I said when we signed him that we should have gone in harder to get him over here. He would have been very useful for us and he had already had a huge number of appearances for Palace so feeding him with even more was not too important.

It would have been better having him here to take the nerves off things and let him establish his life in Manchester United as a Manchester United player. Now when he comes he will just have a summer to get comfortable and we can all expect him to have a nervous half a season that goes up and down a lot.

With the form our wingers has been in he would also had got to play a couple of games this half season as well which would have been perfect while he still got used to the United management, training and tactics. I think for his own sake 6 months of "no pressure settling time" would have been brilliant as well and he would have a lot of time to focus on self-development too.

Yeah, should have "tried harder" when Palace said they'd sell him to someone else who would agree to loan him back.

Excellent negotiation technique. Just try harder.

Read the full interview earlier. He seems pretty down to earth and sensible. Excited to watch him next season.

Got to agree. I love that he is humble enough to state how big of a deal it will be for him to walk in to the dressing room. He is very much like Nani when he first came, ridiculous talent and it will all boil down to how he applies himself.

A lot of them are seriously suggesting that he only turns up when the TV cameras are there. By that reckoning he should be OK at United.

PFA Championship player of the year.

Edit: Beaten to it by Cevno.

Excellent achievement. Still only 20.

He is Arse through and through so don´t understand why not choosing them if he could. It´s admirable that he is ambitous and wants to join the best team in England but if I were a great player in the 80s there is feck all chance I´d joined Liverpool. Either they are not the fans they make out to be or I´m different to most footie fans. Solskjaer is definately different to me and I´m greatful for that just don´t understand it. I´d rather be whatever earning just enough to get by working all night than joining Liverpool earning millions a week

Who players support doesn't really factor into moves as much as people think.

Thats because you don't see football as a career where as most footballers do.

Seriously, Magnus, think how many criteria are involved for a player making that kind of decision, we really can't put ourselves in their shoes. For a player like Zaha, who must feel like he's at the beginning of a potentially glorious career where he can make the most of his ability, he is taking a decision to get the absolute maximum from his career and his life; and to me, if I felt I had potential but I couldn't fulfill it at the club I supported, I'd feel less than completely satisfied.

Yep, he does. Still could have been his last home game, so just probably put that just in case.

Never mind that, why didn't he just order 'thank you'?

fecking textspeak, sell him back.

This is the only reasonable response.

Also Magnus, you'd rather just get enough cash to get by than join Liverpool to be rich enough to buy anything you want?

Are you 12 year old? Liverpool offered you the chance right now you'd be there!

Realistically, how good is he (or could he be in the future) ? I've only seen a few random clips in which he looks like CR7 circa 2004.

He's definitely got potential, maybe not to the likes of a Ronaldo but certainly to be a good player for us. He just needs to work hard and get some premier league games under his belt, im sure training with a completely different class of players compared to Palace will also see him improve at a fast rate. Im really glad we have him, the only worry I have is if Nani leaves and he's seen as a straight replacement because he's nowhere near his level yet and I dont want to rely on Young and Valencia week in week out.

He actually isn't as through and through as some people seem to think.Yes it's true he grew up in an Arse supporting family but by his own admission he spent more time training and playing so wasn't that 'fanatical' about them.

As for the rest of the post, it's rather confusing:confused:

Didn't John O'Shea support Liverpool? I don't think who you support has anything to do with the team you play for. If I was a pro with AIK and Liverpool want to sign me I would join them despite being a United Fan. as for Zaha I don't really care who he supports, as long as he gives his best in a United shirt.
