It's tailor made for him and it would be massive craic on the terraces singing it. One everyone will join in with.

I imagine a good lively crowd could sustain the 'that's the way I like it' bit for aaaages. Wasn't there a match last season where Carrick's 'hard to believe it's not Scholes' song kept going almost non-stop?

(You did it more comprehensively that Kouroux or Maagge, so... there's that.)

Who knows as of now if he'll get anywhere close to Ronaldo's level, but he does remind me of an 18 year old Ronnie. Watching this lad do his thing at Old Trafford will be a sight to behold, I feel. His explosiveness will get a lot of people of their seats.

Good video MoneyMay. He's the player I most look forward to this season in both the league and in Europe. Can't wait to see how he deals with the step up and with superior wingers and fullbacks against him along with better players around him.

If he's not starting, he'll be a serious threat you'd think coming off the bench. He makes shit happen, coming on against tired defenders with his pace and trickery he'll be extremely dangerous.
Imagine subbing on both Zaha and Chicha against a tired team, almost unfair, I'd imagine...

Thanks, Brightonian and ciderman.

Can see Hernandez really lapping up all those crosses and splitting passes, in preseason we had andy cole MKII, but RVp and Chicha, will score bucketloads especially if we have baines on the other end

He's definitely caught the eye in pre season. I only saw him play and handful of games for palace but he's really impressed me since watching a bit closer on tour. He has confidence, power and pace in abundance.

A friendly 3 days before the league starts?? What a joke.

It's so pointless though, we need to get ourselves prepared for the premier league not send our players on a bloody international friendly.

To think many presumed this lad was to be loaned out a month ago. Now look at him, one of our stand out performers in the friendlies and actually looks to be our first choice winger right now, and called up for the full England squad. Bravo Wilfred.

Nani and Valencia have been out injured - you can't really say anything about Moyes' first choice wingers.

I'd imagine Zaha is still fourth choice for now.

He was rubbish against AIK by the way.

I doubt he's 4th very much. Ashley Young is almost like a spare part at Old Trafford these days. It seems Nani has been given a fair crack of the whip by Moyes, I think if Fergie was still here Nani would be out the door this summer. He did well till he did his hamstring. But for me Moyes has really taken an interest to Zaha, as he is a big believer in young talent. He did it at Everton and he did it at Preston. I wouldn't be surprised to see Zaha either starting or on the bench for most games this season, he won't be a Nick Powell.

In fairness all you have to do to get an England call up these days is be English.

Not saying he won't be a great success, but Rickie Lambert got the call as well today

Bollocks.
Rewatch the match then. He hardly put a foot right when he had the ball. He was better in the second half and the assist was good, but other than that he was clumsy and tried too many silly feints which didn't come off. You were probably just caught up in the moment in the stadium.

Bollocks.

He started brightly, along with Nani but he didn't play that well overall. On the whole I'd say he had a good tour and I think he'll get quite a few games at the start of the season which will give him a chance to stake a claim for a regular first choice spot.

I'm far from convinced he's ready for first team football here yet, after that pre-season. He'll be fourth choice I think.

Are you for real?

It all depends on the form of Nani, Valencia and Young. Neither have played much at all, which is why I think he'll get a few games in, even just on fitness alone.

If Young and Valencia are as woeful as they were last season then I would prefer Moyes to give Zaha a chance. It can't be more frustrating than Valencia run forward with the ball and then pass it back every time.

It's true he was crap in the AIK game, but it looked to me like the whole team was quite leggy. To be fair, that's what happens in preseason games played during the evening: the coaching staff will often have training sessions earlier in the morning with the intention of knackering the players out by the end of the day. It's all about conditioning at this point in preseason.

I personally reckon Zaha will start the season as the first choice winger given the sheer number of minutes Moyes has played him for thus far. You could argue that this was because of injuries to other players, but if it were just about getting the squad's fitness levels up, DM could have just as easily tinkered with the formation a little bit and fielded, for example, Cleverley or Fabio on the wing in order that a few of the under-utilised squad members might get a workout too.

This is totally unfounded, but I got the impression Moyes wanted to see Zaha forge a relationship with the likes of RVP and Rafael. He'll be in my fantasy football team, at any rate.

Bollocks.

It isn't bollox, he did have a pretty bad game. Tried too many step overs and kept losing his balance. Unfortunately that is exactly what he did last season for Palace. Dont get me wrong i think he will be a very good player, but its just way too early for him at the moment.

He is no way near taking valencias place, he is definately 4th choice at the moment. Give him time, he will be fine. He needs better composure but that will come with age and experience.

Those likening him to ronaldo at 18 are mad, and setting him up for a fail. He'll be a good impact sub and enjoy some League cup games but thats all we can expect this season.

That's what I expect as well. And he really is no Ronaldo. Even at 18 Ronaldo almost always looked in control at what he did. He was a showpony as well but he was actually fecking good at it.
Zaha looks not always in perfect control of what he does. His tricks come off at times but he certainly still has very very much to work on.

Indeed. He will come good though i have no doubt.

I also dont think in 4/5 years time he will be a winger, i think he'll be a number '10'.

One poor pre-season game and he's pegged right back down.

While I agree that he's a long way to go, he's been one of our best players on this tour and Moyes will give him plenty of time in all competitions this season IMO.

He has, but against very poor opposition.

Agreed. And before ppl go all bitchy because a Untied player is criticised I want to say that he certainly looks quite a talent. He has all the tools to make it here.
The only thing that he's really been shit so far in pre season was shooting. Has to work on that a lot I feel.

The more sensible ppl are just beeing realistic. Nothing to do with him beeing pegged down. But to call him our first choice straight away after a few pre season games in which he has looked quite good is just bullshit

I think he looks the business but he's definitely not ready to be a first choice winger here yet. The only way I can see him being one is by default. It doesn't mean I don't rate him, it means he's very young and was playing Championship level football last year.

The problem on here is that people tend to put absurdly high expectations on our youngsters and if Zaha ends up having an underwhelming season half the Caf will probably be calling for his head.

On the flip side a few decent games against league 1 standard opposition and some now think he's our first choice winger :wenger: I think he's nowhere near ready enough to play regularly this season, he's still very very raw.

Worth pointing out though, of all the upcoming English Youngsters, he's by far the best. Did well to get the lad.
