great at Inter.

I’m gonna say that you have to feel for him. He’s definitely one of the best ever players to have never won a trophy (yet).

Being all-time topscorer in EPL would have outweighted all of that anyway, he shouldn't have left.

Was there anywhere he could've gone where he'd win a trophy?

Spurs aren't winning one and no the "we ran a lot mate" isn't a trophy

We probably won't win a trophy

Bayern looked dead cert.

Who else was in for him?

He’ll be there for a few years yet, he’ll win something eventually.

I hope he does, it was only funny before cause it was Spurs.

That's right, and I also don't think he fits Bayern well. But nonetheless he is getting more points out of this team than anybody else in recent years. So you can't really fault him for not winning the league.

Being the top epl scorer means very little, especially if you don't have the trophies.

It is funny, very funny. He will win the big plate eventually because Bayern do win 9/10 Bundesliga titles. But for now, this is hilarious.

Don't agree at all, Shearer actually won the EPL, yet nobody even mentions it, he is always mentioned for being the all-time scorer.

I am pretty sure it works the other way round. If he hadn't won the EPL, whenever his record is mentioned, people would add stuff: Such a shame he wasted his career at a nothing club and won nothing.

Really don't, he just doesn't come up anywhere near as much as players who won more trophies.

Yeah, cause people really talk about all the nobodies that warmed benches for SAF United or Pep's City, get out of here.

Shearer is an EPL legend, thats just how it is, so yeah, they do, actually.

I don't like that attitude, would much prefer if the game wasn't encouraging top players to congregate at 4/5 teams for the chance to win something. Purely as an achievement any trophy he could have won at Spurs would have meant far more than those he will end up picking up at Bayern, who will no doubt go to town on Leverkusen at the end of the season to remove them as a threat

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying people talk way more about the players who won trophies and were good.

Like I've said before, the Spurs curse is too strong with him. He could go to Celtic and not win anything there.

You are completely correct

Would only be better if Spurs won something, but that will never happen.

Bayern were poor all over, not just Kane, Boey, Goretzka, Pavlovic, Musiala, all just as poor, with Sane not much better. Upamacano was asleep on that first goal, Pavlovich not going with the runner but going to the ball for the second. Kane had one shot all game, no control over the midfield, loose in possession, Musiala dispossessed 6 times. Mazraoui the only player to come out of that with an actual passable performance.

Infected Son with SK in the Asian Cup too.

Lamela did win the Europa League though.

Nonsense. Shearer is still one of the most talked out / respected PL greats. I agree that trophies come first and that’s essentially what you play for but in the era of statistical obsession top scorer in the best league will always be a huge thing.

Even if Bayern don't win the Bundesliga this season, they'll win it at a canter next season. Xabi will leave this summer and Leverkusen won't be able to re-create this kind of form.

Bayern actually have more points than they did at this stage last season, they've won 16 out of 19 games in the BL against teams not named Leverkusen. However Leverkusen are undefeated in their last 32 games, conceding only 14 goals in 21 BL games. That's not going to carry over till the end of next season, especially if the manager leaves.

Last season Leverkusen P34 - W14 - D8 - L12 - pts 50

This season Leverkusen P21 - W17 - D4 - L0 - pts 55

WTF are they feeding them?

Lewandowski will always be better

Kane is being smart. He's helping them lose to the Bundesliga this season so that when he wins it the following season it'll look like more of an achievement.

Some people don't understand how incredible Shearer's achievement and longevity was. Wayne Rooney didn't come close to that number and he's one of the best ever to play the sport.

He will get something before the end of his career, obviously. It's almost impossible to imagine Bayern not winning something over the next 2-3 years.

Another question, though. Has any player of that caliber ever reached his 30's without winning a trophy before? A quick search online suggests Kane might be the best player ever to not win anything, although he is obviously not done.
There you go

He has won the "best player who has won jack shit"

I have zero sympathy for a player of other clubs who used to be threat to us for most of his career. Totally fine if he never wins anything and couldnt care less if he does win something in another league.

Why are you lot so invested in him?

He's the only hope for England to win more than jack shit, at least in the short term.

All we heard last year was how the reason Bayern were not as good as years previous was that because they lacked a goalscorer. It's the first go to of insightful analysis from some of our most esteemed pundits. Arsenal fail to score in a couple games? They need a center forward. Real are losing Benzema's goals? They need a center forward. Bayern lost Lewandowski and they had one of their worst seasons last year? Guess what? They need a centre forward. Honestly, no wonder there isn't a single a top English coach in the game and there hasn't been one for what feels like centuries.
