You know when you have world class players in their 30s and you check their wiki page and it takes several minutes to go through their honors? These are Kane's:

Honours
Tottenham Hotspur
England

Pre Bayern:

- PL 15/16, Leicester's main rivals for most of the second half of the season. End up 3rd in a two horse race.
- WC 2018, piss easy route, gets schooled by Croatia in the semi.
- 2019 CL final, rushed back form injury. Clearly unfit, Spurs were playing with 10 men the whole game because of him.
- 2021 carabao final. Mourinho, who wins a trophy everywhere he goes, gets sacked by Spurs days before a cup final. They were chasing shadows throughout that final.
- Euro 2021 final, lost at home against a team with actual dinosaurs in their defence.
- WC 2022, favorable route towards the final, England had twice the xG of France but Kane missed a late pen and was knocked out.

Bayern:

- 2023 German super cup. His signing gets fast-tracked and announced on the very same day as the final. The Spurs meme wrote themselves. On his first day he'd have more trophies than he managed in a decade at Spurs. A few hours later... Leipzig absolutely tore team apart and won their first ever super cup.
- German cup, they get knocked out by... 1. Fußball-Club Saarbrücken e. V. Who the feck are they? Sounds more like a Harry Potter spell than a football club.
- Bundesliga. Bayern have had a stranglehold on that league for the past 11 years, even winning leagues they had no right of winning. Kane shows up and what happens? He's breaking the scoring records but... the German Spurs, Leverkusen, have unearthed the next manager prodigy and have a comfortable lead at the top.

Still in the CL and favorites for the Euros so surely this curse can't go on forever?

Bellingham will make sure he gets a trophy.

England mess up the Euro, a frustrated Kane retires from the team, Bellingham leads England as new captain to win the next World Cup.

To top off his season. England will lose in the Euros on penalties as usual, most likely to Germany and Kane will probably miss the crucial penalty.

I don't believe in curses, but if he leaves Bayern without winning a trophy then I might have to reconsider.

No. He will leave Bayern for psg and they’ll also finish 2nd

Bayern will still win the Bundesliga.

They have been crap all season long. Their drubbings of mighty Darmstadt and Bochum got them far too many plaudits.

Of course, their players are so good that they might win it through individual quality, but it is far from a foregone conclusion, especially after this weekend.

If he either doesn't win Bundesliga/UCL, or at the very least breaks Lewandowski's record, this would all have been a waste.

Few remembers that Shearer was a EPL-winner, they remember him most for being the all-time top scorer of the league, something Kane would have been, had he stayed.

They'll win the Bundesliga this season. Bayern are indeed 2nd right now with a 7 point deficit, but they have a game in hand with half the season left.

Champions League this year hopefully

It would have to be a mighty curse, to break another one called Neverkusen. I mean, whichever one prevails in the end it is guaranteed to be a majestic battle.

Do you think he made a deal with the devil?

He wasn't that highly rated as a youth, and then just burst onto the scene. Perhaps trade scoring powers for trophies.

He’ll obviously win silverware with Bayern, ever player will win silverware there almost by default. Even if they somehow manage to blow the league this season (which I don’t think will happen anyway), he’ll still get it next season, or he’ll get one of the cups.

Even if they somehow manage to blow the league this season
After today Bayern can't win the league on their own, they need Leverkusen to drop points. Technically it's now Leverkusen's league to blow.

I know but teams seem to wilt. Because Bayern win it every year it’s like they have a massive psychological edge, I felt that could be seen last season with the way Dortmund completely choked.

Leverkusen will still find some way to feck it up. And if Alonso has to start doing coke to make that happen, happen it will.

I hate that "Spurs finished third in a 2 horse race" argument. It was never a 2 horse race.

Yeah. Bayern will win the league next season.

That's true. Even if Leverkusen win, Bayern will take their beat players and possibly even the manager just like they did Dortmund. If they don't kill the competition on the pitch, they do it off it.

Even if Leverkusen wins it this season and Bayern go trophyless, I can't see them going on a dry run for several more seasons afterwards.

He’ll obviously win one at Bayern. They’re still potentially just 4 points adrift chasing a team that’s never won it before. Besides like everyone he would have known that Bayern weren’t a great team when he walked in given they needed Dortmund refusing the title, to “win” it last year.

He will get something before the end of his career, obviously. It's almost impossible to imagine Bayern not winning something over the next 2-3 years.

Another question, though. Has any player of that caliber ever reached his 30's without winning a trophy before? A quick search online suggests Kane might be the best player ever to not win anything, although he is obviously not done.

I remember people talking about how the Tuchel marriage wasn't a happy one and that he was a hugely overrated manager.

Bayern should be pissing the league.

Imagine he misses out on the title this year, starts to believe he’ll never win a title, and decides to move back to England to at least salvage that record. Then even if he got the record it’d have failure and cowardice drizzled all over it!
