Zaha is the Kagawa of this summer for me. Highly excited to see him play his first competitive game for us. He must start vs Wigan.

Could turn out to be a brilliant piece of business. He looks to be the type of player to get our fans off their seats

Thinking of making a comp of his best bits in pre-season before I go on holiday. IMO, he's been our best player and one out of our few players who has had me excited when he receives the ball. Any good song choices?

Reptilia by The Strokes. Not something I listen to much these days, but it should make for a good backing track. Plus there are some weirdly appropriate lyrics.

Sympathy with the Devil, Rolling Stones / Guns N' Roses. The song would be app, introducing our new devil, Zaha.

"Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man with wealth and taste...
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name,
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game"

I think every video of the new comer of ours, should have this song as background.

Can you do the same with Januzaj as well? Use a nice hip hop song.

Everyne knows real commentary beats music. And at max 1 replay of a goal/skill.

He's a kind of player I love - get's the crowd on their feet whenever he get's on the ball. He's confident, hard working and appreciates what's going on around him at any given time. His awareness and eye for a pass the biggest surprises for me so far.

I think he'll nail a starting place.

You should ignore most of the above and use a Hip hop beat/instrumental, but with no lyrics. These always fit videos well.

Hip hop on football videos is shit, it ruins them and make them un-watchable.

Found one, thanks for the suggestions, but I think this would fit in perfectly:

In terms of potential, easily, yes.

When fit, Young is much more better tactically, though.

Is he? I've never understood this idea that Young is an especially intelligent player. An intelligent player probably would have realised a bit sooner last season that asking for the ball, taking two steps forward and then turning round and giving it back is pointless.

In what sense? Zaha will prove he is in a different league imo. Young is not a united quality winger to be blunt.

I'm really hoping he's given a run of games to start the season, even with the tough start. He's very exciting to watch, and I think we've really missed having more players who can abuse defenders with raw speed.

I can see why people are getting so excited. And a little ahead of themselves ;)

Nothing wrong with expectations. Its just that the forum tends to go towards opposite extremes very quickly. Clev for instance went from being one of the best talents around to not good enough in just 1 season. Pre-season games is one thing, the PL another. I just hope people are patient enough if he doesnt rip defences a new one this season.

He can't be worse than Young and Valencia of last season. We expect him to do better.

Looks very promising. Definitely needs to improve his overall technique though, both his touch, and his shooting technique. With his pace and power, he'll find himself in plenty of positions to provide killer balls or to score a goal, so he will definitely need to work on his finishing. His crossing seems pretty good so far, but it's only pre-season. Once he develops his touch/finishing, then we'll have a hell of a player on our hands I think.

I would assume he has pretty good technique in his pocket. He's young and is new to the club so I think composure is the issue at this point. Once he over-comes that I suspect you will see his technique 'improving.'

Has good balance. He does track-back unlike some other step-over king.

Take on Me by Z-Aha?

I think his touch is very good. Don't see an issue with that myself.

It must be stated here, once and for all:

Zaha > Young

Its all about options. Having four or five wingers, each who bring something different to the table, gives the manager more options in terms of formations and how to attack various defenses. That said, Zaha is about a year or so away from developing his style to where it would be difficult to justify leaving him out of the starting XI.

Yeap -- when the game slows down for him which will allow him to make better decisions.

I think sometimes Zaha's touch can be a bit heavy but I would not call it poor, more careless.

He and Welbeck are actually pretty similar, they both possess great first touches usually, but on the odd occasion they leave u sitting there like

I dunno. Not noticed that much from Zaha myself. Welbeck does it quite often, his first touch is something he definitely needs to work. Maybe on the blanks you can afford a slightly heavy touch but I can't say I've seen much of that happening either way.
